The game starts off pretty slow but it builds up. Allows for a shit ton of saves and highly suggest saving every 30 mins or before decisions. The game literally allows for branching. Think of it the better version of Until dawn in a sense of branching decisions/paths.

Summertime Saga is the best Western Porn VN by a mile.

I tried playing this recently. It's fantastic. I recommend the html over the ren'py version, however. There's weird changes between the two, although the option to save in ren'py is nice.

Annoying characters are kind of a requirement for these kind of stories, if everyone was level headed and saw eye to eye there would be no drama. Ash can be pretty frustrating but he's justified in his attitude, mostly. Besides, you can get most characters to act more or less how you want overall, so oftentimes they're exactly as annoying as you want them to be, Ash being the main exception because of his situation in the plot.

At the very least The Letter doesn't have anyone in the same ballpark as Emily.

I like Doctor Who I try to pretend the abundance of black people and gays in times and places where they don't belong is just a result of time fuckery

It's been a while but I don't remember it being too bad. Big Brother has some ridiculous grind which can be lessened once you know the most efficient way to do shit, but it's still way too fucking much for a porn game.

Porn game developers really need to learn to ride the fine line between "No gameplay at all" and "I'm trying to make a game by either putting in fucktons of grind to pad out the hours or by giving action controls so you can't jerk off and play at the same time". Drives me up the goddamn wall.
