Pretty much. I mean instead of the game with most flawed combat and loading pretty much everywhere, you have a game with best combat and really short loading screens.

Dub is still worth a listen to at least.

Kiwami is the worst "new" yakuza game. It has the least amount of content and they turned every boss fight into required qtes.

If you are just playing for the story its fine but holy hell are the boss fights annoying and super tedious. The game is really just a cheap cash grab after the success of 0.

English dub is always a treat to listen to

I like the dub but I think I'm the only one.

Honestly the biggest problem I have with Kiwami is I'm just sick of Yakuza games. I didn't even finish 0. Everywhere Majima seems cool though. 1 probably isn't worth playing anymore.

Sega's problem was pumping these games out as a yearly franchise. 2 was literally the only game that improved from the previous game, all the rest just degrade in quality with each successor.

this, holy hell. Boss' health regenerates when it reaches a treshold and he gives off an aura that concides with one of your styles. This is such a bad design choice. Also Majima Everywhere sounds good on paper but it'll get annoying and it kinda demerits his presence because Majima gets stabbed during the baseball room fight so he's off recovering. But because of the Majima Everywhere System they had to make it so he gets injured again making it useless and his baseball room injury less impactful. Also the OST sucks compared to the original, the only thing Kiwami has going for it is visuals but it's pretty much just Yakuza 0 retextured, not really a very bad thing and that you can switch styles on the fly. The fact that you can only level up your dragon of dojima style with doing just majima every shit is also annoying.

kiwami feels like it was made solely for the purpose of making money for 6's development, since 90% of the assets are from yakuza 0 and very little new was done.
the only problem with this statement is that yakuza 6 is a pretty weak game too

thank fuck it isn't full retail price.

Kiwami will probably flop once reviews hit and 6 will end up getting delayed forever. Shame, really.

Yakuza 0 is a disappointment because kiryu is still an invincible perfect badass even when he was younger. Why even have a prequel if he's just the same guy with shorter hair? I wanted to see him become a badass but instead the very first thing he does is decide to fight the whole tojo clan himself.

From what I heard Yakuza 6 just sounded like an excuse to show off their new engine that's going to be used in future games.

Yakuza 0 was my first Yakuza game and I fell in love with it. I'm going to play Kiwami and play in numerical order once I'm finished and hope they bring the PS3 games up to PS4 because I'm not going to buy a PS3 just to play them.

Kenzan is never ever since PS3 unless they remaster it for PS4, and even then who knows if it would be localized. Let's see if they care about Ishin after 6 comes out since apparently they don't want to oversaturate us with Yakuza games.
