I've played it. Fun game, just don't make any mistakes to get the ending you want.

>random items from chests
>weapons have uses
>best strat is spam weapon in practice where it can't break

I mean, I liked it as a kid but the gameplay was fucking garbage looking back

...

ONLY ME.

i've played it. but only because the gba was starved for anime harem waifu games. emulated the psp version at some point, it was a better experience

Ive played the gba version. Pretty sure qe had one on gba

same devs

I'd be happy to find someone who's played this underrated gem, but I've never found othet people who play it.

This was a legit good game. Shame the ones related to it never got localized.

literally every department heaven game was localized

I bought that on PSN recently after kinda liking Ever Oasis but I've been too into Bloodborne to start it.

I own it, but only played it once at launch. I'm more familiar with the second one, but one day I'd like to go back and play it.

I loved pic related back in the days

There's a brothel nearby called riviera

I had the PC version

I gotta say the dreamcast version was pretty neat, dreamcast was a pretty neat thing overall.

>only use the MC the entire game
>plow through normal levels with overleveled MC
>the levels with character restrictions are slightly difficult
>second stage of final boss is ranged-weapon only
>tickled the final boss to death with the flying rabbit dude and an assload of repair powder

I don't think you can call Dark Cloud underrated. It was a great game. Dark Cloud 2 is probably one of my favorite PS2 games though.

Been trying to remember the name of this for years

Decent witcher clone honestly, would have probably played right through if I didn't lose my saves

Do you think you're fitting in by sticking those parentheses around the word like you saw other 4channers do while you were "lurking" for 2 seconds? Shut the fuck up, sub-100 IQ sape. Lurk for 2000 years before you come back. sage

What do you have it on? Console or PC? You can beat the game in like 5 hours if you skip side content and just plow through.

Its a steam game but I only heard of it because a friend told me about it.
Its actually pretty solid

Saw this on the catalog and just came here to say Serene best girl.

People talk about 2 more often but plenty of people played Dark Cloud user. I played the demo dozens of time as a kid and when my parents bought me the full game I was so excited I thought I was going to shit my pants.

>worst version
im so sorry user

Same for me, played the demo countless times and nearly popped a gasket when my sister bought me the actual game.

Had it for 360, might just pirate the PC version and give it another go though. Premise seemed interesting enough

Interdimensional jew sim with some diablo on the side

I actually used Xiao, Osmond and Ruby a lot when they were powerful enough, since it was so much easier to take out enemies at a distance and not take damage. But then towards endgame I noticed how OP Toan becomes, especially if you level up the Sun Sword.

Goro and Ungaga were fucking unplayable for me, though. They're just so clunky to control, and Ungaga is weak as shit.

Remember that time RTS and FPS had a love affair?

Yes.

Did anyone play this? I played this in japanese when I was around 8 holy shit I have no idea how I finished it then

rocket slime?
yes

played and owned both the GBA and PSP version.

You fucked your thread up instantly OP.

>that one family member who exclusively bought you licensed games

Played it own it, the sequel is in my top 10 games of all time. A dark cloud 3 announcement would make me buy a PS4.

that was surprisingly decent

...

Blaze Union and Gloria Union weren't localized, which is what I assume he was referring to.

...

It was ok

...

battlezone 2 was the shit

>intro is a demo reel of you fighting in the prologue
>mine is just wandering into stuff like a mong

When are we getting a sequel, I want to know what happens after.

Gundam Battle Assault 1 for PS1

had a lot of fun with it, nice fighter iirc

c'mon someone else played a proper game o' Gobbo Co. right?

...

Picked this up the other day, hadn't heard or seen of it before

>tfw some cunt fucks up your flawless betting record by running around obstacles until the time runs out
reeeeee

Oy ya fuck, I was going to post that.

I had one and two.....two dwarfs one by miles.

This just means both of us were wrong. Now neither of us will be virgins! Red goblins best goblins.

Another one, actually playing the first, all of them are great.

Not only did I play this but I also know stupid trivia about it, like for example that the english release was less censored than the japanese one.

Crazy times.

explain

this game is well known in atlus' catalog, you're a retard, OP.

