It's getting new episodes next year

but it didn't

the answer was in your pic
you seem to be blind
here you go

ah yes now I see

thank you

This show was great and serves as a fun way to get people more interested in the series as a whole. Multiple members in my family watched it after I rec'd it and they all enjoyed it

>+$0.02

thanks, but it doesn't prove your point :^)

>starts topic
>gets replies

yup, looks about right

it didn't, it got renewed for a second season.

netflix just make a small amount of episodes of shows to test the waters.

F is for family went trough a similar process and the second season is fucking awesome

the church being solely fucking evil was kinda fucking weird but it also fits the tone of the show.

Fail? It got approved for a second season before it even premiered. Provided nothing happened in between the show's release and now, that deal should still be in place.

lol wut

>the church being solely fucking evil

The Church is fucking massive, you can't paint every member of the church with the same brush. When Trevor needed some holy water, a priest delivered.

/thread

only atheist fedora redditors liked the show

I wouldn't call the church evil, just run by retarded fanatics.

people didn't like this?

I fucking loved it. too short though.

>inb4 shill whiners.

Four Episodes.

Although even the Rotten Tomatoes staff are surprised it's good, that they even ran a thing stating it's the first fresh video game adaptation

>church
>evil
Pay attention, only the Bishop was evil and most of the "priests" were just hired thugs wearing priests robes
Even the lard ass Archbishop was stated to disagree with how the Bishop did things

>stating it's the first fresh video game adaptation
Did they not see the first Mortal Kombat movie

Yoko is so perfect.

>every other word is "fuck" or "fucking"
>only one good fight
>Alucard looks awful

your autism is showing. video games are never adapted correctly. Mainly because it doesn't translate well from video game to tv.

Game of thrones is the same way. The original work doesn't always make good tv.

So which other Belmonts story do you think has good potential to be adapted

the first 3 seasons of got were good and then (((they))) started fucking with it too hard and it went to shit

the mortal kombat adaptation was pretty fucking excellent compared to this one idiot

Reminder that the priest will be Shaft

...

wait this came out? I might watch it if I'm bored I guess

Leon or Julius

...

Leon and Juste's stories are basically anime already

Bishop was the only evil one. Notice how in the fight in episode 4, Trevor found an "actual" priest to create holy water. The other priests in the town were not real priests. Also, the demon in the church scene made it pretty clear that the bishop was not a man of god.

>In castlevania games
>Castlevania (Netflix)

It really lards the tards.

...

>fail
>getting season 2

I watched it and it was utterly mediocre. How did it score this well? What the fuck?

>every other word is "fuck" or "fucking"
nitpicking and unnecessary autism on your part.

>only one good fight
maybe because its 4 episodes. are you retarded?

>Alucard looks awful

now you're just trolling.

it needs less dracula exposition, and more castlevania music.

jokes on you, it's getting more episodes. Need to wait before you jews try to sway mass audiences like this.

Clearly you don't understand. This is the patricians choice of viewing anyways, with the patricians choice of writer, Warren Ellis

Honestly I always thought LoI's plot was kind of retarded. I liked the game anyway.

>Castlevania on Netflix and it was good
>Read an article Netflix is $20 billion in debt

How are they going to survive?

I wish his hair was a bit whiter

Good production value, likable characters, and to an audience that does not watch so much anime, it is pretty fresh and unique.

Also, Dracula was pretty fucking great,

ask these guys

Richter is probably the next big one to adapt. Simon is a no brainer, but his sotry isnt much other than "simon my son, you are man now"

I doubt Leon would get adapted just because it retcons Dracula as matthias

DUDE RELIGION IS EVIL LMAO

I can tell you haven't read the books. It was altered from the get go.

Adaptations can be good. Thats my point.

he does though, he looks like the golden one

I want to drink Sypha's beer!

>this triggers Sup Forums and Sup Forums

>more castlevania music.
thisthisthisthisthisthisthisthisthisthisthis

Castlevania has like a shitton of iconic songs, they should have used at least vampire killer.

Dude you didn't watch the show.

Dracula was terrible, the writing in the first scene was just reddit quips about garlic

>every other word is fuck
>MUH RELIGION IS BAD

Sometimes I wonder if we all saw the same series? Like is there another series on Netflix that I missed? Cause what fucking series are we talking about?

it was but they really started to pick up the fuckery pace after s3

James explains it pretty well.

youtube.com/watch?v=no6x0KCOAU4

The Dracula exposition was fine, it's only the first four episodes setting up the series so they had to establish that. Definitely needed more Castlevania music, though. And less British VAs exhaustively mumbling their lines, I literally needed to turn on subtitles at one point.

the voice acting was very impressive too.

