Let this be a harsh reminder why pre-ordering and buying games before trying them is a bad idea.

How does this say that at all? Don't preorder games because they might be delayed? The game would have been delayed if you pre-ordered or not, if anything this just gives people more time to think and pre-ordering has had no negative consequence at all.

They had deadlines to meet before development stops and patching begins, They clearly met those otherwise it would've been delayed sooner, If the game is fine for consoles, It would be fine for PC and any minor issues for all platforms are fixed by patches,
