Just got my used 970 from ebay today and holy shit that's a incredibly huge performance boost for games compared to the integrated graphics in the i5 I've been using since March, even PS2 games emulate FAR better on it, Prior to that, I was on a Windows XP for several years with a 6800gt, Pentium 4 3.06ghz, and 2GB DDR RAM.

People vastly underestimate the importance of airflow.
The ones always complaining about high temps are often running in a cramped, dusty case with a single fan going.

They really do. I went from 3 fans to like 7 and it's just dandy in there.

it's been almost a month since i got it. I'm using the stock air cooler and it hasn't catched on fire yet so that's cool. Been playing stuff like DOOM and Ori and might get GTA V

Singler-player is fun, but once you beat it, there's no replay value. Online is fun, though. Has a lot to do like different missions, races, heists and they recently added gunrunning. You'll need an apartment to host heists, but you can join them whenever, and since you're new, you'll get double the cash for completing them, which is a few hundred thousand.

I already beat the single-player on my PS4 which i sold in order to get this rig. Never gave the online a chance but might do it now. Maybe i should just wait for a sale.

What games can I play with this rig? Can it play Cities Skylines, if not what do I need to upgrade?

They are going to to be an order of magnitude more powerful at mining than anything on the market and are going to be out of stock for 6+ mos at least, even with everything AMD is doing to keep people from buying them all up at once.

Nah. The newer samsung models don't have burn in, although I've heard some stuff about purple ghosting. Seems only older models have them and can be removed with calibration. Aside from that no IPS glow, plasma level contrast and up to 144hz. I'm looking to replace my VG24QE with triple C24FG70

It's not an OLED panel. The matrix is VA, which has its own problems. The "LED" part in the description refers to LED backlight.
