How to know a game will be shit
>lovecraftian

>cover art is a bunch of anime girls, all with their mouth open, except one is winking and one looks angry/annoyed

>dieselpunk
>steampunk

That's pretty specific user. Have any examples?

>[popular game]-like

Here's a shit game.

>RPG

>one looks angry/annoyed
No annoyed grills here senpai, just a bunch of happy girlls having a good time.
That's why I asked about examples, since it's too specific

Here's an even shittier game.

>bunch of anime girls, all with their mouth open
Close but no cigar

Honestly do these games have actually gameplay in them? Or are they meant to be played one handed?

>made by nu-blizzard or nu-activison

underrated, the one exception is Deus Ex.

>tons of humor!

>choices matter

>retro
>homage
>spiritual successor

Senran Kagura is a 3d arcade beat em up. It's kinda fun tbqh, and the characters are pretty well written. Not much going on aside from that, the 70% of the game is fan service and shit.
No idea about Neptunia, I've never played any.

senran kagura is musou
neptune is a party base rpg.

Steam tags appropriated by the company who made the game.

>female protagonist

what's wrong with female protagonists?

Eversion is a good game, though.

Nothing. Everything wrong with the tag, and the people who need it. The companies who's focus is "that crowd" disregard aspects of making the game great to feed the egos of the feminists nu-males and the women who don't play video games but bitch about them.

Girls won't talk to me so I hate them all. >:-(

>sequel streamlined to be accessible to new player.s

OOHH ok I get what you mean.

Good thing you called out how it's commonly executed and not blame the concept itself.

What about Inversion?
