Setting MP3 in South America killed the game.
Adding in the cocktease flashback scenes only made it more apparent.

Max Payne 3 is the best one. The style in that game is fucking unbelievable, I love it so much.

I really liked MP3. I sorely missed the metaphors from he earlier games but in a way I think not including was a better decision. I doubt anyone at Rockstar can come up with the stuff San Lake does.

MP3 gunplay is as good as the original MP, in my opinion, even better on some aspects. The worst thing about the game were those awful unskippable cutscenes and the jumping around text that accompanied them. Everything else was fine. Decent length campaign, good story, great graphics, I don't know why people just hate the game and say dumb shit about this game.

As someone who fucking adores the trilogy and has grinded every fucking SP challenge in 3 to unlock the cheats (which are fuck as fuck ) I goddamn agree. The gunplay is absolutely phenomenal and a joy to play, but the pacing is so fucked it really destroys the game unless you were a cocksucker for Max's character like I am.

Arcade mode kinda fixes the cutscenes issue, but replaces it with that score system. Replaces shit with shit.

Arcade mode is meh imo, I enjoyed more New York Minute. Sadly never managed to get more far than that fucking bulding level on Hardcore because of bullshit sections, especially the armor guy.

I had more of a shock with Max Payne 2.

The mp was fun but terribly unbalanced. All you had to do was to use handguns, remove everything else and use female characters. I don't have much complaints about the levelling system, what was your gripe with it?

Only problem with Max Payne 3 is the fucking cut scenes for everything. Story was fun, gameplay was GREAT, grafix looked good. I would've preferred comic books to the new style they went with but it wasn't that bad.

How's the multiplayer?

Played it for 2 years. Was overrun with hackers at the fag end. It was fun, but it's probably dead now

Now I've gotta reinstall it

Fun as fuck but balance is dogshit and hackers roam free. Good for private matchs.