>Sup Forums is visiting Sup Forums now

aight folks, time to abandon thread

>reddit quips
Jesus Christ. Sometimes Sup Forums is worse than a youtube comment section.

You may not reply to it, but you are still falling for the same stale bait that is plagueing this thread since the series released.

all those reviewers didnt play the games

>everything is reddit

Everyone says it sucks because it lacked music from the games, but I can't remember any Castlevania music apart from the first area of SotN.

There will probably something about the corruption of church (not anti-church in general) due the Trevor's backstory.
He's broken and only gets better in the last episode

>Jesus Christ. Sometimes Sup Forums is worse than a youtube comment section.

It's mostly just salty Christfags who can't deal with any fictional depiction of their religion that isn't completely reverent in all respects.

>yellow hair
>that pleb shirt
>no cape, iirc

>nitpicking
No, the dialog is fucking terrible. It's as if a middle schooler wrote it.

Go search up "Vampire Killer" or "Bloody Tears" on youtube, you should atleast know those even if not by name.

If it makes them feel any better vlad the impaler killed alot of muslims.

track5.mixtape.moe/eupzzf.mp4

I don't think so.

or maybe they're just people who played the games and are alienated by its blatant departure from the tone of the game series with "DUDE CHURCH IS EVIL ROFLMAO! xD!"

how can you not remember vampire killer? it's pretty much the theme of the series.

youtube.com/watch?v=btgi3TPL3AE

youtube.com/watch?v=EjazC45Qkww

Except that the books are better than the show in the case of GoT.
Still salty about Stannis dying.
Still salty about Lady Stoneheart not appearing.
Still salty about the obscure lack of Gerold in that mess.
Especially salty about no Young Griff.

Fucking garbage.

except I'm a christfag and I enjoyed the series.

That does make me feel better.

Who would win?

I watched this show with my best friend who studies christian theology, and his biggest gribe with the show was that Alucard did not have white hair.

It didn't. the show was watched by a lot of people and decently well received, problem was it was 4 fucking episodes so you could literally watch it in an hour.

Nah they could adapt Simon's battle with Dracula and it lead straight into Simon's Quest.

>any
you mean "Every"

And for a movie/video game aimed at killing vampires, it doesn't make sense to have the church not be the good guys. It's downright fucking retarded when you think about it.

Ah, right, yeah I know that. I just didn't know its name.

I also vaguely remember the first stage of Rondo of Blood. Guess some things just stick with you.

gotta get that reddit fedora tipper demographic hooked

the ones that complain about Sup Forums

But the church are the good guys. The bishop is the retard who fucked everything up, the church is actively helping Trevor by the end.

Except there were priests standing should to shoulder fighting against the demons. Dracula in the story is evil. You don't just get to genocide a city because your wife died.

Except the church never played a major role in the series, plus it is canon that the church ex-communicated the Belmonts for atleast a generation.
Stop talking about shit you know nothing about, it makes you look like an idiot.

I really do wonder who is behind these posts.

How are you /always/ here to defend castlevania netflix? Same posting style for weeks as well.

Why don't they rename Trevor in the japan?

>Ralph Belmont

>the church never played a major role in the series

so you're admitting that having the church be such a prominent player in the netflix series is a departure in tone. thanks for defeating yourself imbecile.

I-Is this a meme?
Ohh my head.

How many generations between Leon and Trevor, Leon was kicked out of the church and stripped of his nobility because he abandoned the crusades to return to europe and try to save his waifu iirc

Church wasn't exactly a friend of the belmonts in the actual game Trevor is from, he was just a last resort

>People who literally don't know the source material argue as if they are speaking word of god

This is my first time participating in a thread like that, and seeing how terrible these threads are, probably my last one aswell.

>everybody who says I'm wrong is the same person
captcha: gourmet shilling

Suuure marketer-kun

why did they take his sword though? Why didn't he get another one before trying to assault a vampire's castle?

Golden One is not nearly that pretty, fuck off.
He looks more like Dio crossed with Legolas.

Alright everyone shut the fuck up and talk about the games

Why is OOE so underrated

It didn't? It's already got S2 coming.

Can we call him Castlevaniabarneyfag already?

the dialogue and pacing were awful, but nie visuals
