Jesus fuck this is so hype
DQ Builders 2
>coming to Switch
MULTIPLAYER YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH
The first one needs to go on sale.
>wanted to play DQB
>busy with backlog
>never got around to it
Is this the type of game where it will be objectively superior than the first game in every way, and that there's no need to play the first one anymore? If so, I could keep busy with my backlog and just get this when it comes out.
Not by has been shown so far. I
I mean there will be tons of improvement from 1 gameplay-wise but the character interaction in 1 is fucking great so you will probably missed them
The water looks ugly.
Thank you I was just about to say this. I hate to be that guy but the water does look like shit. It looks like they just added blue fog in the distance and colored the the sky cyan or some shit and called it a day. The rest of the game play was pretty ok though
>Minecraft
>"lol autism simulator fat notch vacation 2.5 billion dollars!"
>Minecraft, but made by japs
>"HYPE! CAN'T WAIT BROS!"
It's story heavy so even if it is mechanically better, they will still be two distinct games that should both be played.
Unless you only interested in the free build but in that case, just go play Minecraft.
>slopes
>deep water
>flying
I guess it's time to build an even bigger Nigger Duplex
hyped for a minecraft clone?
So why did they make the choice to port it to Switch rather than Vita?
PC when?
What's a Vita?
Well it's better than the Switch, that's for sure.
I got bored from free play mode after awhile
The character and new mechanic introduction made me loved the first one
Minecraft, its doing super fucking well on Switch because of Game Center pushing that version.
They also probably wanted to cut Vita because it led to problems in the development of DQH2 and DQB
No Vita? :(
Because they said they wanted to support the Switch
you look ugly
So is this the same as the first with just more shit?
I've been meaning to get it but won't if it's just a straight up upgrade.
I was literally about to buy DQB1 because it's been discounted why they gotta do me like this
This is going to take awhile though. No release date for Japan yet and it will probably take a year for it to be translated
it has a new story
it also has multiplayer if you're into that
>First game has no PC port
>Sequel announced
>Still no PC port
It's like they don't want anyone to buy their games.
PC isn't a huge market in Japan.
you mean they dont want anyone to pirate their games
Go to bed Umaru
Is it just an action adventure game where you can build bases? Sounds like a cool idea.
These types of games usually do better on consoles.
>he fell for the PC meme
DQB is like Minecraft except not shit that never left beta.
It actually has stuff in it that Minecraft should've had years ago like more diverse NPCs, a plot, quests, lots of enemies, different bosses, defending your base, having graphics that aren't cuck tier meme pixels, etc.
>going underwater
I really hope you can build underwater
Might have to pick this up for switch now. Also can we talk about how nu-minecraft is a straight downgrade from what it used to be? How the fuck can you even do that?
I'm gonna miss the NPCs from 1
Looks like most of them are returning though. I can spot a few from the first game in this trailer.
I really wanted to get the first one, but I didn't think it was a home-console sort of game. Is this worth buying if I already have minecraft on my switch to appease my mobile autism?
Elle best girl
Whats up with the framerate in vid? It's like 12fps.
the first game is on vita
Didn't the first one literally just come out?
That said I'm happy it was successful enough for a sequel, and multiplayer sounds great.
>Square Enix realizes the only other console to rival the PS4 is the Switch
Interesting...
>yfw realizing every mainline DQ game is playable on 3DS
Is it considerably worse than the PS4 version? I have both but this just feels like such a good game for handhelds, if that makes sense.
I got upset and stopped playing after the first land when i found out you lose all your progress and have to keep rebuilding. Fun game though.
I mean, isn't it obvious? The Xbone is dead in Japan and the Switch is in extremely high demand.
It makes sense for SE to focus on the PS4 and Switch
Pretty much, Hell SE is the biggest Japanese supported of the Switch outside of Nintendo
Literally no one in Japan buys Microsoft consoles, Blue Dragon demonstrated this.
So the game is just Dragon Quest skinned Minecraft? Is it fun? I'd probably get it for $10 or less.
Probably shitty stream quality. I think the original ran at a stable 30 on PS4.
That reminds me, when are we going to get more news on Octopath Traveler?
No idea, TGS at the earliest.
I do know that the way they talked about DQ11 Switch made people think they are waiting until sales of the PS4 and 3DS version die down so people double or triple dip which is kinda scummy but we might get the Switch version along side the western release.
how is pc a meme
obviously the graphics are worse, and i think it runs at sub 30fps vs 60 on PS4
actually a few years ago Sup Forums was on the Minecraft hype, but stuff happened.
Reminds me I need to finish 1
Oh shit Cube World came out!
I'm not expected to be polished.
Damn, that looks worse than Builders. Is this the Switch version?
>Hype
>For a game that's gonna be neutered in order to be on switch
Yeah right
PS4
We're you mad when you found out the first game was held back by Vita and PS3 or that DQH2 was also held back by Vita and PS3?
It's Minecraft if you hate the concept of Minecraft. One might look at it and assume it's a straight clone, but it's actually a real DQ game with Minecraft gameplay. There's dungeons and NPC's who give you quests and you craft equipment to fight and explore, the worlds are crafted rather than randomly generated, it's the thing Minecraft was supposed to be until it got caught up in feature creep and slowly became an autism simulator instead of a game.
