The first game had some animation cancels you could do. Really cool. I think its in GR2. But you can jump, do an air kick, and right as it hits, you can jump again and bring out another kick. You could do this as long as you landed hits. It was really cool.
Also, you could do some really cool positioning by switching on and off gravity just as you jump. It would often make you do a flip and make you jump about 3x your normal jump height.
If you land that jump, Kat will hit the ground hard. When this happens, you can instantly do a finisher attack.
If you do finisher attacks, you can easilly chain a gravity kick into it and hit them almost instantaniously because of how close you are to them.
So you could do the gravity switch jump, land a couple animation cancel kicks, make a heavy land and lead into a finisher, then gravity kick. It was amazingly satisfying.
It is hard to explain, but you should try them out when you can.
Another cool thing, just as you gravity slide, jump as quick as you can.
It should make you do a back flip straight into the air. This is a good way to dodge attacks, but it also changes you into a gravity state. From here you can pull a gravity kick out, or wait until you make a heavy impact and lead into a finisher.
Also, you no doubt already know this, but if you dodge then attack, that attack becomes a finisher.
A lot of these things did not carry over into GR2. It is a shame, but lunar mode more than makes up for it.
