So was there any kind of resolution to this, from the thread last night? People were saying it was possible, through a passage in the city, to end up at Medigoron's backside. I faintly recall this as well, although when I just checked it out I couldn't find a way. But it's interesting because it seemed like several people also remember being able to go behind him and see his butt.

His room is one floor down from the top. The only other passages on that floor are two stairways that lead to the top, and another floor down. The room with all the boulders is on the top floor (some people mistakenly thought it was on the same floor as Medigoron, but it's one floor above).

Its pretty easy to see to get to the backside of Medigoron, seeing as he's just Biggoron's penis stuck into the mountain

literally never seen any biggoron ass in my life

Yeah some obscure cave entrance would end up having you behind him iirc

No, everyone was calling those people retarded.

I remember playing Ocarina of Time in a friend's house as a kid and there's was a cave there.
I never really saw it when playing it on my console though.

There definitely was one. I remember being able to bomb some walls or something and end up at his butt

what

Can someone, you know, as a joke, draw Link looking at the back of Medigoron while he's looking all embarrassed? haha, as a joke.

It wasn't really explicit or gross or anything. There was just another passage in Goron City, a little odd to the side and out of the way, and you'd end up at Medigoron's backside. And if you talked to him he'd say "come around to the front!" or something

Guys what the fuck is wrong with all of you?

You can literally just noclip behind him in an emulator to have the answer.

yeah I agree, someone please draw this please haha

I'm waiting for someone to post a video or a screenshot.

What if his butt only loads if you enter from the secret cave...

It's the mandela effect. its not there now, but it was.

sorry, I don't think it exists.

This is so stupid. OoT was my while life when it came out and I've played it thoroughly dozens of times. There was never anything like this.

fuck the mandela effect

Download Utility of Time or any other OOT map editor, and open up the map.
There is nothing behind him.

If you edit the big gorons actor into another map, he's in half since he wasn't meant to be seen from the back.

Even a gossip stone talks about him

>"They say Medigoron didn't really think about his own size, so his store is really cramped."

I'll move him and get a in-game image in a moment.

WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT, WHAAAAAAAT?

There's a room right there behind him. This means there is credence to this Mandela Effect. I can see his legs even.

There is no lereddit effect, but there was a "screenshot" someone "took" of medigoron's butt and saying to see him from the front instead. That's what people are conflating with their memories of playing the game.

Do you have that screenshot, it would be funny if you posted it haha.

No. The OP of the last thread and I are the only ones who knew about this Mandela Effect. He posted a thread with that exact picture two and half years ago. It was lost forever when the foolz archive was deleted by a thunderstorm. There's too much coincidence going on (even the fact I'm on Sup Forums again right now) for this to be fabricated. It's as if the Universe wants us to find it.

>Mandela Effect
Please die

I recall something like this too, but I don't remember if it was in the present or future.

Why would you want to do that. You would need a fart tunic or else you would die within 30 seconds

>Medigoron
>Medi-um Goron

I feel like such a dipshit

Bump

I am getting weirdly similar vibes. I mean Im not really one for the whole mandele effect either. But something is going on. When I explore Goron City now it almost feels weirdly empty as if there SHOULD be a passageway to his butt and it's not there anymore. I mean why the fuck else would they cramp him in that hole like that? It seems designed for the sole purpose of being able to approach him from behind.

At one point it seems like you could bomb a wall/rock or find some passage in Goron City that led to his back

Removing the goron, there's an invisible wall here. So there's nothing on the other hand, since you can't even go there.

Was his model reused in Majoras Mask?

Maybe you could see his backside there.

Props for actually doing the work and finding this out. I was trying to clip past Medigoron but it wouldnt let me at all. So it figures that the "cavern" isnt really there, its just an invisible wall.

Huh.
Well.
Color me stupid.
He does have a backside.
The more you know.

At least you weren't a faggot like a certain OP

Just a few more tests for those curious. Here's proof about the invisible wall.
Incoming proof there's nothing behind it coming up in a sec.

ya'lls some thirsty niggas to be up ons rock ass

I would like to remind OP and those like him that the Mandela Effect was made up by some old crackpot hag that was spouting nonsense about Mandela dying in prison and when people called out her bullshit she decided that not only was she not wrong but the entire world was.

I'd also like to say that I too have had strange memories about video games as well. In fact, when I first got my hands on a copy of OoT as a kid I remember being able to go out into a huge empty field, not Hyrule field, just a giant empty field covered in fog where a golem like creature would attack you. This must have been a fever dream because there is nothing like that in any Zelda game I've replayed or played since.

These things simply didn't happen, it's just our brains being cocks.

He was clearly meant to be seen from the back. Why else would they model his feet and that pose? Its not like the fisherman where he doesnt even have legs

For some reason I remember in FF9, Garnet cutting her hair before her mom died.

Why wouldn't there be? It's far easier to stick the whole model in there and make it bigger than to cut it or make another model.
t. Morrowind house maker

The black flash is me going through the 'black wall', meant to hide the abyss behind.
If there was anything behind it, you'd be able to see it once I passed that wall.

If any of you want me to dig for something else, feel free to say so.

You just didn't activate the trigger that loads that part of the map.

Once again, major props, its fucking cool seeing this

Shut the fuck up retard. I'm the guy who keeps saying Mandela Effect and not OP. So stop conflating OP into this just because you're an easily triggered no-life dipshit who spends his time on Sup Forums searching for some nostalgia run to stimulate the modicum of gray matter you call a brain.

Thanks for the screenshots/gifs, user.

I was always curious how the ship in the Shadow Temple worked with the map transitions.

This is the entire map, all areas loaded at once.
The red area is the area the big goron is usually in, in case it wasn't obvious already.

