You know what, no I don't have any objections right now

Why doesn't Capcom give a shit about this franchise or good localization? When The Great Ace Attorney comes out in English in 3 years they will still say it's fucking Los Angeles despite it being feudal Japan
Basically, Danganropa is better.

...

Just finished the third case in the original, should I play the whole series or does it peak with this game and only go downhill? I'm really enjoying it so far.

...

The first 3 games are the best in the series. Apollo Justice was okay. AAI 1 & 2 are pretty good. AA5 is stupidly easy and has a shitty plot. The Professor Layton parts in Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney are good.

Play them all and judge yourself, cases aren't too long.

imo not even DD was bad despite most people say this.

Yeah because they totally knew that there were gonna be future games after localizing the first PW game for the DS. Fucking retard
Tfw no more Miles, Frannie, Gumshow and Kay
Time skip was a mistake

>Still has hope that it's getting a localization
Also DR isn't better because although it has good mysteries, a lot of the mini-games are shit and the overall plot is retarded. ESPECIALLY in NDRV3

Raising

Ace Attorney and Danganronpa are both great franchises. Ace Attorney has better story structure, is grounded in a more realistic world, and its plot is usually more consistent and doesn't need filler as much. In contrast, Danganronpa's story structure is considerably more erratic, takes place in a world where teenagers are more or less demigods and many major characters are obsessed with the concepts of "Hope" and "Despair", and its plot is batshit insane.

In terms of gameplay, AA is more of a traditional VN game, primarily text-based with the gameplay consisting of making choices at certain points mixed with click-and-point style gameplay. DR, on the other hand, has a more engaging and fast-pasted style of gameplay that mixes choice selection with arcade-style shooter mechanics, with a variety of different types of minigames in-between that range from fun (swordfight debates and machine-gun talk attacks) to gouge your eyes out frustrating (Go-Hang-Yourself-Man's Gambit)

I will say that Danganronpa is better at creating memorable characters, primarily villains, than Ace Attorney is. Since DR's cast is very small compared to a single AA's cast, they are able to work on developing the characters and fleshing them out. Free-Time Events are the best examples of this, as you can simply talk to the characters themselves and learn more about them. Meanwhile, Ace Attorney is only able to flesh out a handful of main characters thoughtout an entire game, and even then they might not get all the development they need. Apollo is a prime example, as it took 3 games to get all the development that Hajime got in a single game.

They're both good series. Ace Attorney is for people who want to play a story-based game with a lot of critical thinking and has you guessing what will happen next, while Danganronpa is for people who don't give a shit about plot or story and just want to experience a wild fucking ride and connect to the characters better.

We'll never get a game that combines the good parts of both games

What is the general consensus on each of the games? Im new here.

Im gonna play all of them anyway, im just curious.

Ive beat Dual Destinies and recently just beat the original one. I'm playing through the second game right now, and im not really liking it. I just finished the 3rd case.

What's your favorite case, Sup Forums?
3-5 for me.

I've finished the first game and want to watch the anime. Is it good? How many games did it adapt?

>Danganropa is better.
Not with that story

Here's an objection. I want Iwadare off AA7.

I'll accept another Apollo game if it means Horiyama heads up composing again.

>Is it good?
We fucking wish.
>How many games did it adapt?
It adapts the first two games with a few changes here and there

...

...

Thanks for that one pic user, I wanted to take a screencap of that in my run too.

The only good episode I found worth watching was episode 13 among a few others. It's some decent backstory.

>Basically, Danganropa is better.
Seek suicide.

>liking any DR that came out after DR1

I hope next game teams up Nick and Athena more often. They really don't get much play together.

The same goes for Nick and Trucy but Trucy makes for a lousy case assistant.

But 2 is miles better than 1

Well since Apollo stayed in Khurain chances of that are high. Or they finally make Athena the lead character this time around

Depends on the game. And just for the sake of it I'm not including final cases.

>AA
It used to be 1-4, but now I love 1-2 simply due to how it fits in perfectly with the presidential election.

>JFA
2-1. It's the only other not shit case in that game.

>T&T
Every case in that game is solid, but 3-2 is my personal favorite from that game. Every new character in that case was likable in some way.

>AJ
4-3. It's become too much of a meme for me for me to not love it.

>AAI1
Case 1. It's a hard choice between that and the second case, but Portsman was much more memorable than Cammie.

