PUBG HONKKKKK

>One of the new features in the imminent update to PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is that cars will now have horns. The patch, due today, has been available to try on PUBG's public test servers where it has already become somewhat of an irritation to certain streamers, because some stream-snipers have become, well, stream-honkers.

How long before horns are removed to cater to streamers?

How long before people forget about this shitty meme game?

>drive around streamer in car, honking constantly
>get banned

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW
But seriously though, that would be fucking stupid

>Honk my horn
>Was in the area of a streamer
>Get banned for ruining their stream

...

I don't get it

what is there not to get

How long before you stop crying over things that are popular. I haven't even played this shit but you people are pathetic.

>Streamers are now a protected class that devs have to cater to

I just don't get it

honk you say

How about you don't play this shitty game to begin with? I sure as fuck didn't fall for the memes.

>mfw

This is funny as fuck.
I wonder what the devs will do.

Be like and post YFW you didn't fall for the PUBG meme.

who /2ndclasscitizen/ here?

old Sup Forums would have already formed honking parties and stream snipe threads

>Move within 5 feet of a streamer without their permission
>Get banned

It's only natural.

>streamer has 15k+ viewers
>those viewers are potential buyers of the game

If they piss off the streamer, the streamer might bash the game which could result in lost sales.

>HONK IF YOU WANT TO GET BANNED

>implying any of us are retarded enough to buy an early access game

Those 15k people probably already bought it though.

...

ban them, of course
can't be having fun in this super serious video game, oh no

This is a No Honking Zone!

that would involve buying this shit.

>buying the game

>Defending and posting in a thread about a game he's never played
>Calls others pathetic
Kill yourself

I don't get why this is a big deal for streamers for this game and not something like GTA Online

>buying an in-dev online only game
>Sup Forums any year

ha, there's a reason 75% of FOTM games are free browser shit
fuck, minecraft started as a browser game

>no honking

SHITCURITY

I don't get why this is a problem, if the player is just honking at you is this not just an easy kill?

>Paying $40 for a early access game with microtranactions to be annoy nobodies

Streamers in PUBG are the video game equivalent of those kids who say they "Own this town." and constantly try to get their 20-some year old older brother to beat up 12 year olds.

>honk
>honkhonkhonk
Horn has run out of durability.

>Giving a shit about yet another generic multiplayer fps

At least I'm not one of the guys who can't stand to see people have fun.

Fucking CHEN!

You can't blame them. They're just exploiting the dumb masses. Twitch streamers as well. I'ts their audience that needs to be gased.

you just did the work for the devs congrats

>your horn has broken down pay 2.99 to fix

Nice transparency, faggot.

If they're already bought it why would they watch streamers instead of playing?

I guess people have been itching for an upgraded Battle Royale game on PC. There have been streamers who have played stuff like H1Z1 and the Culling and felt like it was unpolished in terms of gunplay, or latency, or whatever, and they come upon this game and it's better.

GTA Online isn't Battle Royale, it's just some free mode game with heists and races.

Hilarious. Fuck streamers and fuck YouTube fags. Fuck every cuck that's ever watched that shit.

You can have fun tossing a frozen turd around until it melts and you get shit on your hands. A million people could have fun throwing literal shit around. It doesn't mean its good and it doesn't mean you have to like it automatically.

not him, but my brother watches shit youtubers like The Diamond Minecart even though we have minecraft

They're playing and watching at the same time. It's like how kids play Minecraft but also watch people play Minecraft.

This place will hate on everything popular except when it's from Japan.

>Playerunknown is a glorified ideas guy
>his idea turns out very successful
>now goes around handing out bans and coddling streamers like they're they're some protected class of player

>implying your main source of advertising shouldn't be protected

Idk what the guy is about, maybe he takes ideas for builds could be?

I watch streams when I'm at work desu

I hate leftists for disregarding principles

It's because they had no father figure to instil in them the importance of unspoken rules

Most people watch for the streamer not the game.

>Playerunknown is a glorified ideas guy

I mean he's a retarded reactionary, but he did make 3 mods himself. Wouldn't call him an "ideas guy".

