MGS3

>meme1911

New Vegas. The game even touches upon its real-life history if you ask Joshua Graham about it, although (presumably for legal reasons), they don't name the gun or its creator, John Browning.

Beretta m9 is better

>tfw no dual-wielding mod

I can tell you the absolute worst is Call of Duty Waw, where you hold it in one hand and it sounds like a clicker.

>you hold it in one hand
That's how you were supposed to use it back then, that's literally the stance the military was teaching. If you see somebody using a handgun two-handed in a WW1 or WW2 game, that's most likely an anachronism.

Insurgency

The .45 was already obsolete in the mid-80s with the rising popularity of the 10mm. The only people holding on to that outdated cartridge are fudds and vidya obsessed nogunz whose favorite heroes weapon of choice was a fuddyfive.

Not the best but the KF2 1911 is pretty good.

it feels good to shoot on Killing Floor 2, but it's just an okay weapon

You can keep your Baretta bights. Have you ever shot one and got pinched by it? Fucking hurts

why is the clipazine backwards?

What made .45 obsolete were wonder-nines, not 10mm.
>vidya obsessed nogunz
guess where you are, faggot

>muh 10mm

Far cry 3 has best .45, can play 99% of the game with it no problem.

"EVERYTHING HERE IS CUSTOM MADE. WHERE'D YA FIND THIS?"

Noguns here, the what?

...

CZ-75 and all of its contemporaries are superior

special mention to the Browning HP

The bullet queue

the thing that holds the bang bang shooty food

>bullet queue

The gun juice tank

You know, the little apartment for all the little boomies

Resident Evil 4.

The magazine?
Isn't it the correct way?
Also Kek

L4D had my favourite. Made avoiding any of the more useful weapons a pleasure. The sound, the animations, all were punchy and agile. How they managed to fuck up the pistols in L4D2 so badly is beyond me, but mods fix that.

But the re4 .45 is significantly worse than the revolver.

>take shotgun primary
>1911 secondary
>be unstoppable killing machine at any range

>RE4
>Worst magnum in the game
>Doing it right

it's still significantly better weapon than most others, and especially a rare case of 1911 being anywhat useful.

Call of Duty 1-2

New Vegas: Honest Hearts

>BC2
>Shotgun slug sniping

I wanna go back, Sup Forums

good taste, I shoot my gf's CZ75 all the time

I think I very, very marginally prefer my Sig though, mostly because of the trigger

The greatest hand gun ever made.

aggressive recon with the Gol sniper magnum and sensor ball was GOAT

What game has the protagonist wield an M1911 as his main gun? he's allowed to use other guns but the M1911 needs to be the one used mainly, like the Beretta in the Max Payne games

>scientific evidence
>what is ballistic gel
>what are wound vectors
>what is muzzle velocity

i own and shoot a few guns, but ive never owned a pistol, and i was thinking about getting a CZ something for my first, probably a p09 cause its inexpensive fullframe 9mm and im tall enough 2 conceal

bad idea?

Big boss

That's not a luger

>>what is ballistic gel
a structure that is remarkably different from actual human body
>>what is muzzle velocity
a number that isn't everything

there's a reason your snowflake caliber was rejected by FBI

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. STCoP mod, and Far Cry 3. Fucking fantastic feeling shooting that thing

...

Yeah same reason any agency would reject any magnum caliber, most agents can't shoot it accurately in rapid succession.

I'd agree if it weren't for the fucking godawful decision to make Square the fire button, and to have it be sensitive at that

MGS3.

>any agency would reject any magnum caliber
Only pistol calibers.

don't own a P09, but I've shot one before and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

P01 is what my gf has and it's pure sex ergonomically plus a little bit smaller.

That being said, concealing a full size handgun can be a pain in the ass unless it's winter and you're wearing a coat.

What I'd recommend is going to your biggest LGS and dry firing a fingerfucking a few handguns until you find what feels right

>7+1
>in 2017

lololololoolloloollololololoollolololo

Agent 47

>I'd agree if it weren't for the fucking godawful decision to make Square the fire button
Lemme guess, you'd prefer it to be in one of the """triggers""" ?

