Katawa Shoujo General #3346

>Katawa Shoujo General #3346

How

>a thread full of people minding their own business and keeping to themselves on an entirely different board
>this is a problem ree

>you will die before cripple fucking simulator general ends.

For the same reason that one guy had 40,000 plays of "Linken Park - In the End" on iTunes

Some people are complete comfort zone addicts and will never poke a toe outside theirs.

Even worse, they lost count and started over eventually. If they had kept count it would be way higher.
VNs are not videogames.

They stopped discussing the game ~3200 threads ago, it's literally a pseudo-facebook used by a clique of ironic weaboo teenagers now.

you fucking retard you're going to make this thread everytime ?
don't you have better shiposting to do ?

as far as generals that should be dead go, it's at least doing a lot better than sc2

This. They don't even discuss the game. The general has no reason to exist and I'm surprised it hasn't been banned by the mods since there's absolutely no game discussion.

I think the bigger feat for /vg/ is the fact that the Sonic general is nearing 1000 and hasn't shit itself. The worst they've done is make a couple of dumb OCs. I don't think I saw a single name or tripfag either time I peeked.

>trying to shill your thread here
The state of these people, holy shit

Tripfags have died out in general over the years, not sure why. There used to be a LOT.

what happened to starcraft 2? Did people stop playing and switch to LoL and other Moba's?

>Bloodborne still has a general over two years after being released

truly the GOAT

>/gw2g/

>KS came out over five years ago

jesus christ

who cares

Probably because of the purge. I was still surprised that I didn't see a single one.

Every thread I join in /vg/ is rarely related to the game. It's just a big circlejerk. I wanted to see people discussing Xcom but instead I get people going "Hey Tripfag 1, did you see Tripfag 2's picture of Jake?"
Jake...? What? Who is that? What is this? What's going on?

I want to hug Hanako very thigtly and kiss her everytime she tries to complain.

Only five?

This is what happens when a community turns into an echo chamber, it becomes a pseudo-Facebook.

You might not like it when Anonyous comes in a thread about a game you enjoy and calls it gay and boring, but he's all that's standing between that thread and Facebook.

it became some weird /s4s/ colony with a lot of autistic kpop fans mixed in

>time passes

Woow, it's like time is moving forward or something

Spotted the KS general poster HAHAHAHAHAHA, still butthurt you got quarantined 5 years later huh?

This /vg/ is fucking shit that rarely stays on topic. The only thing I use it for is /smtg/ since they actually discuss the games there.

They had to be cordoned off there. Think of it as "the problem we might have had if we listened to the waahhh censorship flooders"

I played this game for like 2 hours once.

I always said I'm going to finish and bang the burny but I always forget.

What is there left to discuss after that many threads? No offense, just genuinely curious.

Jake Solomon is the lead dev xcom 2. Xcg, compared to the rest of vg at least, isn't that bad, it's certainly not the best, but there's plenty of worse generals.

Nothing, it's genuinely blogfagging. The undertale general is literally "look at my OCs and matpat tier theroies", it's a fucking mess. Ironically most of the generals where discussion actually is on the game stay on page 7 or lower.

It isn't, that's just an illusion.

>undertale general
I was hoping the port to the PS4 would've provided more content or at least a finished hard mode which might have rekindled actual discussion but alas I'm a faggot and was wrong.

Pretty much. Starcraft 2 just didn't catch on like Brood War did, and there wasn't enough money in it. A lot of the big channels either quit entirely or switched to mobas.

Blizzard royally fucked up everything involved with SC2. The custom map settings scene was dead on arrival because of the arcade, the multiplayer meta was stagnant half the time and devolved into mindless build orders and army blobs, the community kind of sucked in general, they sold the fucking campaign piecemeal over half a decade and botched the story. Just lots of bad design decisions, all in the middle of the DotA-clone explosion.

Starcraft has the tekken problem too, where the average lazy person is just too intimidated by the sheer amount of shit they have to learn and do. You stick a modern 12 year old in front of SC2 and they'll just get frustrated, but even a little kid can learn to control one character with 4 buttons. Custom maps were the life-blood of casual Starcraft but they got greedy and shot themselves in the foot.

If they banned generals because they stopped discussing games, half of /vg/ would be banned.

The Final Fantasy general is the worst. It's all discussion on a single shitty phone game, and hardly anything else on the entire rest of the series. FFXIV has its own general, why not whatever that phone game is called?

You guys don't know the pain of a general until you've seen /tlhg/ or /tf2g/ on trash

The only good generals are Dwarf fortress and rogue like
Prove me wrong

>sc2general

this

this general right here is the one that embodies the true meaning of a dead game and the pain that follows

holy fuck

>LOL Thread #6129
the fuck's your point

/smtg/ is pretty good.

dragon age general is one of the worst

And it's still not as bad as /xivg/
I'm not even joking when I say I think /xivg/ is the worst general on the entire board

If you numbered each thread on Sup Forums that was the same shit "what's the Sup Forumserdict?" and other minute by minute thread they'd be in the millions.

This board is more "the same" than /vg/ by a longshot. At least you discuss games over there.

Every thread they make bumps another thread that is most probably about current real video games off the catalog. They've had their time. Discord is a thing.

>last moments

no she didn't... ;_;

What's the best general to become a regular in if I want to erp with cute boys?

