No Man's Sky Upcoming Update MULTIPLAYER

A page on NoMansSky.com was previously up for only a few minutes. Although password protected, the following was found in it's meta description.

>Introducing Update 1.3 Update 1.3, Atlas Rises, brings a brand new and overhauled central storyline, portals, a new procedural mission system, trade improvements, system economies, joint exploration and more. This update marks the one year anniversary of No Man’s Sky, and a lot has changed. Please see Pathfinder and Foundation for previous major updates.

>implying anybody would even check the page for 3 minutes
nice """""""leak"""""""

i'm still not buying this shit

YASSS QUEEN SLAAAAAAAAAY

Good promotion thread, Sorensteinbergoldman.

>yfw didn't fall for No Man's Sky

...

>mfw I didn't fall for No Man's Sky

...

Yeah I knew it was good be bad.
I warned my buddies about it, but they didn't listen.

You don't understand this is the best game ever, you won't be able to finish it in a billion years.

This is more desperate than Battleborn.

...

So apparently they're using the Paradox Games business model.

...

...

Now only if this was all out upon release...

>didn't fall for No Man's Sky
>didn't fall for Scam Citizien

They're too late. I've moved on to elite dangerous. Bulding a base with friends and chilling in caves while it's acid rain might be fun though. It is all the gane was missing to make it playable for me

...

> Joint exploration
> You hire an NPC that follows you around, wanders off a bit when you start gathering stuff and ocassionally collects resources for you

>bought no memes sky
>actually have fun with it occasionally

it's alright, just over hyped

>When you remember all the money you didn't waste

...

Because this is Sup Forums, a place where everyone is either a retard, a child, or both, nobody has paid attention to how far this game has come in a year - it's actually pretty good now, and the new patch just looks excellent.

But please, by all means, continue posting your shitty anime pictures and parroting bullshit that you heard on Reddit.

...

No its not lmao

So are there actual enemy factions or pirates to fight on planet with the epic space battles they promised?

stay tuned until 2020

gotta LOVE steam refunds

...

...

...

my lebbit-dar is just too good

No Man's Sky gets multiplayer!

That is literally like the company you work for hiring another person to work alongside you doing the same boring repetitive tasks for the rest of your life.

Perhaps underhyped now

I relentlessly shit on this game, but I'm glad to see they're improving it. I'm still more glad that I didn't buy it as Starbound's development was a good indicator of how all these procedural space games would go.

Maybe it'll be worth playing in a year

Not gonna lie having someone to shoot the shit with at a shitty job makes the day to day more bearable.

You know what makes it even more bearable than that?

Doing something else.

still being the same boring shit it always has been... there is tons of other games that deserve more attention instead of this boring ass game.

>mfw I bought it to show my friend how shit it was and then refunded it

...

...

...

...

anime is for virgins

...

But there already WAS multiplayer, it did't work because servers were overloaded with all those people playing Sean's game!

Fuck you 4channer

Local store has a huge stack of physical copies for €10.

Should I?

no

But didn't they claim the game already released with multiplayer?!?!?

I tried it with all the new patches and sheeeiit. It was still a terrible and boring game.

It was always going to be boring but there are still people who would gladly spend hundreds of hours just exploring procedurally generated planets

...

...

Yeah there were some lies about that.
Physical boxes had cover stickers over the Network Play icon though.

how did you load meta tags if the page was password protected?

pic related

...

You mean that thing they said would be in the game when it released

It's probably the quickest I'v ever dropped a game in my life.
>start it up
>nice little intro, big sense of wonder being stranded with a broken ship
>planet is ok visually
>nice music
>err why are all the animals no bigger than a moose?
>start getting materials
>inventory full
>next hour is me trying to manage too many materials for a tiny inventory
>warping to planets may as well be loading screens
Never played it again.

I just don't understand how the majority of gamers don't automatically assume more quantity = less quality.

Honestly, I'm probably going to give it a try

It's really fun to just chill the fuck out and fuck around on some planets in this game.

...

Since i saw the rain of threads about it.

Honestly, after this update, I was wondering if getting it for 20 bucks or so was a good deal.

>brings a brand new and overhauled central storyline, portals, a new procedural mission system, trade improvements, system economies, joint exploration and more.
So NMS is basically a real game now?

>Procedual mission system
They haven't learned a thing in the last year.

Tbh they should have just given each player a solar system with more detail, rather than a whole galaxy of shit.
>8-10 planets
>each planet a different environment, snow/ice/volcanoes/tropical etc
>more built up areas on each planet and more civilians
>moons and meteors
>better faction system, maybe the ability to slowly take over a planet

Underrated comet

...

...

essentially
handcrafted content > QUADRILLION RANDOM STUFF

IT'S UP

nomanssky.com/atlas-rises-update/

I don't have a reaction image to accurately show how much fun Sup Forums was at the time of release

So the big new thing is basically the Orz by way of those things from the Star Control Origins trailer?

>FLOATING ORBS

FUCKING MULTIPLAYER!!!??!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

BALLS

BASED SEAN

>While interaction with others is currently very limited, this is an important first step into the world of synchronous co-op in No Man’s Sky.

>While interaction is very limited, VOIP (Voice over IP) allows proximity based voice chat with other nearby explorers.

>Visualised by strange floating orbs

HAHAHAHAHA

It's just voice chat, and they couldn't be fucked to even have player models. Voice chat in a game that has no actual multiplayer game play.

It's a glorified spectator mode

Fucking christ

...

more like minecraft

all those orbs can interact with enviroment

Does it still run like ass though

APOLOGIZE

youtube.com/watch?v=5328iuzHw-w
Apologize right now, Sup Forums.

Oh yes, glowing orbs can team up to make shitty rock formations, and stare at the shitty randomized wildlife together, what fun!

Where is the actual gameplay though? This is literally just the ability to spectate on each others grinding in this shitty, empty game.

BASED SEAN

There is space fighting (which got improved). And ship buying/selling.
That's like saying Bloodborne multiplayer is just staring at shitty framerates together.

This shit looks so fucking cool

Holy shit. Can i play this version right now?

just the players are orbs not te ships or exocraft
or any in game acions thats all

I-Is this a shill?

No baby I've platinumed this game on my ps4 and pirated it on PC

in an hour I think

Never forget.

What are you talking about? hahaha just buy No Man's Sky bro, its 300 times better now haha

im legitimately excited too
sorry that we arent shilling some stupid bullshit like gravity rush 2 or nier tomatomata

nice, will pirate later

...

Not everyone on Sup Forums is a mindless drone that parrots the loudest opinion. Surprise surprise, some people in a NMS thread actually like NMS and want to talk about it.

The shills are here... Again.
And dont tell me this is a loner son¡gger.
