ITT: games that quietly died soon after release

I'm still having fun with it.

Almost any multiplayer game released in the past 2 years

"""""""""""""""""""""Died"""""""""""'"""""""

uh oh!

Sad, I was interested in the concept but fuck spending 40 britbongbucks on an unproven concept.

>steam

Steam doesn't represent the number of people who cut out the middle man and bought it on uplay. And it also doesn't represent console players.

>using a minority of the players as a representation
>not playing the game for firsthand experience
>ignoring the 1.4 figure from Ubi
Good one

>ITT: buttmad ubishills

>garbage comment debunked
>sh-shill!
Pathetic

They're working on dedicated servers fucking finally. I might give it a try again after months of putting it down.

This thread has me confused, what's the actual playerbase size then?

I have it on uplay, and tried to play 2 months ago. Queue times were horrible and took several minutes even for popular game modes, or even duels which should be almost instant.

Also the matchmaking was horrible and pit highly skilled players with new players constantly

1.4 M play but bad matchmaking and no servers make wait times longer. I never have a problem with duels for ps4 though

>I never have a problem with duels for ps4 though
That explains it. It's another game that dies on PC but hangs on by the skin of its teeth on consoles.

1.4 million? No fucking way, that has to be total people that bought the game, not current players

for honor thread? who's hype for season 3?

I want to see how Gladiator is different from valkyrie

...

The gladiator looks pretty cool but I don't know about jumping back in. I'm gonna give the dedicated servers a try but if queue times are still a bitch then fuck it.

It died on steam. Nowhere else

Eh. The Gladiator doesn't quite strike me as much as the Centurion did. The Highlander does look pretty neat, but I don't know why he's classified as a hybrid when he clearly looks like a heavy character.

Probably just the nobushi range he seems to have

>gotta grind for the in game currency
>gotta buy characters with ingame currency to customize them
>getting armor before you prestige 2-3 times is useless since you'll find better armor once you're prestiged
>Armor stats are relevant in the most popular game modes
>balance issues that went unnoticed for months
>no dedicated servers meant half of the time pedro from hue would be the one dictating your ping
The game deserved to fail, but it's still going on. Cool and fun core gameplay premise, but ruined because ubisoft cannot just give people a full game at release. I'm not even mad about season passes, I'm mad about incomplete products consistently being sold at full prices.

>Buying shit directly off Uplay

Yeah, can't forget about all 7 of them

And yet nobody realizes its just getting the seige marketing strategy and will reemerge as a mainstream game in a few months

This. Hot damn does no one talk about it anymore either.

You got an in game bonus for doing so and a lot of people took the incentive

I doubt people actually bought it on Uplay when you could go to key resellers for much cheaper. There are also those who got the game for free via graphics cards and shit.

Steam and Uplay aren't restricted at all. It died on PC as a whole.

Don't remind me

For Honor was a genuinely good game with great mechanics and combat that got cucked because Ubisoft is composed of incompetent numales

I honestly should've listened to the minority of people saying to fall into Ubisoft's shit

Obviously you buy it from a key reseller because paying the full price is retarded. But the keys were all for uplay.
