I see shitposters have moved on from Splatoon 2 to Sonic Mania.
Sonic Forces? How can I be disappointed if I don't want it?
When was the last time a new Sonic game wasn't a disappointment?
2015 with Lost World.
2012. And it technically wasn't a Sonic game, instead appropriating the brand for sales.
Sonic 2
>2015
>Lost World
Christ you're retarded and have shit taste
A huge disappointment to those that expected too much out of the game, yeah
>don't like a new game? You are a shitposter
die
Kirby is shit
>loads of hype and love for Mania
>PC version delayed to curtail piracy
>endless shitposting follows
Every single time
Ah, Sup Forums pulling the negative card as usual I see.
Listen Sup Forums, Sonic Mania started development in early 2016. If the game had begun production earlier, there would be far more zones. Considering they put a lot of love into the visuals, level design, animations, special stages and music, I would say that 12 levels is perfectly generous for a game released in 2017 for under $20.
What would you rather buy, a love letter to both SEGA and Sonic fans for $20, or modern Sonic rehashes for $60? Answer wisely. If you choose the latter or disagree that Sonic Mania isn't a love letter worth buying, here is a spoiler to Advice Mania, coming VERY soon.
Kill yourself.
This, but unironically.
>Started development 2016
Source??
I'd rather buy Sonic Forces.
There are various interviews stating so. Even if I was wrong and it was actually 2015 as originally stated in one interview, that's still more love gone into the game than most games you can buy for $20. Especially one being published by SEGA of all companies.
Yeah early 2015 I can believe not early 2016 because that wouldn't make sense
I love how you fags can never name 5 flaws about that game.
You're just pissy that it isn't a braindead boost2win game or nostalgia pandering garbage.
It controls like shit, it has a running button, the level design is garbage and doesn't serve parkour at all, the physics are even more off than usual, what the fuck have they even done to homing attack.
Oh yeah, the perma-spindash thing was dumb as hell too. Essentially boost.
I haven't had this much sodium since last year's election.
Keep it coming, fags.
Alright I can
>Parkour is poorly implemented
>Uninspired level design
>Frustrating or boring gimmicks
>Homing attack is janky for using on multiple enemies and the kick is just there and only has it's use for just a couple of enemies
>Deadly six are very bland and unlikable villains and their boss fights suck
>Writing is complete shit
>Level themes are bland
>Shits on what sonic was really supposed to be about giving him a run button and the game never requires you to actually walk so you're always holding it meaning that the parkour can activate with you wanting to
>Music is very weak overall
I can name some more but I'll stop there, go fuck yourself
Ye ye. Enjoy Sonic (deviantart) Forces.
>It controls like shit
>it has a running button
Oh no it has a running button what a tragedy. Not to mention the irony since they added the run button exactly to make platforming more precise.
Of course it's ok when a 3D Mario game adds a run button :^)
>the level design is garbage and doesn't serve parkour at all
If you're a casual taking 5 minutes each level, then yeah.
Using the parkour will allow you to get through the stages much faster.
>the physics are even more off than usual
>MUH PHYSICS
(Honestly should stop here because you know people are retarded when they bring the "physics" argument as if all games should have the same physics)
>what the fuck have they even done to homing attack
Making it something that rewards you for not spamming A.
>Oh yeah, the perma-spindash thing was dumb as hell too. Essentially boost.
How the fuck is this a problem?
Basically you were bad at the game and hate that it was a new thing.
Imagine if Mario fans were bitching about "muh physics" or "muh new moves" on every new game.
>vague criticism that can be applied to literally every game
But I'm glad that you also posted this:
>Shits on what sonic was really supposed to be about giving him a run button and the game never requires you to actually walk so you're always holding it meaning that the parkour can activate with you wanting to
So I know that you're one of those "people"
By the way if you don't want to parkour then don't hold the button like a moron.
You remind me of the retarded reviewers:
>Of course it's ok when a 3D Mario game adds a run button :^)
I have never seen anybody say this even on Sup Forums. Stopped reading there.
Of course you did, you're just a bandwagoner faggot with zero critical thinking.
Not him but
>zero critical thinking
Says the one who thinks lost world is a good game, it's a shallow attempt at being Mario but has nothing that makes the 3D Mario games good
Physics is a huge part of Sonic games. The games aren't just about going fast, but getting to that point. Spring Yard Zone exemplifies how important physics are in the series and how it defines it.
why would you ever get excited about a sonic game
Mania literally looks like a romhack. Isn't it like 70% remixed levels?
>Game is not released
>makes dozens of threads saying it's a blunder.
>not a shitposter.
Kill yourself.
Physics is a huge part of every platformer. They serve the level design, not the other way around.
You can't expect that such a platforming heavy game such as Lost World controls the same as, say, Adventure.
In fact, I'd say that most (if not all) complaints about Lost World are due to this pre-conceived notion that Sonic should play like "this or that way".
I'm not talking about Adventure.
