Both because of the cancerous cutscene that confirmed the fact that it would continue 2-onward's use of Disney worlds as just wastes of time, with no actual story connection with the Disney world

Most anticipated game currently.
Looks pretty good, I expect the combat to be a step or 2 down from 2 though.

The amount of crap in 2 is indefensible, I can't stand 90% of the cutscenes, with the other 10% being decent/bearable.

I'm playing the entire series for the first time (I played 1 as a kid but don't remember much except Hercules arena and hidden bosses.) Currently on re chain of memories. The gameplay throws me off every time.

I bought a 599 dollar PS3 at launch because I was sure that KH3 would be just around the corner for the PS3. Was kinda disappointed it didn't get announced or released and got excited again when I saw FinalFantasy XIII versus for the PS3...

Disney's the king of finding voice impersonators to carry on playing their legacy impersonators, yet when it comes time to replace one of the most noteworthy performances in the entire series, just have goddamn Corey pick up the slack for the umpteenth time

Exactly. I mean you're talking about an actor who was prominent for over half a century and known, perhaps above anything else, for his distinctive voice. There's gotta be at least a thousand people out there who can do nearly-perfect impressions of him. And if Disney's gonna keep characters he played like Count Dooku and Ansem around, they should try to make sure that the voice matches as best as it can, which is something they're normally pretty good at. Like if it wasn't for the fact that KH came out sixty years after Sleeping Beauty, you'd never guess that it's not the same chick voicing Maleficent, but as soon as Christopher Lee is unavailable we're in obvious replacement VA territory

Now, if you recall, the obvious BBS parallelism was that:

But after BBS, in 3D, we saw something different. Riku struggled, but successfully resisted temptations of the darkness and so far has been the only one to become a Keyblade Master- a lot of the time, he's deep in thought about how things are, he's very self-aware. Characteristically, this is actually a parallelism to Aqua. Meanwhile, after all the Xehanorts gave up on trying to tempt Riku, their plan changed to go after Sora instead, and based on what we've seen in KHIII's trailers, he may attempt to use the darkness to do what he wants in the plot- this would bring Terra to mind, not Ventus. THEN Kairi is obviously going to be the newest keyblade wielder of the 3, and she'll probably be a lot more light-hearted than the other two, like Ventus. It's like the parallelism rotated.

Magic and abilities in the KH universe are odd. They seem to have no rules and can do literally anything.

Aqua's Barrier isn't nearly as good as Sora's Reflect. Also, we know that Xemnas is the strongest character in the KH universe and Sora's at least able to fight on par with him. Even after Xemnas gets a massive powerup from eating Kingdom Hearts, Sora and Riku together are able to defeat him. Also also, smashing skyscrapers around is way beyond anything anyone else has shown, except for Xemnas being able to toss them around with his mind, so that puts endgame KH2 Sora and Riku way beyond anyone else. They might not still be there following the DDD events but that's the highest we've seen anything go in this series.

On a related note, I always thought the idea that Sora needed to learn the "proper" keyblade combat style was retarded. Oh yeah Sora, we know you just took out Xehanort in two different forms, but we're not sure if you'll be able to beat him again when he comes back, so we're gonna reset your growth and train you in the style of the guys who lost to him. That's a real winner of an idea right there.

Considering the picture going around of Sora and co. Saluting in front of the army men, and just from watching the trailer, it's pretty obvious that there were parts of the scene in Andy's room that were edited out for time's sake. For example: the shot slowly zooming into Woody at standstill while Sora's talking, but the next shot is a sharp cut to Woody gesturing while he responds.

I'd argue that Aqua's barrier is better by virtue of the fact that it has no MP cost and can be maintained infinitely, while Sora's is limited by resources. Of course that could just be purely a gameplay thing.
