Yes, but d-pad sucks ass.

it's literally the best controller ever made

Fuck no
>Shit dpad (youtube.com/watch?v=FOZ4EsGVBhM) when a 40 dollar alternative has the best dpad in any modern controller
>70 dollars for no improvements over the WiiU Pro which is 40
>70 dollars for 40 hours of battery life when the WiiU has 80
>70 dollars for worse stick placement than the WiiU (Having dpad and face buttons on the bottom across from each other felt like there was a snes controller built into it and worked amazingly for emulation)
Get one of these and the mayflash adapter. It'll total out to less than the Switch Pro and be a better PC Gamepad.

Switch Pro is genuinely one of the worst controller of our time.

>bullshit: the post

>Shit dpad
wrong
>70 dollars for no improvements over the WiiU Pro which is 40
lie
>70 dollars for 40 hours of battery life when the WiiU has 80
no one cares. if it was 4 and 8 hours, then I'd agree
>70 dollars for worse stick placement than the WiiU
aaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahaahahahahahahahaha

>its literally just this video and over again
Is the new crowbat video that shitposters will use to pretend all Switches are like this?

>Being this fucking upset that The Switch controller is bad
I'd pick a 360 controller over that piece of shit. They're practically the exact same thing down to the wretched dpad and stick placement. But at least the 360 one doesn't cost SEVENTY FUCKING DOLLARS

typical shitposter response

free (You)!

It's literally closer in design to the 360s dpad than it is Nintendo's usual dpad design. They used a cheaper dpad because the Switch is rife with cut corners to save a couple of bucks.

(you)

I like the way it looks, but I don't think it's worth $70

I'm confused about the d-pad thing. I've played through shovel knight, blaster master zero, and mighty gunvolt burst with 0 issue, yet everyone seems to think it's total ass

Your standards and the DPAD are whats ass in this equation user

You people have to be kidding me. This is the best controller. Nothing else compares.

I mean maybe if you got it for like 5 dollars.

It's worth full price? Why the hell would you get literally anything else?

It probably works well enough for some games that don't involve too much use of up and down, but trying to play Puyo Puyo Tetris with it just sucks because you'll be making so many unintended hard drops.

>digital triggers
>mushy face buttons
>wireless only
>DirectInput on PC

I mean, if it was $30-$40, I wouldn't feel that bad about it. D-Pad is also on par with the Xbox One's and arguably better than DS4, but with those flaws and a $70 price tag, it's pretty meh. If you really want to go with a wireless controller, pick up the Wii U Pro. It's got some of the same problems, but longer battery life and a more ergonomic casing. If you just want a controller at all, the Xbone ones recently dropped to $30, and it's arguably the best one you're ever going to find under $100.

>Why the hell would you get literally anything else?
So that I don't have to play my games with something that looks like they melted down and repurposed plastic from mcdonalds toys

undisputed controller for PC

>>digital triggers

This is a good thing though

Steam Controller+WiiU Pro as backup masterrace.

Reminder that only those with profoundly shit tastes peddle the Xbone, Xbone elite, DS4, and Switch Pro

>Traps are not gay

These is not cheap plastic, it's light but sturdy. Kinda like carbon fiber but not really. Even the picture shows how much effort they put into designing it.

I had two of these, and the right stick on both of them both got fucked up from regular use.
Unless connecting them to my pc via an adapter is what fucked them up.

Yeah it's THE best controller for general use imo. If you want a Dpad for platformers then you should just get a separate dedicated controller such as the 8bitdo pad.
The face buttons feel great and I prefer them over the convex Xbox buttons any day. And digital triggers are better 99% of the time except for driving simulators. Btw if you're going to get an Xbone controller for PC at least get an Xbone S controller as it has Bluetooth while the original does not.

I had the same issue with the adapter. It means you got a defective one apparently.

>shit taste on others when literally yours is shit

>paying $70 for a shit tier dpad and digital triggers

Gross

>8bitdo pad

No. No one listen to this. I don't know why people suggest these non-stop. I fell for the meme and ended up with a garbage tier controller that started falling apart the second week I had it

If you wanted a dedicated platformer controller then get a Saturn controller with a usb converter

>Doesn't know the steam controller is GOAT
>Alternatively: Thinks the WiiU pro isn't the best traditional controller of all time
>Bait reaction image
Enjoy your poor tastes

The argument for digital triggers is why we've got shoulder buttons, dingus. Better to have the option of analog for shit like driving and what not than to throw out the option for all games entirely to save the .01s it takes to pull the trigger.

I wouldn't say it's great, I wouldn't say it's awful, but for what it is it is good. I really never had any complaints using it, as a gamepad it is just fine.
That being said, the price is absolutely abysmal, it really should be $50, maybe $60 tops but that is really pushing it. The sad thing is that it's more affordable to get a bunch of pro controllers than it is to get joycons.

2/10
made me reply

>He only has one controller
Look at this poorfag

>The argument for digital triggers is why we've got shoulder buttons

The issue is that the analog triggers are usually in the more accessible/comfortable position. If you're not playing games that make use of the analog functionality then it would be better to have digital shoulder buttons in the more natural/comfortable position instead

For example the digital shoulder buttons the the Xbox One controller are uncomfortable as fuck to use for extended periods of time, while your fingers naturally rest on the analog buttons

I paid extra for the splatoon version and i have used it once. All i ever want to do is play in handheld mode

I hate playing in handheld mode, I can't ever see shit, especially when using motion

if you have steady hands then you can always turn up the sensitivity

It actually does support wired connections through the USB cable. It works with the Switch, but I don't know about PC implementation.

Yes

I still prefer the DS4 but I like it better than the XBone pad.

Any of you guys with experience regarding 8bitdo controllers? I kinda want to buy the upcoming SNES one with motion, but I just want a good dpad for Switch games.

That's not the DS3.

Op here, I got my switch a few days and I'm looking for something better and sturdier than the joy con grip.

No.

It's pretty good. If you have smallish hands then it may be perfect for you. The build quality is good, input lag isn't too bad and the controller feel is good. Just kinda small is all.