>Slablands General
How much did they progress in the last 3 years again?

Games with a huge modding fanbase like STALKER, fallout or mountain blade can keep themselves alive due to that, games with randomly generated content or sandboxs like DF or rimworld where supposed to live "forever" due to updates and the fact every playtrugh is different, but sadly both of those generals died, is funny but the most active generals are not only waifuhshit but OC general or sucking the dick of a tripfag (fallout general after the release of4)

Last I checked they weren't even talking about the game, not even esports shit. And that was 3 years ago.

She's still alive.

>arms doesnt have general anymore after only first month

Nothing but complain about fenoxo.

/bbg/

I've tried to play that shitty game several times. It's such a piece of hot garbage

I blame it on the fact that it has no way to do private lobbies like MK8

>tfw no more Xenoblade Chronicles X General

those were so comfy

Sup Forums and /vg/ are such fast boards that it is almost entirely about userbase and popularity. And a bit of autism to help the keep the thread bumped over night.

Look at /toy/. The shinki general went on for years with no new content and the thread was always on topic and constructive simply because /toy/ is slow enough that it didn't need to resort to mindless shitposting just to keep the thread up.

yeah, its totally not because the game is shit, nope

>PlayStation Vita General 3072
Huh, I didn't think they'd ever catch up.

Being shit is irrelevant. Most of the generals on /vg/ are about shit games.

Its basically just a small social circle where they talk about their lives now from what I've heard.

Actually /vg/ has more thread slots than active generals. It's not uncommon that a general past bump limit stays up for another hour or two because there are so little new threads made.

I only go to /hbg/ once in a while to check the news in the OP, but the times i went down and read the threads i wasnt that bad.

That's your opinion my dude
Nobody would talk about MK8 if it weren't for the Sup Forums and /vg/ lobbies

>kspg is gone thanks to that one mexican scammer

not as shit as this one apparently

Time is a flat circle

>Deleting generals that aren't discussing games
Won't happen many generals are just containment threads at this point. Mods have given up on many of them, its why there have been stealth generals for FFXIV here for months. /xivg/ is just a containment thread for all the ERP and avatarfagging degenerates, people who want to actually discuss the game go to Sup Forums threads.

Wat, story?

So what causes generals to be shit?

Nothing to discuss about the game anymore.

PCancers.

I'm fucking serious, go to any general and if PC posters are found, it's 100% likely to be extremely shit.

drawfags

The thread is literally 70% bump spam. Mods need to nuke that shit.

>brainlet

FFXIV

The very lax moderation means there's a ton of avatarfags in every general that derail and actively discourage any game related discussion

/xivg/ is the best example and is a fucking joke
>Catfags posting their characters with every post
>Thirsty retards spamming the thread asking for lewd poses and ERP
>Actually discussion is ignored in favor of the avatarfags
>Drama between whatever retards are on the same servers trying to out ERP each other

>Old and stale MMO's that turn fuicboys into sexually frustrated fuicboys looking for attention
>Popular games which attract braindead redditors who always ask question in the thread instead of using the wiki and only do dumb shit
>Social games that attract girls and fuicboys who look for even more attention

It depends on the general. The final fantasy XIV general has a huge problem with avatarfagging, smaller generals usually have shitty memes that get repeated every single thread and almost every general has at least a handful of posters that everyone else recognizes by their posting style which ultimately ends up in bringing attention to people instead of the thread topic.

>/gsg/

See look at this mad PCancer, responding with complete nonsense because they know I'm right.
>inb4 another mad response

>die hard fans refusing to admit irrelevance
>100% uncut colombian autism
>inside 'jokes'
>tripfags
>blogposting

most generally active franchises still have decent threads tho

...

That is the fate of all /vg/ generals. It gets to a point where is no longer about the game but just the community and those who want to discuss the actual game leave. Only drama autist remain. They turn into a /soc/ threads.

>/vg/
why is every thread on that board, no matter the game, nothing but gay ERP and roleplaying? it's even more not-vidya than regular Sup Forums is

>scroll thru /vg/
>see cute naked anime girl as OP pic
>immediatey head to /e/ for a wank and forget why I was even going to /vg/

I wish mods would ban that shit

>/*/ games general
Just fucking move to fucking /vg/ if you desperately want to discuss hentai games.
People visit these boards to fap, not to talk video games.

/sg/ says otherwise, one of the few decent generals and that's a franchise which is exclusively PC.

I noticed that mmo generals are always filled with drama and massive attention whores. No other generals have it that badly. There is some about the genre that attracts the worst people. Just like that FF15 posted who cut her wrists and posted it.

>/cbg/ still dead forever
all i want is the best mod pack for sc4

>/pg/ leaks into Sup Forums

Namefags and dramaqueens. The answer is always namefags and dramaquens.

Every general has "cool" guys in it and not so cool guys
The thing is, most cool guys move on after some time instead of sticking with the same game for literal years, leaving only the autistic fags behind
All generals turn to shit eventually, because most people just move on once they experienced all a game has to offer
The only games where this doesn't happen , are the ones with a lot of updates or are multigame generals

>that pic
this shouldn't aroused me
probably because I a nipple play fetish on boys.

a thread on Sup Forums is made when someone wants to discuss a game
a general on /vg/ always exists, meaning people will post even when they don't want to discuss anything

That's pretty much every fighting game thread

...