Follow-up shots are important, yeah.

That's not a colt single action army revolver

Why is the M1911 so used in stealth videogames where using it is discouraged? Why even put it in?

>call of duty 2
>throwing up.jpg

Can any gun autists tell me which gun I always see in anime that has the pentagram on the grip? I know it's a real gun but I can't remember the brand name.

Because its tight as fuck my dude. Its like a 3rd cock.

Silverballers are suppressed, so they're OK to use in Hitman unless you really want to use fiber wire.

>im-fucking-plying it isn't the colt SAA

>Why is one of if not the most famous handgun of all time used in pop culture when historically available?

Makarov?

MGS3 doesn't discourage it. It allows for alternatives.

>Says colt Single Action army is the best gun ever made
>Wields Mateba's in MGSV for some reason

Why was this never touched on?

Because .45ACP is sub-sonic by default, the M1911 is still widely available and even in limited service use, and the stock 7-round mag works as a fine auto-balancer that stops players from spamming bullets at enemies' direction.

That would be infinitly more easy if you named the anime

And if the nine didn't exist they'd be using .380.

No, the Makarov is the one with the penis grip.

The M1911 was a Colt production. The 9mm pistol in the game is a Browning Hi-Power

>shoot dude from afar with silenced gun
>guard finds them before you can and ruins your Silent Assassin rating
fiber wire is better and more encouraged

>bights

Devil May Cry of course

.380 is literally 9x17mm.

9x19 Luger just ended up being the one 9mm design most countries adopted after WW1, and then became the western & NATO standard after WW2.

John Browning DESIGNED both 1911 and Hi-Power, and fucktons of other guns.

Why does Graham never stop cleaning his 1911s?

Tokarev?

Yeah but he's talking about .45 added by Honest Hearts not the 9mm in the base game.

daily carrying was one of the drawbacks i was thinking of, but i usually have a bag because i have to bike to work/everywhere and its the perfect size for a pistol. that and i want somrthing comfy/fun to shoot and the only compacts were in .380 and .40, thoroughly uncomfy guns

tfw only 20 so i cant molest any pistols yet ;_;

Depends on situation. You can always cap them up close without doing the fiber wire animation, though you can skip that too.

there were a LOT of 1911s

47's iconic guns are his Silverballers, which are based on the AMT hardballer.

Why 1911s so sexy?

it literally makes no sense considering how much better at the SAA ocelot probably is at that point

>most countries adopted after WW1
Like who? It became a trend after WW2 with HP.

.380 is quite a bit weaker, I think that's what he was talking about. 9mm Para is a sweet spot, really.

>John Browning DESIGNED ... Hi-Power
He started the design, but it was finished by another gunsmith.

Also the facts that, if I remember right Mateba 6's weren't even out until the mid 90s. Kojima probably just put them in because they look neat.

John Browning worked for Colt when he designed the M1911 (the .45 auto pistol of Honest Hearts). He later jumped ship to FN and co-designed the Browning Hi-Power (he died before the design was finalized).

>AMT hardballer
...which is an all-stainless steel 1911.

>tfw pricing out a 1911

Why are they so fucking expensive????

There is no true 1911 but the originals made by Colt, everything else is a clone.

youtube.com/watch?v=XBQL4yoL7Gk

It's the same mechanism, it's even externally the same. Stop being anal.

MGS4

Overpriced shit for collectors and fudds.

kojima never cared about historic continuity anyway

besides, he's right, mateba revolvers are pure sex

>What made .45 obsolete were wonder-nines, not 10mm.
And now, after 30 years, it is being shown more and more that the wonder-nines aren't so wonderful at penetration as originally thought, so the extra rounds turn out to be necessary just to stop a threat. And so the .45 has been making come back. Besides, .45 now has more choices in power factor than any other round.

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3.

Okay, you don't know what you are talking about, and I'm not gonna berate you too much, but here's how it really is.
Using pistols two handed is a technique that predates even the Weaver stance.
What you are referring to is point shooting.
You weren't "supposed to" hold the pistol one handed.

Stupidly expensive and over-penetrating. It's like recommending the BRNO7.5.
