Is this game good?

Is this game good?

I've tried to play it twice now and given up within 30 minutes both times

Clearly not.

Why did you give up?

I dont know

I'm downloading it again to get it another go

At what point is it you give up?

>I dont know

I didn't like the beginning either but after you unlock powers it becomes more fun.

Its great for stealth
Don't pick it up if you're expecting cool combat, dark messiah is better for that

Whether the game is good or not does not matter. What matters is that you do not seem to like the game, and that's okay.

Enjoyable if you go low-chaos, 'not allowed to kill, only allowed to use un-upgraded blink, highest difficulty' mode.

Well I dont know user

>forgetting to turn off HUD and any and all objective markers

When was the last time you played?

6 months to a year

Well I'm not sure why in such a small span of time your memory is so garbage but I guess you'll remember why you dropped it when you play it again.

Thanks user

I'd argue that is the opposite, stealth in dishonored is a bit too easy to really compare to things like thief, but the combat is cool as fuck since you have so many options to tackle the enemies, sword combat is fucking fantastic and the ranged weapons all feep like they pack a punch

Yes, it's one of the best games of last gen.
But Immersive Sims are not for everyone.

If the game does not make you want to take your time to explore everywhere, look for alternate paths, stop to listen to npc dialogues, etc. and all you want to do is run to quest markers, you will not enjoy it.

It's one of the most underrated games ever created. Skyrim babies cry about getting a bad end for killing people but it's a stealth game.

The real question is, how is Dishonored 2? I liked the first one a lot, haven't played it in a few years. Is the second game an improvement on the first, or should I just replay the first game?

That looks lame as fuck. You may as well be watching a cutscene

Sorta. Gives a lot of tools to play with and has nice level design. Still I got bored and never finished it; felt repetitive. The lore/story is all just laughably horrible. That said, I wish there were more games like it. It's what I want out of an "open" world.

Okay user

Slomo is for babies

Story is worse, almost everything else is better. Level design in 2 is honestly god tier.

I didn't like it.
>make 85% of your tools only good for killing
>gives you the bad end for killing

>that completely unnecessary slide to grab the rat
wew

>Kill random guards who are just doing their jobs or civilians
>More corpses in the streets
>More rats to eat the corpses and spread disease
>More disease kills the city
>Get the bad ending
You can kill every target and have low chaos, they added in lethal tools for children like you who can't stealth

don't forget to take your ritalin

Takes a bit. I didn't think it was a masterpiece until I was halfway through the DLC.
It's well worth it.

Cool, thanks. I already forgot about the story anyways so that shouldn't matter

Wouldn't you agree that it would be better if you had more tools for non-lethal playthrough? I think the game is great, but not a masterpiece because of that very reason. It's like the devs couldn't decide between an action game or a stealth game. It lacked focus.

Also the story is dumb but who cares.

i for one would have LOVED an equal amount of stealth tools to knock fuckers out instead of chokeholding them and jumping to a bush to rape them in

It just bugs me that lethal has a ton of fun options while stealth is slow-paced choking and dragging every guard with the occasional sleep dart. The game isn't fun when it punishes you for playing it the fun way.

I should advise though it is very similar. The base gameplay hasn't really changed. They've just added new powers/weapons/bone charms and some different mechanics. Also choose Emily over Corvo for your first playthrough. The game was obviously designed with her in mind and Corvo is more of an afterthought.

>The game isn't fun when it punishes you for playing it the fun way.
But disregarding the "bad end" it doesn't.

It's very good, super immersive, lore is also top notch

That's the thing, I do regard the bad end as a punishment when the game is telling me in the loading screens and prison cell about the consequences of high chaos and how I should feel bad for generating it.

>how I should feel bad for generating it.
So don't feel bad? It's a vidya game my man.
