Tenchu 1 was god tier.
Tenchu 2 was dogshit, awful level design, awful characters and they simply tried to push the PS1 too far from a technical standpoint and the whole thing fell apart.
Tenchu: Warath of Heaven was ok, not as open as it should have been, had a bad habit of funneling the player through linear areas, controls and camera were still antiquated as fuck.
Tenchu: Fatal Shadows was just the devs recycling the worst aspects of Wrath of Heaven with new fanservice characters.
Tenchu: Time of the Assassins, fuck awful handheld version of yet another recycled mess of a game using the Wrath of Heaven engine.
Tenchu Z, utterly fucking soulless in the story and character department, but mechanically probably the best Tenchu there's ever been, lots of customization, great co-op, metric fuck ton of mediocre levels.
Tenchu: Shadow Assassins, LINEAR DOGSHIT, WAGGLAN, WHY DID IT HAVE TO END LIKE THIS.

The small corridors make it harded, the lessened mobility makes it harder. No mor flying across rooftops superheroing it up.
You need concealment and tactical strategy this time. This is probably why people dont like it though. Just too hard. Most satisfying stealth kills though. That one where you hide underneath a floormat and attack the armored samurai..

I personally couldn't see the similarity's to warret a purchase, one of the only games I've refunded on Steam. The games levels are boring and the enime npcs are retarded as fuck, the main character is boring as is the story, plus there's no god tier soundtrack. Just wasn't for me.
