Having SSB Goku and SSB Vegeta be separate slots is fucking stupid as shit, anyone who defends this can never talk shit about the function meme. Since this is literally color swaps, except they play differently now. Really should've just dropped Black and Hit on us, hell even Caulifla. Revealing them now was horrible timing, this is not what people want to see right now.

Also way too much android-cell arc characters, give us some Gotenks, Dabura, Broly, Ginyu, Roshi, Tien, Yamcha etc whoever.

There is an updated version coming out, I'm still holding out that these are just transformations for Goku and Vegeta, but I doubt it.

Considering Android 16 gets his own what-if story it makes sense for there to be a lot of android saga characters for him to interact with.

You have to at least admit that revealing SSB Vegeta and Goku now is HORRIBLE timing. Like at least flesh out the roster more, or drop other Super Characters first. This is just shitty timing.

To an American fan, sure, but Japanese fans love Super Saiyan Blue and are super hyped about the game. They're the target audience.

Does anyone else not want Vegito or Gogeta now that we have SSB Goku and Vegeta? I know my reasoning is irrational, but it'd just bug me to know another character that is an extension of Vegeta and Goku take up another valuable slot. Though I guess I am hypocritical since I do want Kid Goku in.

Frieza arc is more popular than Cell arc, unless you mean in NA. But this is targeted more towards the japs, if that one user said about SSB being really popular there.

Not really, I just don't want two literal waste of slots and palette swaps taking up valuable roster space in a game with an already limited roster. This isn't Xenoverse or Tenkaichi, hell it's not even MvC2. In a game with around 20-30 characters, that is annoying and sets a bad precedent. If you wanted Super content then you should just be annoyed at Hit or Black or whoever not just being announced instead of wasting our time with this.

Hey I like DB and in terms of making money or drawing in potential non fighting game fans than DB is the perfect anime to make a fighting game out of. But in terms of characters with varied movesets than yeah it's pretty limited, there are exceptions like Gotenks, Buus, etc to have really creative styles. But other than that you have to rely on fighting game archetypes to make a character, visually the characters all use beams and ki blasts (I mean how many beam supers are there so far). That's not even getting into how similar so many characters look from so many characters donning an orange gi, to a bunch of characters looking identical to Goku would make the game visually boring.

Just about any other shounen with varied powers or even character appearances would make a more interesting fighting game. i.e. Yu Yu Hakusho, HxH, OPM.

I'd say it's because the appearance of Super characters don't preclude certain characters from appearing in the game like the MCU does the X-men, but man they really deconfirmed Tao for two palette swaps. And fuck off to anyone saying nobody wanted Tao anyway, yeah and I could say nobody wants Asura, Jin Saotome, Darkstalkers characters, etc anyway and that the MCU are a ton more popular.

Japan is really hesitant to replace VA's. Goku's VA apparently got really fed up in the black arc with having to voice Goku, Black, and Gohan, which is why Goten wasn't in it at all
