Why is there no video game that portrays a good relationship between a father and a daughter?

This tread is going to be ruff

I'm more interested in games that portray a good relationship between a girl and her dog

lolz0rs

Nier

...

2003>Brotherhood

You're a real bitch, user.

So I never understood this part, what happened to his daughter and the dog? They just disappeared after he made the chimera

Did Hughes take them in or what?

...

I actually dropped the show after seeing this. I asked my sister if it got worse and when she said yes I didn't go back.
Who could be behind this post?

Tucker fused his dog and his daughter

I never watched this show but ive heard this was devastating. Ik the gyst of what happened but why was this so bad

I just love how the mangaka took the two things in this world that most people will agree are innocents and must be protected and did that shit to them.

Yes, that is exactly what happened. ;_;

Do people really find this shit appalling?

Maybe if you watch it you'll understand.

didnt he sacrifice them for trying to create a philospher stone or something

Literally bioshock saga

it was so he didn't have 0 work to show for the last year so he could keep his job

Protagonists stay with a man certified by the state as an alchemist. His license and funding has dried up because of lack of results though, so he needs to deliver a chimera to the government as promise. In an act of desperation, he fuses his daughter and her dog, who the protagonists form a sort of sibling bond with. Main characters confront him and one of them beats the shit out of the man in a fit of rage, before stopping to kill the chimera after it asks him to play.

He did it so his State alchemist license wouldn't be revoked

>big brother it hurts

The entire episode/chapters leading up to this involve Ed and Al living with Tucker and his daughter and developing a healthy familial relationship with them; meanwhile Tucker is panicking on how to keep his job, and then fuses his dog with his daughter to recreate a similar chimera to the one he did previously, which in turn is revealed to have been made from his wife who as a chimera only asked to be killed.

He pretty much completely brushes it off as scientific progress also when confronted.

His daughter as a chimera watches as Ed beats the shit out of Tucker, and then begs him to stop hitting "daddy" and asks if why they can't just play like they used to

Yakuza.

Fuck off faggot, 2003 ending was super mega shit.

Both endings sucked ass; Brotherhood could have easily been half as long

This is the 3rd FMA thread I've seen.

Anyway, best OP/ED combo coming through.

Man, you know your anime has a god-like opening when it feels so good to hear it in at the end

Jesus FUCK, Take me back

Because no one in the industry has any idea what a good relationship with their father is?

THIS
>and the source of the fuel for our alchemy is.... ww2 victims?
Also Conqueror of Shamballa was the least logical progression of a story I have ever witnessed.

...

it never actually gets worse

Just watch it already.

are you saying most people in the vidya industry had terrible fathers?

Marlene and Barret?

ACTUAL best opening coming through

Bioshock 2

>2003 - dark and mature show with realistic characters aimed to be interesting for both adults and teenagers
>Brotherhood - generic animu with edgelord for MC blunt and cliche characters aimed at braindead weebs

>Bradley coming back to town after the failed assassination and fucking shit up the whole way
I miss the first time hype.

>and mature
hello sonyqqer

Brotherhood best OP: Again
Brotherhood best ED: Shunkan Sentimental

2003 best OP: Rewrite
2003 best ED: ???

best ED in a modern anime is still It's Gonna Rain from Kenshin

>NAZIS AND SHIEET
Plus brotherhood is literally the same shit but with more content and a better resolution.

>Edward
>edgy
are you fucking kidding me

I irrationally love RK, but Nichijou has it beat.
youtube.com/watch?v=uIscu-nPvBs

Don't talk to me or my son ever again

Brother hood had better humor, WAAAAY better pacing, and stronger characters than 2003.

>op 5 is "rain"
>ed 5 is "ray of light"

Silent Hill 1

>tfw rewrite

yo can we like burn Ishbal/Ishval to the ground and like, create refugees and a guy with a scar on his head
that'll work out so well

best 2003 ed

dat winrey

>Playstation - mostly popular among Europeans with good taste in vidya and people who appreciate high quality exclusive titles.
>Xbox - mostly popular among muricans and AYY NBA HALO MASTER CHIEF COD I FUCKED UR MOM LMAO XDXD

I think I like 2003 more overall (didn't care for all of the filler and basically everything about the Eastern continent/nu-greed in Brotherhood) but hot fucking DAMN did Brotherhood have the most hype moments.

Seriously, does ANYTHING in 2003 even come close to this bit? youtube.com/watch?v=u6Tgl4f8Rxc

...

someone in a previous thread reminded me how great the elevator shot at the start is

i also really liked the shot of homenheim with the grass moving in the foreground

anyway the only time a vidya has given me that elevator feeling is dark souls.