The king is a badass. It's a shame the turorial is so short.

Lunia online. You will be forever missed

I really enjoyed KitK, gameplay was weird and fun, but the pacing was so fucked.

Yea i remember playing ps2 zelda

Evil Quest

Also came here to say this, you're alright.

...

Any more games like this?

I blame the poor thing having come out the same year as Persona 5 and Tales of Berseria.

...

>implying I haven't played everything by Sting

...

...

A game that actually only I have played.

Top tier girls

...

>Gorky Zero 2: Aurora Watching is a third-person stealth action game, and a sequel to Gorky 17. The game was published in North America by Dreamcatcher Interactive as Soldier Elite, and in Europe by Enlight Software as Aurora Watching. The English translation ignores all ties to the previous Gorky titles, for example changing the protagonist's name from Cole Sullivan to White Fox. The English language story concerns the protagonist infiltrating a secret Russian base where scientists are developing enhanced human soldiers called "Crazy Ivans".

What the actual fuck

I never really understood the mechanic behind this game despite beating it once.

You can level up your characters and shit to get more vitality or whatever needed to attack but pretty much at every stage, the game will give you new characters with appropriate level anyway so what's the fucking point of upgrading?

>Made by Shiny
>Published by Interplay
>Music by Tommy Tallarico
Totally flew under the radar in the late years of the PS1

Translation fucking never.

Cursed Crusade had no business being as fun as it was

The premise of this game fuels my corruption boner but it just looks so janky and shit.

Please bring back Dept. Heaven, I need it.

What do you mean by pacing? For me, I got tired of how formulaic the progression was. There was a story segment, a battle, and then a flashback of how the knights you were just using were killed. At that was it for 48 chapters, with the occasional boss battle. Still one of my favorite games ever though.

If you do it right, you can make characters who have really high law/chaos attack, so you'll be doing more damage. Aside from that, it's probably just meant to keep your favorite characters alive. There's actually no reason to recruit anyone unless you like them. If you lack a character of a certain class, you'll get a generic replacement.

Riviera was fucking shit though.
Blaze Union Eng fucking when

not him but this, it was pretty soul crushing

I played the GBA version. The mechanics and gameplay were complete ass.

>4 items per battle for the ENTIRE party - that's it
>QTEs and puzzles for chests
>poor navigation like tons of identical rooms, albeit with different monsters and items
>dumb waifu harem shit

>occasional boss battle
It was good for like the first half of the chapters but near the end it's just one boss fight after another, which gets really tedious.

Don't forget the part where slutty red witch fell on her ass on top of MC and the two choices were basically

>increase witch affection but decrease everybody's else OR

>decrease affection with EVERYONE

I think Sting is pretty much dead.

youtube.com/watch?v=YSJ-qet6AT0

It was totally okay, and had a great OST too.
Blaze Union has the script translated, but not in the game. I think you're gonna have to play the jap version side by side with the translated script if you really want to play, unfortunately. I wish they'd at least translate the Gloria Union menus.

They're working with other companies to make games currently, like some Neptunia and Dungeon Travellers shit, but I have faith they'll bring the series back some day.

any RTS is shit compared to this

Most people didn't realize Legend of Legaia had a sequel, which is a good thing because it was fucking awful.

Back in the days, I was actually autistic enough to 100% complete this shit.

Mini-game was pretty retarded but fun. Practically cock-fighting. PETA would be all over this.

Also, daddy scalie.

The problem is that you have the initial tutorial 10~ chapters as the king wanders back to the castle and you get a feel for what happened.
But once all the major players are introduced the plot basically does not move probably until you kill the princess who gets turned into a demon because she wanted to help.

...

Should I play the PSP version or the GBA version
Had Rivera as a kid and I was in love with the witch bitch.

Neither. The gameplay will put you to sleep.

Had a lot of middle school faps to that game tho

...

my mom got me this with the PS2, it was ok. The combat system was new to me but having 2 in the title got me uncomfortable because i believed I skipped some background story

GBA emulator, combat can be slow and grindy so better make use of that speed up from the emulator.