What a horrible timeline

WHY DO PEOPLE WATCH OTHER PEOPLE PLAY VIDEOGAMES
HOW DID THIS HAPPEN

>lost sales

Did someone say...

he just plays the game and talks like "I canNOT believe this"

its perfectly reasonable to cry over things that are objectively shit

I mean, if the guy is in it for the money, wouldn't you want every single possible person to buy your game?

how about this
>streamers become so coddled and become the majority of players
>non streamers and legit players get fed up not wanting to be banned for breathing near a streamer
>game dies because nobody wants to buy it

capitalism works both ways..thats the beauty of it.

Not really, see:
CobaltStreak when he doesn't play BoI
Kripp when he plays not Hearthstone
Grimmmz pre-PUBG

Lirik and Summit are exceptions.

The funny thing is that this update fucked all of their servers and the game is practically unplayable right now.

>stream honkers
this shit's just straight up ridiculous at this point

Who /honkey/ here

you never had a friend that was really good at a game? you guys didnt hang out in your living room while he did a speedrun of shadows of the empire or some shit and you cheered him on? have you ever had fun?

What if you stream snipe a streamer but be all friendly and shit?

>it's just some free mode game with heists and races
nigga you missin 90% of the content that is a hundret times more fun than just races and heists

welcome to the future of video games. where streamers get first access to everything because they're seen as major advertising targets.

For the same reason normies watch sports on TV instead of playing it themselves. Sometimes you just want to watch shit and be entertained.

They still bitch and get you banned. The "honkers" are literally just giving them free kills and they're upset about it.

>add a feature so you can ban people for using it
This is what they've been doing

Cheating the insurance so when you blow up other players cars they pay for them?

How about streamers get real fucking jobs and quit profiting off the work of others?

I always knew NC were a bunch of neanderthals

t. never gets his horn tooted

if we stuck to our principles none of this would happen

streaming is a real job. they're making livable wages and building connections with other people.

>says there is more content besides that
>doesn't list them

Okay?

youtube.com/watch?v=rnbH1rzSSTc

it's fucking wonderful

we'd have to buy the game first though, fuck that. I'm not going to spend $30 to get banned from my first match

>so guys, don't honk at the streamers or you will get banned
>fast forward a few weeks
>people get banned for it
>negative reviews roll in
>population drops
>someone manages to create a free server for the game
>DayZ situation on repeat
Comfy to think about it, actually.

Oh boy, you're out of touch aren't you?

Lots of people play one game while having a twitch streamer play the same game on their 2nd monitor for background noise.

Not defending the practice, just saying that it's becoming common.

>Add a feature that serves literally no purpose at all
>Ban people when they use it

Are the developers purposely trying to kill their own game?

>They're in firefights and they can't hear the footsteps because of the horns

This is hilarious

Sup Forums doesn't play vidya anymore bro. But you can join our honking party. We were already doing waldo teams ( 4 red striped shirts, try to find as many cars as possible, run other teams over like a fucking buffalo herd)

Nah. I'm not a fucking cuck
If I went to a kid's house to play video games then I'd go the fuck home if it turned out to be sitting there doing nothing while he plays

Horns done right

>Are the developers purposely trying to kill their own game?

no, he's just vain and stupid

i had a friend who did that to me
>have friend over for the weekend
>really late cant come up with anything to do beyond going out in the pitchdark and egging cars to go by
>already played most of my console games
>says hes getting sleepy
>decide to play some WoW
>30 minutes later he comes in and sits behind me
>get self conscious because i dont want him to think im a nerd
i was just hid it
>hey man want me to make you a character so you an play?
>no, i like watching

I think two things have happened with pubg: 1: it blew up way faster than they expected, and their servers can't handle it, 2: pubg streaming has become incredibly popular and they know that, and don't know how much to cater to streamers vs regular players

Do you like my game user? tee-hee

People who play PUBG are under the age of 20 and/or terminally casual. No disputing it, no negotiation on this distinction. They're also hardcore shills.

Reminder that they broke 500k concurrent players today.

why does PUB have such shit ui? even video game school students can do better

Fuck off. You should be shot.

until the next one come out, then they will jump to it because these games offer no long term reason to stay

Jesus fucking christ the attitude of these streamers, they deserve all the shit they get not including the money, of course

same dude, a lot of my friends like to watch me play games when they come over. I always ask them if they'd prefer to play and they say no, it's fun watching. so I totally understand the twitch "craze." and let's be honest, sometimes you just don't feel like playing, but you love the game enough that you still want to be involved somehow
