Now that the dust has settled, how is it?
More importantly, can it be used as a pc controller?

It's pretty great except for the dpad that is mediocre. If I remember correctly it does work with computer, except you have to do so through Bluetooth.
Thanks doc.
thinking of getting one to but the price is way too expensive. im hoping it will go on sale during the holidays but nintendoshit never does.
thanks doc.
Not only is the dpad less than mediocre, the sticks have a really small dead zone and horrible snap back.
>green on the left and pink on the right
>not the other way around
i am fucking triggered
Mediocre doesn't cut it. It's worse than the Steam Controller and that doesn't have a fucking DPAD.
Literally 360 tier
It isn't 360 tier
That's some fuckin hyperbole
Do you remember the 360 dpad? it's beyond unusable. the switch dpad is just bad.
>more likely to trigger diagonally than the actual button you're hitting
>Hyperbole
Consider suicide
Chill out and try discussing it like somebody who doesn't spend their entire nights on Sup Forums.
I agree with that user that it's not THAT bad.
Why oh why would you want that as a PC controller?
It's more expensive than any other, it doesn't have analog triggers (which restricts which games you can play), and finally the D-pad is shit and has input errors.
Just go for DS4 (which has a good D-pad, and still has a gyro if you ever wanted Switch's Pro controller for that specific thing .. somehow) or 360/Xbone's controller if that's your preference. All of those are cheaper and have more functionality.
No analog triggers
No headphone jack
no analog triggers isnt that big of a deal. the wii u pro controller didnt have it and i dont think any games were held back by it. no headphone jack is inexcusable tho
You're massive retard, let me tell you that.
Of course WiiU games weren't "held back" by the lack of analog triggers because devs designed the games to not use analog triggers. WOAH! The revelation!
He's asking for a controller on PC, where he can play games that use triggers, like literally any racing game ever, or an online game with vehicles like Battlefield/Battlefront, or an open world game like GTA, etc
Why take the risk anyway? Switch's controller costs MORE and offers less. Just why. Give one ONE reason to chose it over the DS4 or Xbone controller.
oh true, i didnt notice op was asking if it was a viable pc controller. my bad.
This is only if you're a retard that wiggles his dpad. Yes when you wiggle the dpad WHILE holding down a direction it can pick up other inputs. But if you just press the desired direction then it doesn't happen.
>$70
>USB C
no thanks
Switch Pro controller is already a terrible controller for Switch owners, even more so when there are other options available.
No one (but massive nintendo fanboys) would willingly chose Pro controller over any other, much less when they have to pay extra for it.
Callie
It's not that bad once you get used to it and it's certainly better than the 360 controller
It's a decent controller, but mayflash just released an adapter that allows Wii U Pro controllers to work on the switch, among other blue tooth and USB controllers.
>It's a decent controller
I don't see how. Relative to any other current one it's objectively shit. What are you comparing it to in order to categorize it as "decent" ?
-It's more expensive
-It lacks functions
-has a major problem
It's better than the DS4 with it's shitty ass non-removable battery life and gay as fuck lightbar
>Switch Pro controller is already a terrible controller for Switch owners, even more so when there are other options available.
like?
>"n-no, stop pointing out flaws in Nintendo products, look at what SONY and MICROSOFT are doing wrong!"
>"It's ok when Nintendo does it!"
>even more so when there are other options available.
>like?
You just... quoted my answer to that question.
Any other option.
Changing batteries has never been an issue with controllers. It's not something anyone does unless they are forced to (like replacing AA batteries on a wireless 360 controller). Also Switch's Pro controller doesn't _really_ have a removable battery in the way you're implying. You need to unscrew the controller all over the place and remove 3 different plastic covers, and the battery is proprietary and not sold seperately.
So in practicality you won't change it ever. Not that anyone needs to because like I said, it's a non-issue.
>and gay as fuck lightbar
So petty. Pretty impressive how you're willing to take Nintendo's cock up your ass and get a broken D-pad, no analog triggers and no audio jack over having a light you can dim or completely turn off (on PC, which is what OP is asking)
Suck that Ninti cock some more. slurp slurp
>dpad that is mediocre
Nintendo has the best d-pad patent in the business, how do they fuck that up?
Or it could just be built better so it doesn't matter what you do. My fucking 20 year old SNES controller doesn't have that problem.
>Nintendo has the best d-pad patent in the business
No they don't. Have you been living under a rock? Nintendo Dpads have been mediocre after the SNES, especially on homeconsole where they are way too small. DSi perhaps has the best one of the lot, but it's still not good.
Wait a minute, those colors...
EMUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
That patent has been expired, and its not like nintendo put it to good use when it was theirs alone. N64, GC, Wii, Wii U d-pads were all garbage.
Then what is a better d-pad?
Currently? Sony no doubt. Vita has the best followed by Dualshock controllers.
Of all time, Sega Saturn's
Vita's d-pad is best one since the saturn controller.
thanks Oc
What makes the Saturn one so good? I've never used a Saturn.
It's better than a DS4 is all I'm saying
yeah its a hassle when your controller dies in a few hours, D'oh. DS4 is a fucking joke
>I'm gonna make a stupid argument and get butthurt when I'm called out on it
whatever dude
Just look at it.
joycon analog stick T B H
Snes controller also has a way bigger dpad.
>vita
>sony
That broken up dpad is for autists who can't handle input control.
Nigger, please explain why thay dpad shape is so great.
>Snes controller also has a way bigger dpad.
than the pro controller?
...
its fucking pink not purple
It's a good controller. I haven't had issues with the dpad which is probably just good luck. Buttons feel great, shoulder buttons are fantastic, triggers are good but lack functionality. Sticks are about what you'd expect and battery life is superb. Too bad the price is jacked up by useless features.
Delicious brown looks like she's trying to suppress a horrible traumatic memory.
Well now that le ebin le dust has le settled you can shove it up your big fat ass nintenbro
Human eyes can't actually comprehend pink
It can be used as a PC controller but you're retarded if you buy one for PC when wired xbox 360 controllers are like 20 dollars brand new vs 80 bucks for this thing.
If you want a controller with a good d-pad that also has analog sticks and can also be used on Switch wait for that snes pro controller from 8bitdo
That tells me nothing about how it feels.
