Im a soulcalibur die-hard but the game is rip
Now im looking for a new game for the ps4 cant decide if i go with bb or gg

They are the same.
Go with the one with the cuter girls.

>Go with the one with the cuter girls.

But both have thicc girls

I think bb is super neat-o and you'll probably like it

I gone give it a try thanks

GG has better characters, BB has more moe characters.

I prefer GG.

How are the mechanics of both games i guess i cant air control them right ?

BB is 2000's anime.
GG is 90's anime.

BB is J-pop
GG is American Metal

I'd say GG is the most solid option as it is the biggest focus of the company. It's the game that'll live on for longer should anything bad happen, it's the game that'll get the most spin-offs, it's their most popular franchise and has had a longer following for obvious reasons.
BB is in an awkward phase right now. After the CrossTag game no one knows about what's next, it's probably getting a GG Xrd-style redo (a shift to 3D) with its next entry, but that's still years away I'm sure. If you got into BB right now you'd be playing the end of an era.

Anyway just play what you prefer. Just keep in mind that GG is the company's main baby and BB is secondary (which is important if you care about playerbase size)

Sounds good i gone watch some "gameplay" but GG has some nice plot and backstory
Sucks there wont come a new SC

>GG is the company's main baby and BB is secondary
This isn't even true, BB started outdoing GG ages ago. Most of their events focus exclusively on it and GG has pretty much been relegated to side attraction.

those games can be fun, but the character design is the worst that exists

BB is more of a setplay and punish game
You are expected to learn your bnb's, combos and air combos, then look for an opening and use them without dropping them so you don't leave yourself open for your opponent to do the same
Learning how to block and when to block is crucial

GG is less focused on long combos setplay and is more into controlling your opponent so he won't go unga on you
Its currently slower than bb
Blocking helps, but the game really wants you to keep pressuring your oponent and on his ass all the time

Dont know what you mean

GG is definitely more about setplay than BB. BB has tremendously strong pressure and you can convert into full blockstrings even off stray hits, but when it comes to actual setplay, it's much more character-based than system based. GG on the other hand has pretty much everyone centered around it. Neutral is less risky, but setplay is moreso.

Only on the west GG is more important than BB, Blazblue became a fucking esport in japan, guilty gear didn't

Don't give up user. Maybe someday they'll revive Soul Calibur.

>look for an opening and use them without dropping them so you don't leave yourself open for your opponent to do the same

Thats what i loved about soulcalibur

I hope even a remake of 3 or 2 would be nice

Then explain how high level BB is find a opening > setplay into the corner and meat grind
While high level GG has both players constantly in the middle of the stage reacting to one another and seldon goes into a corner meat grinder, unless its a ram match

GG has heavy setplay both midscreen and in corner, BB is mainly about evasion and midscreen pressure rather than knockdown into pressure. It's the reason why the game is known as THE setplay game. Hell, BB makes it significantly easier to blow up with stuff like OD that's an overwhelmingly strong defensive option compared to anything GG has.

BB receives just as much spinoffs as GG despite being younger (9 years vs 19 years)

Each series has its own director with different goals in general. GG's Daisuke wants to focus a lot on Xrd right now, while BB's wants to let the series rest for a while after ending a big arc

Its nice to see you all talking so much about fightinggames
