That's me.
>in-game funeral
come back online bro
I have abandoned online friends on all the once popular instant messengers. Feels good.
i remember this pasta :^(
Used to giggle at this shit until it literally happened to me.
>found a Sup Forumsro to play some DeS
>had a cool session until 4 AM taking turns helping each other to storm through the levels
>'that was cool, see ya later'
>last online more than 3 years now
That didn't look like a throwaway PSN account either.
why? were they clingy and annoying?
Nah, they were nice. Mostly MMO friends I've played with for years. I'm just a shit person that just stops logging in when he's lost interest.
He had so much fun playing with you he didn't want to ruin it retroactively by having a bad session.
>kirby holding bananas
PERFECT
>been friends with user for almost 8 years
>we meet another user and have been close friends for almost 5 years
>use to play almost everyday
>practically brothers
>doesn't get on for 6 months
>gets on and says "i'm free more now"
>that was almost a year ago
>user 2 retired almost a year and a half ago
>ever since then he got on less and less with each passing week
>hey man thanks for the games, i'm moving tomorrow but i'll chat soon
>giving people over the internet money
You're a special kind of loser, aren't you?
>"hey man! Just pray I don't go to prison! ^.^"
>offline
Matt, what happened...
holy shit
They found his CP collection.
>being lonely AND poor
jesus christ why do you even bother with existence, its not going to get any better
>be friends with one guy for 10 years
>says he's taking some time off to get his shit together
>stays offline for 1.5 years
>finally comes back
>doesn't respond anymore
>I love this forum
>It's a unique subculture with our own memes and own things
>Feel closer to the men and women behind the usernames than to any of my real world acquaintances
>I love you guys
>The golden age of message boards will never die!
Man
2007 come back
>little kid being annoying in tf2 server
>kid puts name, city and state in his steam profile
>a single google search gives you his address and phone number
>"wait how'd you get my address" "actually that's off by one number"
>"that's my sister's phone" "actually the area code is wrong"
>people threaten to call his phone
>while obviously holding back tears, tells us to fuck off then leaves server
YOU WERE THE PROBLEM
>Hey bro gonna catch you later, I'm going to visit my dad's new office tomorrow. Things are really looking up for us!
>Last Online: September 10th, 2001
Is there a worse feeling in vidya than MMO friends disappearing out the blue?
where's the image with the Pakistani tf2 guy that goes to war.
someone post it and see if this user got the days right
kek
>found a guy on facebook that I used to talk a lot and talk to each other on mic(one of the only that I was comfortable to do so) while playing warcraft III and other games
>he married 6 years ago
>tried to talk to him
>he barely answered
RIP
>log into GW2 after 2 years
>whole friend list grey
i'm gonna cry
Nah, what's worse is them quitting gradually. You know it's happening but can't stop it. Then one day, after a long time playing because you didn't know to do anything else but play, it just hits you that you don't talk to anyone anymore. You look at your guild list and everyone's name is gray.
literally me
Shouldn't have told them to be gone then, eh Craig?
Even worse than that, when they continue playing but got bored of you and don't try to talk/play with you anymore.
i dont get this meme
if you want to stay in contact with someone give them your email or phone number
>hey bro brb 2 seconds
>last online 2 mins ago
What are you salaried for, buddy? :^)
And after nearly a decade they don't get on anymore
>it's now 2,211 days
he's gone
Ahhh, memories.
I am an immigrant from southeast Asia and moved to America when I was young, my family lived in a small 2 bedroom apartment and right under us was a Russian family. Me and that Russian kid who's name was Michael in America were best friends ever since we were like 8, both of us had thick accents but we played video games and sports together all the time. Both of is were poor so one summer when we were 15, we both worked and we saved together enough money to build a really awesome gaming pc, he was a really nice friend and he told me that i should be the owner and keep it at my house. When we got home from school, we'd plat video games all afternoon if there was no other sports to play. Sometime when we were both around 18, his family decided to move to Florida.
Man, we are still best friends though, we still play games together almost every day even though we both are busy and hope someday we will live near each other
...
I can't make online friends because it feels like a commitment every time. I'll speak to someone a few times, get bored, and move on.
The idea of having lots of friends, in general, sounds like a job to me. I need a certain amount of alone time.
Treasure what you have and never let it go.
seeing your real life friends move on with their lives and abandon video games
>Have over $3k in video games on Steam thanks to pretending to be a girl
>Set profile to private and faked my death by saying I was going to Mexico on vacation
>Never go online again
I miss getting free games. Might make another account.
>real life friends
I wonder why
Not having MMO friends at all. I don't think I've made a single one for the last 7 years or something. You barely get to talk to people and if you do, it's mostly for raids and shit, which is more like a partnership for convenience than friends and shit.
Fuck, that's probably the main reason I can't give a fuck about MMOs anymore.
i'm the same way i like my company and the same can be said about irl as well
>have great friend since-mid school
>tons of fun together
>all the vidya we played
>he got married and got kids
>see him once a year
f-fuck women, THEY STOLE MY FRIEND
THEY RUINED MY FRIENDSHIP
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
How long ago was this?
A few years ago.
