It is a fantastic game, though free Halo 5 is a bonus too
I you love arcade racing games that game is a most
try the demo.
i personally think that on PC the only comparable game is The Crew, which is an unoptimized piece of shit.
on the downside forza is sold at console price range which is a big no no.
I'd try the demo, but my issue is having to install Win 10.
I did install Windows 10 for this game.
Still have no regret.
It's great
It's not a simulator but everyone knows that
Looks great, plays great.

Thank fuck. I've been looking for a new racing game on steam, something between a simulator like Assetto Corsa and a party game like Mario Kart. Any recommendations?
If you want open world and arcade without playing The Crew, then yes. The Crew 2 looks like a good competitor tho I'm looking forward to it.
The Hot Wheels DLC is a weekend of pure sheer fun. Shame Halo Wars 2 isn't crossplay, I'd recommend it otherwise. I don't think the PC community is that big. Gears of War 4 has a crossplay queue that is fairly active with the Xbox community.
Brick Rigs
>tfw there will never be a simulation-grade open world racing game
feels bad man.
Yeah it's not a sim but the driving is not completely arcadey either. If you turn off all the assists it takes some skill to pilot a 1300kg 700 hp shitbox around.
I'm asking around because I felt i already burnt out my time with The Crew. And kind of fear that Horizon's Australia won't be as fun to cruise around as The Crew's USA.
Blur is literally what you're looking for.
I prefer Horzon 3 for literally everything EXCEPT The Crew's map. The Crew had a comfy map.
Usually games tend to extinguish their fun when you complete most events. Only two have ever hold me past that, Gran Turismo validating my shitbox addiction, and The Crew due to the comfyness that just driving gave you.
Wish there were more 'Road Trip' kind of games.
Can you get the Regalia for PC if you don't own FFXV on Xbone?
I really enjoyed the game, but I recently reinstalled and now it crashes fucking constantly. I can't play for more than 1 hour without it shitting the bed entirely. And the multiplayer is still broken for me.
With the power that comes with diverse PC components comes diverse bugs and crashes. This is why I still prefer my Xbox to compliment my PC.
Make sure you have enough VRAM
I wanna get this but it's too expensive for me atm.
I also found it hard to fine-tune my wheel to feel good. The forcefeedback wasn't horrible but if it felt better out of the gate then I'd probably be more inclined to get it.
>I you love arcade racing games that game is a most
its a good game but make sure you dual boot win 10 instead of replacing your existing OS
With Kikesoft games, it's kind of neat that you can play them on console or PC. There aren't many games worth a good god damn is the only issue.
Microsoft is going to do another big push at the next E3. They have Turn10 working on a new IP, Halo 6 will be Play anywhere, Some new "Zelda/Horizon Dawn" style game is being developed possilbly a fable game, and supposively some new IPs are coming.
Luckily as a consumer it's nice to see them play catch up because we might get some quality games out of it. I've been enjoying Gigantic, Halo Wars 2, and Horizon 3. I even use the Windows 10 store for some mobile trash from time to time. I love how I can play Fable Fortune on my Xbox when I'm home and on my laptop when I work out of hotels. But yeah, there needs to be MORE essentially before they can pull any real numbers to it.
How well optimised is the game?
I remember reading somewhere that even on GTX1080's the game chugged and turned into a slideshow quite fast.
I desperately want to play it and so sick of NFS 2015.
Yes. Better than 2, but nothing really Beats 1-especially the soundtrack. Get the Hot Wheels DLC.
Just know that it's more arcadey than FM.
1070 and ryzen r5. runs it pretty well, think updates have made it passable, since i got it recently enough.
I heard that the PC version runs like crap. Well, I have the Xbone version and recently updated my Windows partition to Windows 10... is it worth selling my physical Xbone copy and grabbing the digital version during a sale?
It's fun at first, but it outwears it's welcome a bit too fast in my opinion.
The hotwheels expansion is shit. it's nothing but straight lines, or looped corners that feel like straight lines in cars that hit their top speed in mere seconds, so you feel like you're driving a motorized shopping kart.
>Some new "Zelda/Horizon Dawn" style game is being developed
>possibly a fable game
This actually sounds pretty good, though if it's anything like Fable 3 they'll just ruin everything with handholding mechanics.
>Is this worth installing Windows 10?
Why bother when you can cut out the middle man and send your blood and piss samples and retina scans directly to the nsa?
Figures i'd post it here. Here's my perfect racing game.
You start of as a 20 something living in one of 7 lovcations in rural/surburban japan in 1987. You start with a keitruck and you make deliveries. Eventually you save up enough money for either a busted ass shell that you have to fix my summer car style, or you save up for a newish, running car.
So after you fix your car, you hit one of many laser scanned touge routes. Your home course depends on which town you chose. After you win enough races, you get connections that get you a better delivery job.
Each racer gets their own short write-up TXR style, and like import tuner challenge, they get a VN style speechcard where they say something to establish a personality before each race.
So there are a few timeskips. You start out in 1987, then you timeskip to 1995, then 2005, then 2020. In 1995, you move from being a delivery man to a shop owner with yakuza connections. You gain access to highway racing in 1995 as well, complete with a storyline making a delivery to a mid night club member, and looking up the races in the local classifieds
The opponent lineup changes, old opponents sometimes update their rides, really old ones come out and re-race their vintage cars for fun, and there are even shrines where you can summon the ghosts of long dead racers.
There are multiple weather effects, There’s rain, snow, fog, cherry blossom storms during boss battles, forest fires,
The soundtrack selection ranges from early 80′s J-rock and YMO inspired synth selections, to eurobeat and italo-disco, to 90′s j-rock, to trance and EDM for the 10′s. Each era having it’;s own soundtrack.
Each era has it’s own period correct tuning trends, period correct body kits, and vintage bodykits available in junkyards and on yahoojapan/classified ads.Even the snacks you can purchase to recharge your spirit meter mid-battle have period correct wrappers.
cont.
As for game mechanics, the driving model would be a simcade similar to gran turismo where you have to have at least some driving ability to progress. There’d be tons of minigames including burger flipping QTE fests, a mechanic sim where you fix other cars for money, There would absolutely be no online play. However, there would be an export paintjob and import PNG decal feature for the car paint shop and vinyl editor. Players would be encouraged to share paintjobs.
It's alright. Kinda average. I played it for a few weeks with friends, but if it wasn't for them I don't think I would have enjoyed very much. The campaign races are alright and trying ace time trials for a few hours was kinda fun.
The most fun was doing 3 lap Goliath races with friends or making up our own top gear style challenges.
Just dual boot 7 and 10 if you're so skeptical about W10 my dude
...
>Some new "Zelda/Horizon Dawn"
Just say Ubisoft game
NSA probably has all that shit already from your phone anyways
PC version runs great, it's just demanding game, hence why it's only 30fps on Xbone & probably going to be shy of 4K on Xbox X too
Just a lot of PCfags jump in maxed settings & cry foul then it doesn't hit a solid 60fps & act like it's "unoptimized"
it was poorly optimized shit which wouldn't use your CPU properly until recently though
You could ask around for a code or just buy a regalia from the auction house. You can literally buy any car in that game as long as it isn't part of a paid DLC. They gave a regalia code to everyone with FFXV so I'm sure there are a ton of people that don't plan on using theirs.
I guess I just play it on the bone but if you don't mind the cluster fuck that is windows 10 go nuts
