Games for emulation? I dunno, I've been playing Tiny Toon adventures on NES. It's fun.
Shame about all the extra overscan, though.
Games that you want to play? That's incredibly vague, OP.
>Inb4
Play the unlockable version in pic related. It's got a redone script.
arcade:
berzerk
donkey kong ( original )
star wars ( the vector one )
space harrier
nes:
monsters in my pocket
fire and ice
solomon's key
drac's night out ( was never released but is a lot of fun, you play as dracula and pump up your reeboks to move faster )
Try pic related on the Famicom.
Probably fucks with the art or other aspects of the game, though.
Depends on the genre.
>demons souls
If you want to play prototype souls, but with actually lore that doesn't require outside sources to fully grasp, the combat pretty much on par with ds1
>3D dot game heroes
Almost forgotten gem, 16-bit Zelda clone with cool graphics and goat soundtrack
>infamous series
Pretty damn fun super hero game, with heart pumping missions, actually would love to replay with kb/m mod
>killzone 2
Was neglected at the time because halo was king and cod was on the rise, but in actually it one of the most enjoyable shooters of its generation, still gitty at the recoils of the guns, felt freaking amazing, another game to add to replay list with kb/m
>bunch of fightans
Alot if fightans didn't get pc port back then, like tekken 6, virtua fighter 5 final showdown and soul calibur 4 and 5, not to mention a bunch if psn store games of old classics like sf2 hd and marvel 2 but these are easily emulated elsewhere as well
...
It doesn't. It just get rid of all that "what is a man" bullshit that sounds like it was recorded in a public bathroom.
Oh good someone made a thread
I have an old fleeting Asus android tablet that has a keyboard dock
Androids newer versions slow it down considerably so web browsing is a 1 tab deal lest it shit itself.
Yet DS emulation works very well for games like Phoenix wright
My question; is there an effective way to turn it into a plug and play emulation machine with easy controller support? (2 genesis 6 button pads and a Mayflash adapter.)
If its a wasted effort; does anyone have some good ideas of an easy retro gaming emulation machine I can plug into my TV and use on the regular with company rather than have to reconnect all of my old consoles and fish for cables every 20 minuets?
because I play just about everything
I don't even watch football and am European, but play fucking NFL sometimes
but the cheesy script was one of my favorite parts of sotn. alucard, dracula, and richter had better vas too
There is those Compute sticks which should be able up to ps1 from what I've heard. They just sit in your TV's HDMI port. But i don't think wired controllers would work too well.
>Compute sticks which should be able up to ps1
Did you just have a fucking stroke?
and I wanted to know which games run well for emulators, since I'm not that knowledgeable about them.
I was born in the 90's in Eastern Europe so I've missed a fuck load of great gems
pic related is my first """"gaming"""" experience
By "cheesy" you mean inaccurate and with horrible room echo?
no, i mean the voice direction was hammy and i found it amusing
Violent Storm is an incredibly underrated beat em up.
Those sound like the kind of shit I'm looking for, but I'm fucking sick of having to pissfuck about with trying to get random controllers hooked up by bluetooth only to have xpadder and joytokey not play nice with me.
It shouldn't be this difficult, knowing my messy computer habits Im sure its some current or previous retardation on my part that is making this hard for me.
As of yesterday i've been able to successfully play 2 player local skullgirls straight out of the box when I got my mayflash adapter for my genesis controllers.
>xmb gui on an emulator
this is terrible on so many levels
The music and sound effects in this game were severly downgraded for the PSP. It sounds terrible.
How is God Hand emulated?
Is it playable? Or does it have struttering and frame issues all over the place?
>2 in 1
Thank God I had the 1000 in 1. Your childhood must have been terrible.
Last time I checked God Hand is perfect on PCSX2.
>1000 in 1
can't tell if you're ironic or not but those were just marketing terms
the "1000" games were just inverted versions of the few base games.
Kingdom Hearts: The original PS2 release
Looks amazing in HD, and it's the best version of the best game in the series, as well as the last squaresoft game. The sequels and remixes are questionable, but original kingdom hearts is a masterpiece
FF7: PS1
The only version of FF7 that isn't shit. Even after the steam release fixed the music, it still has sephiroth's stupid wide open mouth, and other problems. This remains the way to play FF7.
Vagrant Story: PS1
A near-perfect and highly unique JRPG that looks amazing in HD. Not for casuals.
There are some JRPGs that are basically emulation-only
does anyone know why Castlevania for GBA won't show up on its own, under the GBA emulator icon like these NES games do?
yes you are autistic m8
>The sequels and remixes are questionable, but original kingdom hearts is a masterpiece
Boy if that's the best I don't want to see the worst.
>and it's the best version
Better than the HD collection? I thought the PS2 version was 30fps
KH1 is literally a 10/10 game, the first release anyway
I'm sorry you're too much of a child to realize that.
The HD collections increase the grind added with the final mix versions, the cringey additions to meld it with tetsuya's stupid PC characters, and added montages and story fuckery to make things more obvious to kids
Every other release literally adds a sepia-filtered montage of scenes to the ending to make it more "emotional", it's utterly disgusting
what?
what in my post indicated that I dislike Kingdom Hearts? are you insane?
just tell me how to make my gems appear on the right side like the NES games do :C
>endlessly respawning enemies
>the horrible attempts at platforming
>gummi ship sections
>the plot
Yeah nah, the only thing that's remotely salvageable are boss fights.
I sadly have to agree. Beside the combat system is a bit too simple.
If you are having problems with Mednafen not accepting your games .cue sheets just get the games from here
