Judging from the last four splatfest results, team battle wins is such an unknown factor. It feels like ketchup has popularity and mayo has solo wins, but team wins could go either way.

Ketchup having popularity is the only certain thing. You can't really tell how battles are going based on the personal experiences of the people here because there's thousands of players. Having a guaranteed point for popularity is definitely a big advantage.
