Alright I'll bite. The problem is that Phill Spencer is nothing but a tool. MS has already decided to take this calculated risk: "We will sell the xbox as a third party windows machine. If people are stupid enough to keep buying our Gold subscriptions (free money) we are good, if not we are not interested in risky AAA gaming anyway". This is literally MS right now, they want all the (anti consumer) advantages of a closed platform like that of a console and all the advantages of gaming as a service you usually see on PCs.
