No, you misunderstand me. I bought bloodborne about a year after it came out and a ps4 four years after it came out because until bloodborne i saw no real reason to until at least 2018. Waiting 1 year compared to 12 isn't really the same thing. Also considering the price difference and adding on how many more years it'll take for the thing to be even really playable.

you need a $300 CPU just to play Demon Souls on RPCS3 without lag. that's just the CPU alone. add in GPU, RAM, Motherboard, Power Supply, Case, etc. At that point you're buying a PS4 Pro.

I don't think emulation is solely just so someone can play a game 10+ years on. I mean, most people just emulate PS2 games now because 1080p with smoother framerates is preferable to 480p.
