I think so, didn't really notice any improvements but noticed a few things being a lot worse.

Yeah I never really had a problem with the vanilla game but when I tried GMDX a couple things I noticed like needing master computer skill to hack some things on the first level (not sure if they expected you to go back and explore after getting your skill up that high but it was pointless by then), going out the back of a building and taking cover behind a prop while being pursued but the AI still knowing where I am (not sure if that happened in the vanilla game or if it was a problem with GMDX but it didn't seem to make the AI better).

There was probably more but I played with it a long time ago and just remember not really being impressed or feeling the need to use it the next time I played.

NP, it wasn't anything serious for me like you said and I remember being able to finish the game without any major issues but the way they advertise it was "Deus Ex, just improved!" seemed a bit exaggerated.

The vanilla game isn't perfect and I appreciate what some modders do in trying to fix them up but I find that they usually end up making it worse overall.

Anyone know any other games with this level of story telling and level design? I'm still working my way through Deus Ex but I don't know if I can go back to mindless corridors and meme-tier antagonists.
