Rosy is was a thing before the Sonic Adventure games, she was in CD and has every right to be a playable character. This is coming from someone who HATES female playable characters. If anyone deserves it, its Rosy.

She only got a playable moveset in the modern era. Putting her in the game with her hammer would be as appropriate as giving Sonic a homing-attack.

Why do people hate sonic's friends so much? The only time they really suck is in Sonic adventure games where they don't do the "go fast" gameplay and it's been over a decade since those games.

act 1 of each returning stage is remarkably similar to the original with a handful of new things stardust speedway and metallic madness seemed the most different, Taxman and co really put the most love into the CD stages
act 2 is really new for most of the stages lava reef 2 looked pretty ordinary IIRC, but I can't remember and I'm finding video of every other stage right now looking it up

but people were always more interested in seeing totally new stages since they're not actually interested in nostalgia pandering since generations already fucking happened, they just want something that Sega would release as a proper Sonic 4 (well, if they kept numbering, Sonic 5)

mania seems about as long as s3&k with less level bloat and harder, more creative bosses.

the downside is repurposed stages, but many of these are remixed pretty thoroughly. the parts that aren't are still a bunch of "best of" set-pieces + new stuff.

i'm a little worried about some of the level design, but the streamer didn't look great anyway.

idk it seems easily better than s3&k and that's one of my favorite games.

As far as forces is concerned, they only showed 1 level from each play style. On top of that I loved Lost World, Colors, and Generations.

I can't imagine Forces being as dull as those E3 levels made it out to be the whole way through. Generations and Unleashed were excellent at set pieces and had fun locales. I bet Forces will still not be that great but will be way better than people are expecting.