>AAI2
It's a tie between Case 3 and 4. There're both too goddamn good. Case 3 did a great job setting everything up, and Gregory is a wonderfully lovable character for the short time he's playable. And Case 4 sets up the stakes perfectly and it just keeps giving you reasons for wanting to take down Blaise.

>DD
DLC Case. It's the perfect mix of serious and stupid, like an episode of Gintama.

>SoJ
6-2. That shit was final case tier. If it weren't for the fact that the final case goes to Danganronpa levels of crazy then it would've easily trumped it.

That's why I'm hopeful that it'll happen. Besides, Nick is supposed to be her teacher and we don't really see much of that in the actual game.

I wouldn't be opposed to an Athena focused game, but I'd rather we get to Wright again before that happens.

I don't get the Justice For All image

Reminder that the JP Judge and the chief justice of England are the final culprits in DGS2

I just finished Turnabout Academy and honestly it felt like it went just too far that even my suspension of disbelief couldn't remain intact.
Honestly all the cases in Dual Destinies have seemed much sillier than the last 3 games I played.

That's probably what they're gonna do.

I just wonder if they're gonna introduce another new prosecutor or just have Blackquill fill the role again. More importantly, will they bring back Winston, Gaspin, or bring in Winston's daughter Yura Payne?

Do it because I told you to.

2-4, sadly nothing still tops it.
3-5 was great, but nothing builds more tension and deep moral choices than 2-4.

Talking about the moral questions... the concept of "Hope" that was considered the ultimate good in DR 1 was questioned in DR 2 and 3, why can't we have a similar thing with "truth"?
They could make cases where the truth completely breaks people to put the MC in a moral drama and see the dark side of what's considered the ultimate good in AA.

I think turnabout Academy was mostly fine even if the twist about Hugh was dumb. At least the murder was interesting and the characters were okay.
After the bullshit that was the case in Nine-tails vale going to the academy felt like a breath of fresh air.

The best part of DD is the DLC case anyways.

>Honestly all the cases in Dual Destinies have seemed much sillier than the last 3 games I played
Still not as silly as ghosts and spirit mediums being accepted into the court of law.

Well if you want to see him do some airbending like in pic related give it a try

>Game wtih Athena as the lead

I might be able to tolerate that if AND ONLY IF:
>Weebquill is her assistant and they aren't afraid to have him go full edgey otaku with more cultural shenanignas like in 6-4
>There's cases with Apollo and Rayfa shenanigans in Khurain

No, it's shit. Don't even bother with it. Just keeps playing the games. And PLEASE don't play the 3ds or smartphone versions because the artwork looks like ass.

>Franzy is never coming back

>Apollo out in front
>Phoenix's back to the viewer

What did they mean by this?

>Yura wears reflective reading glasses
>her defeated animation has the slip off and reveal her eyes are just tiny dots
>Athena and her become friends and break the 1000 years of one-sided hatred created by Taketsuchi "Most Dishonorable Cuckold" Auchi

>Hugh is a fucking 25 year old highschooler
Did they ever mention why Why he took a 7 year break?

>PL vs AA

holy shit i'm fucking dying

Okay, give me your honest to goodness opinions on Spirit of justice. Was it good or not?

So, I completed the original trilogy (AA, JFA and T&T)

What should I play next?

I just finished the first game, are the other ones just as good?

its not that he took a seven year break, its that he failed 7 times.

Some are even better.

Better than DD. So yes

Apollo Justice is next

Hell yeah they are

The thing about Ace Attorney games is that you can't rank the games easily, each case is its own world and loving or hating them will vary from person to person, a game people claim to be bad might still have cases you love and vice versa

ayyy Trucy got a funny expression on her face there. Bet they fucked like rabbits too.

Jesus Christ, I didn't realize that he was lying about that too

Trilogy + Investigation games are the best of the bunch

It wouldn't surprise me that a talentless cunt like her would be into incest.

>Portsman was much more memorable than Cammie
I can think about two big reasons why Cammie was more memorable

>legacy character who was supposed to replace the main character
>main character is so fucking popular they are forced to bring him back to the spotlight
Ace Attorney is the best DBZ game

...

I loved it. 3rd best in the series for me. 6-2 was fun as hell

How would you rank the Maya counterparts?

Season 2 when?