>Was born a slave
>Becomes BAMF at alchemy
>Becomes an unknowing stooge in a fucked up experiment that leaves him immortal but the host of 500 thousand souls driving him mad
>Learns each and every one of their names
>Sets out to wright the world, travels east and teaches the people of the GOAT version of alchemy
>Falls in love with a QT, who dies
>Cant raise his children because he needs to literally save the world
>Saves the world with a super advanced form of alchemy that not even Father knew about, required hundreds of years of prep
>blocks fathers energy blast with his body to save Edd
>Wants to sacrifice himself to get Alphonse back
>Dies with a smile on his face, still wanting to live despite how much shit he's gone through

Is there ANYONE in anime more GOAT?

it was part of fathers plan

>ABLOO BLOO GIRL GETS TURNED INTO DOG
Stale memes, its not like all of her non vital organs got removed while the rest of her body gets pumped with drugs and stuffed into a curse-warding cartridge.

It looks like it's beginning to rain

What? Sir that's not-

>Wants to sacrifice himself to get Alphonse back
That would have been a better way to go.

LISA

fuck
time to rewatch, I guess

>they killed it

Are you Fucking kidding me?

...

Hughes death was way better in 2003. Personally I consider that the emotional high point of the series.

its pretty much the only thing 03 did better

i'm 100% sure the chimera is killed by scar. the chimera runs off and then scar finds it and pities it and puts it out of its misery. fuck i'm feeling kinda empty just remembering it.

I watched Brotherhood two months ago and loved every minute of it.
Is 2003 worth it? I heard they butchered it like Soul Eater because they caught up to the manga way too fast and it turned into a completely different show.

If it doesn't have evil shota Homonculus I don't want even want it.

Yeah this.
It's been over a decade since I watched it after all.

>Update
Someone pointed out that they literally turn him into a nazi in the Conqueror of Shamballa, is this true?

>If it doesn't have evil shota Homonculus
it does, but hes less prominent and in general also lacks a lot of hype and story from BH.

I maintain that Edward meeting Al at the gate and then busting through after it closes on him as the ending theme starts playing from Brotherhood was more emotional.

Hughes/Roy dynamic was probably the best one in the series though and 2003 illustrated it much better. Roy taking down Envy is fucking fantastic in Brotherhood mind.

well he's a nazi in the 'real' world

youtube.com/watch?v=i07pCK_ZkRE

should have watched the 2003 first to appreciate what brotherhood did for the fans but yea I see no harm is watching it, go for it.

Shamballa was an awesome movie because it ends with Hughes shooting Hitler in the head.

You know how people always talk about their favorite superhero superpowers or whatever, or the best shounen abilities? I think putting on a glove, clicking your fingers and burning the everliving shit out of your enemies if the single best power

So hows the JP VA?
I know its pretty much unanimous that the dub is better but im curious.

>That voice acting

STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP

always thought scar's ability was much cooler. especially when he rekt ed's arm

Why didn't they just use alchemy to unfuse the chimera?

Watched 5 episode of it years ago and it bored me. I'll give it a try though, but I doubt it'll beat Brotherhood in terms of amazing moments.
youtube.com/watch?v=5rzCRucQzeY

Took me 72 clicks to get this

Fused them together to well, separating them would have ended in death anyway

One of the best dubs of all time, ruined by a thirty something playing a six year old.

because alchemy on living things is tedious.

First try.

2003 > BH before it diverges from the manga. it gets the tone and does the big emotional/spoiler moments and character development better, but since you've already seen them it might not matter. also the cinematography/direction is a LOT better in 2003 than BH. that said it's got a lot of throwaway episodes, and as already mentioned it goes off-the-rails retarded towards the end.

and there is an evil shota homunculus, but he's a completely different character.

Been years since I saw it, wasn't that just an alternate universe or some shit. Like pretty much a Mirror Mirror universe.

After all King Bradley is just some innocent Jewish guy in Shamballah.

Mustache obligatory for fuhrer confirmed

Scar kills her before they are able to get their hands on a Philosopher's Stone.

I hope it fucking hurt when she tried to say "WET'S PWAY BIG BWUDDUR" because I hate adults portraying little kids.

Human alchemy is not so easy, it's kind of a theme of the show. It's easy to make a fucked up abomination like a chimera, not so easy to make it back into a normal human and doggo.

Protip: pick a power that is only reliable a desert and fight me with literally any other alchemic power, even the shitty ones where I have to get out my graph paper and do like 2 hours of prep time to set it up because apparently most alchemists are idiots who don't think of just stitching their circles onto clothing or into a fucking book or anything is my power run on sentences fuck that'd still beat this guy on a rainy day.
