>Unfortunately, outside of Japan and to some extent France, Gravity Rush 2‘s release has been largely ignored. While it didn’t seem like a sequel was in the cards anytime soon, regardless of how well it sold, sales are still an major factor in determining the future of the franchise. However, perhaps all is not lost.

The first one didn't sell shit and it got a sequel. The second was fantastic and a few more people played it.

probably because its still 60 dollars
i would have bought it long ago if it dropped

GR is just so boring. It such such beautiful aesthetics, likable characters, the music and the gravity powers are interesting but the gameplay is just completely dull.

It's a classic case of Japan being creative, but having no idea how to channel it.

>Vita "classic"
>no one talks about gameplay
>no one talks about level design
>no one talks even about the characters themselves
>Kat posting nonstop
I wonder why no one cares.

Japs have bad taste.

It's on sale right now on PSN

It's been half price all summer

That's because as games these are kinda shit. It has great atmosphere and characters, but actually playing them is pretty bad.

They need to completely rework the base gameplay from a different direction.

The director already said he'll male another if he can think of anything, and that he'll probably wait until the next gen of consoles to make it

Guess Kat will have to live on the streets and be poor now! Haha
I bet she will sell her body to old men for food!

Only thing about the game I know about is that it's anime and that people post the main girl constantly. I never hear people talking about the game itself, so I never thought it'd be worth playing.

Lost my PS4 a little while ago so I didn't even know
If I buy another one any time soon I'll be picking it up

The original GR was a niched weeb game on a system that was singlehandedly supported by the niched weeb gamers. Taking said niched weeb game away from said niched weeb system/gamers and giving it to the casuals could have only ended in one predictable way.

$40 digital? Pass.

PlayStation systems are weeb systems regardless of it either being niche or poplar.

They should just give it away as the PSN monthly game

There's no way that GR is getting another entry, and I'm okay with it. The second game had a fairly definitive, happy ending and the story is wrapped up quite nicely for what it's worth. I'd love the series to have another entry, but at this point, 2 is good.

That's cause the game was trash

GR2 just wasn't that much fun.

Kat is a great character and the world, story, and characters, and music are all nice, but after the initial wow factor of flying everywhere it just gets super repetitive.

...

What game?

already uninstalled that shit ages ago amigo

>"I get my knowledge about people who plays video games from Sup Forums"
Your first mistake.

>your ass
Got anything to back that up?

Played the original when it was released on Vita. Found it extremely boring and I think it's overrated.
Kat can stay in her dirty sewer home.

It's not that different elsewhere either. It just goes from blatant waifu lusting to outright ignoring it either because it's mediocre or because anime is icky I literally can't even ugh #woke. Popular Vita games tend to be this way by rule, the papercraft platformer I can't even remember the name comes to mind.

People actually discuss the gameplay and story at times, though.

I love Gravity Rush to death but at this point I'll be ecstatic if it can get one more game that refines what 2 accomplished (and perhaps adds Raven as regularly playable) before calling it quits. I already wanted a sequel after playing the first and I got that so all's well if 2's where it ends I suppose but I'd really like to see one more game if at all possible.

>shitting on Gravity Rush AND Tearaway

We can't be friends.

As well it should be. Generic brown waifus don't make up for low-tier gameplay.

everything besides flying was bland as a motherfucker

I'm glad you're upset over whatever weeb trash this is

Games were garbage, kat was a great fap though

I was disapointed with the new areas in GR2. Also most of the side missions were shit. Lunar Mode is great thoughm

i think if you look up his twitter you will find it, didn't save the post do

This article was posted 3 days before the game came out.
We're in august and we've had costumes from PSO2, Nier: Automata, a manga chapter and a collab with Let It Die.

He also brings up new hardware, when it comes to a new title, hinting a possible new entry if the PS5 happens.

Well, I didn't see it. I stuck around these threads for a while to see if a PSTV would be worth it.

completely agree with you. GR is easily one of the most creative games of the current generation but... The gameplay is trash despite having very interesting mechanics.

Didn't the devs already say they had no intention of making a third game though?

gr2 was disappointing honestly

You. A faggot and have shit taste

No they said they were going to take a break and waiting for new game gmick to express things so ps5

Gravity Rush is one of those open world superhero type games, would've been contemporary to something like Spiderman 2 back in the 6th gen. The core of the gameplay revolves around free shifting of gravity, though in reality the most use you'll see of it is dicking around of your own design. Level design tends to be pretty simplistic when it does factor in, combat is interesting from a spacing and positioning perspective but is otherwise a bit rudimentary in the first game and is only slightly less so in the sequel, and side missions tend to revolve around either simple mini stories or fun but brief challenge missions. The second game does a much better job of making the world feel lively compared to the technical limitations imposed on the first game but visual style, music, and character interactions are uniformly strong across the two games. So basically, it's aesthetically strong but merely adequate in terms of gameplay. I can understand someone dismissing the series but I, and most of its fans I assume, certainly find it to be a charming series in spite of its shortcomings.

i want grfags to defend this.

stop shilling this reddit tier weeb trash

We don't talk about that episode.

I liked it only people who have autism complain.

I'm a huge GRfag but even I can't defend those samey interiors, cramped level design and abhorrent camera work straight out of 1997.

Sounds sincere. Thanks.

The boss was great.

Combat should've been more interesting. They could've done more with the "Flying" like some more "instant" moves that weren't combat related a la Infamous.