1 was shit with its retarded games and piss easy cases, 2 just went full retard. i absolutely regret buying them

...

>tfw have a sleep rape fetish
I couldn't even pay attention to the rest of the case

Pearls > Ema > Athena > Kay > Rayfa > Maya > Trucy > Franziska

Kay > Maya > Ema > Trucy >>>>>>>>>>> shit >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Athena

Kay is shit, plain and simple. Her every line is either "muh thievery" or "muh Yatagarasu". If not for Little Thief, she'd be completely useless.

>when she starts referring to Edgeworth's logic as his superpower

Fucking kill me

To be fair in their world having common fucking sense could be considered a super power

This looks about right.

>There's cases with Apollo and Rayfa shenanigans in Khurain
This is the one thing I am hoping for in the future, along with Armie being a defendant

If she did she would probably whip Apollo the moment she opens his mouth, possibly whip Athena, get along with Trucy, whip Gumshoe if he comes back as well, and job to Phoenix once again.

Maya is cute! C-U-T-E!

This is a burger-chan thread now.

Would impregnate and lovingly cuddle using her breasts as a pillow.

Edgeworth does have a superpower though.
>That fucking chess dimension where he can freely pull his victims in without fail

>playing JFA for the first time
>get to the case where Pearls is introduce
>"Oh great, another kawai uguu comic relief loli"
>my fucking face by the end of the game
Pearls is precious

I have no objections to that.

REMOVE PROSECUTORS THEY ARE SCUM AND MUST DIE

Fuck off chink

Pearls is what the other assistants should strive to be.

She's helpful, non intrusive, and gets shit done. She's good company unlike some of the others.

...

I have a sweet soft for Maya because of her bants
>that case where they investigate Blue Screens Inc.
>the google 10 chick who acts like a robot
>mentions something about machines getting angry or something
>"you heard her Nick, she is going to get angry"
That was a while ago but I remember losing my fucking shit

>lumping AAI, the worst AA game, with Trilogy and AAI2

Fuck off.

...

...

Why is Attorney Online such a meme?

>the worst AA game

That title belongs to Apollo's game

...

Because the only thing people want to do in that game is roleplay as their waifu.

>AAIfag defending his turd boring game
No one, absolutely NO one gives two fucks about AAI snorefest story.

AA4 had a much better story, and better case quality overall. Nothing was as bad as the kidnapped turnabout. And 4-1 was better than anything in AA4. Hell, AA4 isn't even the worst mainline (that goes to DD)

>having such shit taste
How do you even breathe?

But AAI has Cammy. What do you have to say to that?

You mean Feudal Los Angeles

>better case quality overall
I'm not sure if this is really true, Polly. Maybe we should watch the tape again and find out.

desu I don't even remember what AAI was about

something something smuggling shit
it was forgettable as hell and hated the last case dragging on forever

How did it turn so good after a very weak first game?

>Nothing was as bad as the kidnapped turnabout.
No FUCK YOU. You cannot say that any of Investigation's cases were worse than fucking Turnabout Serenade. Kidnapped Turnabout is definitely shit I'll give you that, but the main problem of that case comes mostly from its atrocious pacing and bad villain. Turnabout Serenade does nothing right and is painful to play because of how fucking asinine the whole thing is. I would say it's easily worse than Turnabout Big Top.

Case 4 was pretty good, and seeing loli Franny interact with Edgeworth was precious.

>much more compelling characters
>an actual interesting overarching story
>lots of development for Edgeworth, Lang, Kay and Gumshoe they didn't have in the first game
>every case ranges from great to good, nothing is mediocre or bad
I don't know how you go from the worst game in the franchise to the best just like that.

>AA4 had a much better story, and better case quality overall.
>Nothing was as bad as the kidnapped turnabout.

Except the two middle cases are easily worse. Dull characters, contrived situations, 4-3 absolutely fucking dragged on for no particular reason (granted last case in AAI is guilty of that too. Kidnapped is bad because the villain is hella obvious and not particularly fun to watch, but AA4 villains are mostly the same. I'd also say that AAI had a better supporting cast of characters overall, where AA4 had only bro-tier Gavin

>And 4-1 was better than anything in AA4.

Yes I do enjoy a case where an irrelevant character turns out to be a bad guy and it's supposed to be a big reveal but you couldn't give less of a fuck because it's the first case.