If there was anything more to the map, you'd be able to see it here.
If it was a seprate map alltogether, it would be on the cutting room floor along with the rest of the unused stuff, which it's not.
tcrf.net/The_Legend_of_Zelda:_Ocarina_of_Time

We having another Berenstein Bears thread?

You got to his backside outside if the city. It was right before the entrance I think. Like a bomb wall as someone had said.

>muh monopoly affect

...

DOES ANYBODY REMEMBER A MOVIE WHERE SHAQ WAS A GENIE???

>These things didn't happen

How do you know that though? I mean, I know the possibility of remembering wrong is far far more likely than an alternate universe, but maybe you did come from one. Who's to say you didn't? This isn't exactly science fiction we're talking about, multiple realities is an actual thing in science.

Some actors, or 'scripted objects', are programmed to go through a map, even as a scene/area unloads. A perfect example is actually link himself. The ship was just coded in so it wouldn't be removed when you went through a area.
I can try to trigger and record it if you'd like. Though that may be a bit awkward to see, since it'd just look like the ship going out of the map if you stayed in one area while the ship moved.

It just seems like an oddly specific position to put him in, for no reason

Shazam

>multiple realities is an actual thing in science

Scientist here. No it's not.

No.

There is definitely something weird about that fucking room with all the boulders. When you play it now it just leads to a dinky little chest with rupees and a gossip stone. Could have sworn there was more to it than that.

Huh. If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to see that please.

some of the boulders have big rupees in them

Isn't there a gold skulltula in there?

Anyone else remember seeing thr eel swim out of the ship in SM64? (Should be impossible since it normally just teleports out when you swim up and its out of view)

it swims out in another mission in the same area

it was real i owned the vhs as a kid

Not only that but this fucking room with all the lava. Get to the other side and all that's there are business scrubs. This city is just bizarre, seems unfinished and weirdly put together

Now please find where the obtainable triforce is.

Alright. Give me a little bit.

Oh my bad. I'm originally from a reality where there's no such movie and was just trying to shit post. I guess at some point I slipped into this reality where it's real. My bad.

This is just a bad argument. It's like arguing if I know god to be real or not. I don't know but I'm not going to base everything I do around something I can't prove and have nothing to really back it up, especially when I have scientific explanations for why people misremember things. Just because something could be true doesn't mean we should give it credence. also this

Could you also use clipping to get/sow the child portions of the Spirit Temple as an adult and vice versa?

deepest lore

No rush. Thanks, user!

There is such a thing as retrocognition. My dad met the Real Madrid team yesterday morning while they trained for a game in Florida and I saw it happening in a midday snooze before he told me about it today. Video games are a perfect control group for the study of such psychic phenomena.

That's okay the movie was called Shazan And Shaq's name is actually Neil O'Shaq in my reality

I always imagined some grand secret waiting back there but forgot to check it out later in the game every time I played through it. Guess I didnt miss much

You just didn't access this area while existing in the Berenstein universe

>there is such a thing as retrocognition
No there's not. Unless you believe in psychic mumbo jumbo and that doesn't really help your case.

Are you guys from reddit's version of /x/? because the way you write makes you all seem like a bunch of newfag redditors.

dont stephen hawking and neil degrasse tyson both believe in string theory, or whatever is the infinite parallel universe theory? they sound insane to me, but im not a a quantum physicist, so i cant really refute their claims or even understand what they base that on

What if his backside exists in a different map, like the mountain map or the fire temple map? That would mean that it loads from a different map and wouldn't load with the goron city map.

Actually I'm a dummy. No clue why I didn't see it faster. But it's actually just one large map.
It took me to get to the boat to realize it.

I could. There probably wouldn't be too much of a difference though. Anything in specific you'd like me to scout out?

Like I said, if it was in a unused map, it'd be on the cutting room floor.
If there's any map in specific you'd like to see though, let me know and I can load it up and post a screenshot.

Yeah now that I think about it, I think we're confusing the goron who gives you pic related.

'The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind.'

Can you take a pic of the whole Ganondorf's Castle exterior from a bird's eye view?

I specifically remember him saying you had to come around to the front.

>Actually I'm a dummy. No clue why I didn't see it faster. But it's actually just one large map.
It took me to get to the boat to realize it.

Okay, if it's one large map, then how does the boat work? Is it always the same length of time? I always thought it was tied to the Stafos battles.

>I could. There probably wouldn't be too much of a difference though. Anything in specific you'd like me to scout out?

I dunno, what would be most interesting to see? Maybe just the first rooms after the crawlspace/Silver Gauntlet Block? Also, thanks again!

...

Actually psychic user who has been backing OP here again. It's getting late so I'm gonna call it a night. See you guys in the Red Room.

The ship is a stationary model when you first land on it and there's a cutscene transition to the long "river" area. The river is probably one continuous area hidden by deep fog and the ship falls into the abyss afterwards with no way to go back unless you teleport back (Which would reset the ships position)

I'm probably wrong but that's how I think it works.

Sleep well, Agent Cooper.

Oh thanks! That's very clever by Nintendo to mock it up like that I would have never guess his castle is just a series of walls.

>Okay, if it's one large map, then how does the boat work? Is it always the same length of time? I always thought it was tied to the Stafos battles.
Seems like it's just static.
Here's proof, with the ship at the end, about the fall, with the Stafos still alive.

I have never heard of a way

this is a good thread

you just reminded me of this

No we are definitely talking about the OoT goron.

I alter my opinion all the time when evidence to the contrary is put forth. Hitchens's Razor: That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.

Death mountain crater or fire temple

Vgmaps already has a lot of maps of most of the areas but I'd LOVE to see the desert wasteland because the one they have there is really shitty.

>implying the lore of Ocarina of Time ever ends

I bet most of you never listened to Bongo Bongo's voice sped up...
