Gaming in University

Listen up faggots. Unlike most of you I actually enjoy playing video games, and I would like continue doing it in university. Sadly, I just found out that I'll have limited space and time to do so. I have:

>large gaming PC tower
>decent laptop
>PS4 Pro
>Dreamcast w/ VGA + the best games ripped
>Galaxy Tab A
>Galaxy Note 4 (rooted, can emulate plenty of shit with controller mount)

I wanted to bring all of this shit, but unfortunately I'll be living in a room with 3 other assholes. What's the best setup I could make to bring at least half of this shit? I'm majoring in English because I'm a pseudo intellectual, so I'll need at least 2 devices for proper writing. I also might want to record myself playing games down the line.

>actually living on campus

spot the retard

no smokes for you

Who still smokes?

men

Also,

Laptop, PS4, Phone + Tablet. Wait to get the other shit later once you get some room and know what you're doing. Godspeed.

>going to university
>majoring in English
>thinking about becoming a streamer

kys

Ikr, it's like OP wants to make bad decisions.
Where does a degree in English even get you now? I'm actually curious.

I suppose he could teach English in a foreign country.

>living in a room with 3 other assholes
Jesus, what shithole university are you going to that forces you to live like cattle?

...

>not having your own room

HAHAHA
is this an american thing?

OP is a fucking dipshit. Let's have a NIGGER hate thread.

>majoring in english

>going to uni
>still playing games
???? i would get a job or something to get AWAY from games, life is better than you think

retards who fell for the cooperate brain washing.

Good thing real men like you are still around son, keep smoking and you will be a real man just like him. NO! YOU WILL BE MORE OF A MAN THAN HE WILL EVER BE JUST PLEASE, NEVER STOP SMOKING

I brought my tower to uni but i had my own room also it just meant i never went to the kitchen to socialise, id recommend the laptop, the ps4 and tablet

>majoring in english
Switch to something employable like chem E or comp sci asap, at least get a minor if you're obstinate

If you think you can fit it, bring your tower. Otherwise I'd go with the laptop (useful for schoolwork as well as vidya) and maybe the ps4 pro or the dreamcast

mororns who got peer pressured.

Both 1- and 2-person rooms are pretty common. Have never heard of 4 people in one room though.

Well the PS4 is worthless, so just bring your tower + Dreamcast

>majors in English
Why are you setting yourself up for failure?

Usually in America for your freshman year they force you into a two-person so you can """socialize""". After that you can do whatever. Only masochists sign up for four-person rooms, but they exist in most places I've seen

>tfw had my own bedroom, shower and toilet

feels good not being a burger

Chem E is not for everyone matey i couldnt hack it 30 hours contact time isnt my idea of a fun uni experience

I'm staying at my parents house 2nd year of uni, this is 100% normal here, maybe 5% of people rent a sharehouse with at least their own room.

Fuck no privacy.

>going to university so you can have """fun"""
Chem E is pretty high workload, though. Probably not the thing for our budding English major. If you're not an idiot comp sci is pretty face-rollingly easy

>I'm staying at my parents house 2nd year of uni
Wait, what? Your parents' house is within commute range of your uni yet you somehow decided to spend money to live somewhere else (and probably worse) for the 1st year?

>paying thousands of dollars per year to have fun

the state of brainlets

Some universities force you to have on-campus housing your freshman year. Knew a guy when I went to uni whose parents lived within walking distance of the campus and he had to pay for an empty room he never lived in.

I agree, wish they would all fucking die

Do you still have to pay for it?

What, seriously? You're forced to pay for a fucking room even if you don't need it? What kind of greedy-ass scam is that shit?

Out of curiosity, what country is that?

Unironically yes. Most of my burger friends have lived or live in shared rooms at uni, it's fucking inhumane and I'd honestly want to kill myself.

Avoid gaming, so bring laptop and tablet. Stream stuff during free time in the summer and vacation.
Quick advice: do extracurriculars in your area of study and look for internships ASAP. Having work experience before you graduate helps alot. Having just a degree barely helps in getting jobs.

English isn't smooth-sailing either.

I read at least twenty texts a month during my final semester to prepare for my capstone thesis, not counting the twenty-page essays I had due every few weeks.

Would rather come out of uni having enjoyed myself, made close friends for life and meet the girl I want to spend the rest of my life with than go through 4 years of hating my life for a high paying job

>What's the best setup I could make to bring at least half of this shit?

wat, just bring every fucking thing.

put PS4/DC in living room, everything else in your own room, if they start wrecking/dirtying your shit in the living room then bring it back in, where's the problem?

>Usually in America for your freshman year they force you into a two-person so you can """socialize""".

fucking hell, a year of having to time my faps and sleep in the same room with another guy, what a nightmare.

At no point in my post did I suggest that I was living out of home.

>money is literally the only thing that matters

Yeah. Could probably avoid it if you complain enough but uni administration is usually full of scumbags.

The scam of American higher education.

good thing I'm intelligent enough to have a great time AND get a good degree

>PSTV
>pocket projector

What more do you need?

I lived in a 200-250 sq ft box with another guy my first couple semesters and managed ps2, Xbox, GameCube, Wii, laptop, 360, and massive desktop PC. It's really not hard.

Money certainly isn't the only thing that matters, but contrary to popular belief it does actually matter

You're a lucky guy mate hope you have a good life ;)

Vita has almost no games I want.

Why bring both the Gamecube and Wii when the Wii can do whatever the GCN can?

>projecting this hard
i think it'll be too unstable with the walls moving because chad is fucking his GF

Capitalistic uni faggot detected. Enjoy your government enforced homosexuality. sage

Wii came out while I was already there at Uni.

Think before you post big guy.

You can project onto the ceiling and game on your back

people who were young when it was still cool

>implying he has a ceiling

enjoy chad selling your vidya for weed money while he fucks the girl you were supposed to spend the rest of your life with

>I just found out that I'll have limited [...] time to do so

What else did you expect famalam?

I started when I was 16 years old and wanted to kill myself. Cigarettes feel pretty good and the threat of dying at 60 doesn't seem that bad when you're convinced you're going to kill yourself anyway. Now I'm 19 and still addicted, but I also still want to die, so it's a mixed bag.

I knew that I'd have limited time, but know I know I'll have limited space as well as time. I could have worded that better.

Just bring the tower, if your roommates complain just say you need it for homework and shit. Also let them play every now and then, or do local co-op. They can't get mad at you if they benefit too.

An English degree might not be exactly high in demand, but if you study anything simply in the hopes to get the big bucks, you will be absolutely miserable.

Luckily Computer Engineering interests me very much

> I would like continue doing it in university.

literal underage

I'm 22.

Laptop and play cult classics. You wont need powerful PC for that anyway.

But you should actually focus on studies anyway. I dont know how it looks like in your country but in mine we always had around 32 hours per week of lectures, labs and such with lot of time spent on studying at home. But again, I was (actually still am, just continuing on phd to get at least minimal wage job) studying physics.
