Would've been a 10/10 if Elma was the main character and they got rid of the player character.
Super fun. Want a sequel to explain it better.
I enjoyed it immensely.
this. I really want to see what happens next.
Was hype as all FUCK.
Combat turned out MMO.
NOPE'd out of that shit.
One of my biggest regrets buying at full price. Huge disappointment. I fell for the Chell meme and had to deal with the worst party members like ever.
The 'LOST' of video games.
Quit playing when you get more party members and have to switch them out by finding them around the city instead of just doing it in a menu like any normal game. I was enjoying it until then though.
Could have been better, but I still got 100+ hours from it. More than I can say for most games.
Wouldn't buy a Switch version though...maybe.
I fucking love everything, fun 1000+ hours
You mean combat turned out like the previous game, which it looked very similar to since the reveal trailer? Whoa, who could've predicted that?
It would have been better if experience and affinity could be shared with unused party members
>experience
Sure, although once you have Skells it takes literally ten minutes to give them to the other characters, down some high-level enemies and get the low-leveled ones up to par.
>affinity
This would make no sense though. It's perfectly reasonable that only the characters in your party would gain affinity and it encourages party rotation. I was probably too thorough, but I managed to max everyone's affinity out naturally by the time I was completely done with the game, something I couldn't do in the original without tons of gifting but I said screw it and just farmed affinity from Stormy Belagon's sleep spike.
To me, it is the definition o "Really want to like."
I bought it in December and put about 10 hours into it and just can't find myself to put it back up. It almost suffers from being too big. Plus, the combat seems pretty shallow, but I am almost sure I'm doing it wrong.
I don't know, it seems fun, but I just and not having fun with it. I don't start school back until the 14th; I might try and jump into it again.
Also the fucking music
It can definitely feel overwhelming at first. The combat also starts shallow due to limited options, but by the late game and postgame it becomes a blast with all the complex, broken setups you can put together. Dunno what to tell you, you should press on unless it's really that much of a chore.
Didn't know about XC before hearing about XCX, possibly because I wanted nothing to do with the fucking Wii.
Game was amazing up until Skells came into the picture. Sort of ruined exploration.
Amazing game, doesn't hold a candle to the first one though.
I hate that it is just an okay game. I bought the Special edition along with a huge guide out of hype since Chronicles is pretty much my favourite game ever.
I wouldn't have minded if it was crap, but it's not. It's just okay. And annoys the living shit out of me.
This
Playing through it now blind, just got the skell flight license. Gameplay is pretty good I guess, but fuck the music. Fuck the music so hard.
I CAN'T HEAR YOU
I CAN'T SEE YOU
WOOOOAHOOOOU
WOOOOAHOOOOU

It's the Wii U's best game.
Name a better song.

THIS GUY GETS IT. seriously about to hookup my Wiiu and finish this trash
Get on my level
jesus christ its beautiful
Huh. I actually got some (You)s. Anyways, I'm playing it right now and I just got my first game over. Got to a boss, apparently the annoying psycho bitch and dopey giganigga are back in a giant-ass ship, and their gimmick is spawning a bunch of backup. Not sure if I should back off and prepare before retrying more.
>Implying
>Cool mech on the cover
>Got hyped
>Great ost from trailers
>Got special edition
>You get mech late in the game
>Have to do fetch quests and gather stupid shit materials
>Finally get it
>Expensive as shit
>Can't even fly, have to jump everywhere
>In order to fly, you gotta do some other dumb fetch quests, fuck that, used a guide
>Now you can't jump without flying
>Some sidequests and affinity stuff takes too much time
F this game, but the things it did good, were very good, I really liked the OST, tho, but the battle theme took too long to get to the good part.
Not the game that I wanted but it was cool. Never beat it though.
*unsheathes Longsword* nuthin personnel kid

>>Now you can't jump without flying
Hold ZL right after pressing ZR, the effect is the same as a jump.
Not really, it still sometimes triggers the music too.
Flight should've been activated on double tap.
Well yeah, I agree.
seemed really cool but i hit an enormous wall once i got the mech.
Took way to long to get a mecha
Haven't played it since
Should I continue?
It seems like this game is:
>takes 60 hours to get to mech
>when you GET to mech, it hits a wall and ruins the game
>in the meantime, sound and graphics and combat are awful
So does that make this a bad game?
>Sound is awful
Want to know how I know you never made it to Sylvalum?
youtube.com
I've never played it, but I regularly masturbate to the mecha designs.
It just seems like you're a faggot to me.
Groovin' right now.
>Fuck the music
I thought Xenoblade had good music? Or was it only the Wii version which had good music?

These two songs are probably top 10 worst video game songs ever, that being said the rest is pure koncert.
I grows on you. also you don't hear it much
My best game of decade and literally best mech jRPG period.
Loved it a lot.
And hate that itch its created is hard to scratch.
Xenoblade 2 shapes terribly compared to this
WE'RE STUCK ON A WHOLE DIFFERENT PLANET
When I played Xenoblade 3D I'd get to a new area, spend hours doing quests and exploring and maybe continue with the story if I got bored. Playing Xenoblade X in the same way proved extremely beneficial; do whatever you want for as long as you want and do a story mission if you get bored. Even with less story content I preferred the sidequests, setting and designs in X a lot more to the ones in Chronicles. The cliffhangers + explaining nothing + having entire quests just to go "wow this planet is weird" really busts my balls though.
