This has been true ever since Fates/Smash 4. They pretty much required them to be separate in order to use either character in any meaningful context.

Literally a not issue since Tharja, Leo, Elise and Camilla and possibly Henry will be in the game.
They made her because people like her.

Archers tend not to work very well in the Musou formula, but we'll see. Most commonly, you get someone swinging around a sword and then switching to a bow for specific attacks, which certainly could work for some characters. Hero has occasionally been a sword/bow class (and I think either Hero or Pirate as axe/bow) so it is possible, even if not a pure Archer.

Didn't include DLC, but I assume that the first DLC will be either Echoes characters or, assuming they aren't saving him for a rainy day, Ike. If it's anything like HW, which it looks to be, each other game world will get their own DLC over time.

I never said FE didn't have moe characters before, it's a japanese RPG game with japanese character design. What irks me is that now the character design went full 2010s moeshit anime, and those types of characters have become the new face of the series.
