Left me with mixed feeling. I was in love with the game as I was playing, while there still was mystery; after finishing not sure I even would recommend it to others.

If you were hating the game up until that point you are going to have to grit your teeth and bear with a lot of route B. It's well worth it though because what comes after it is what you are liking cranked up to one thousand.

Automata's strength lies in its thematics. If you are ignoring them and focussing entirely on the character narrative which is of less importance and has less focus of course you are going to walk away unimpressed. It's not even pretentious about it either as nothing is particularly deep or obscuered, so I have no idea how you ended up like that.

Why would you want to accept that particular ending when there are three of them?

I liked A, and I was very okay with B. I didn't like all that forced suffering in C and D. Not the guy you're replying to, obviously.

I may not be a very clever man. I produce great results when solving problems with clearly defined goals, but with human relation I often find myself not noticing the obvious. Sup Forums even had to explain to be that 2B and 9S's encounter in the game was not the first one for 2B. I really did play the game hoping for simple character relation development.

Well there's nothing wrong with that user, but Nier rather than Automata is definitely the game for you because as I said the latter's emphasis is on the thematics and that is what makes the game work so well. Ending E, which is the climax of the game was one giant 4th wall break.

There are numerous references to the first game but it's not like you'll miss anything important to the plot without playing it beforehand.

It was decent for a while but long before even finishing Ending A I got bored with it. Sidequests are tedious and for the most part uninteresting and the combat seems really shallow. I'm not into spectacle fighters and maybe I'm playing the game wrong but MGR in comparision is so much more intuitive and had way more interesting combat.

Yeah, 2B is hot (thighs man here) but that's not enough to justify the 30€ pricetag. Thanks for nothing Sup Forums, why do I listen to you?

You'll miss out on Platinum's most shallow game yet, having to redo 7 or so hours of the game with a worse character and a forced hacking mini game that is the epitome of repetitive and quite possibly the single most empty open world game ever.
