Bumping because I too enjoyed this campaign. Multi-player not so much but Frontier defense is ok
It was a pretty standard tacticool military console shooter campaign, other than the part where you can swap time periods
Big robots being bigger heroes is the best trope
You stay I go
it was very medicore i have no idea what people are on about
Oops, someone didn't play it.
It's ok. You guys overrate the fuck out of it.
I played it, you go through an assembly plant and fight guys in a built arena at the end
It's just not that special
anyone who praises TF2's campaign obviously never played and actuall good campaign
Each titan in multiplayer has personalities.
>monarch telling me to disengage when facing multiple titans
>ronin telling me to keep sight of targets and pursue targets
>that panic "eject eject" from northstar
>papa scorch telling me he is engaging in "crowd control"
I will pay for a pre-match loby where the titan AIs talk to each other and the pilot before a fight
I saw a special eject message the other day. It was "You are who you choose to be"
Name 5 better campaigns that were released in the past 5 years
Just imagine the pre-match banter
>ronin and northstar insulting each other for vastly different playstyles, one keeping distance and the other being up close and personal.
>sorch making fire based puns
>legion being all serious sam and telling the others to focus
>tone being a cynic bitch
>ion and monarch being peppy and cheery having friendly competition on whos pilot is better
>game was overlooked at launch
>bought surplus official figurines at a marked down price a few months later
the last 5 COD games
suuuper maaan
I had "go get 'em tiger". God damn I felt so fucking angry and pumped up after that
Scorch is best boy.
>Weeb Ronin pilot tries slinging his katana at me
>Thermal shield melts his health in a matter of seconds
Best Titan
>Go on a kill streak with EPG
>Theres always that one guy that bitches at me for using the EPG
>bitching at Titanfall
>ever
I've never felt like I've played a more fair game than Titanfall. When I die it's because I fucked up. What kind of faggot do you have to be to bitch in this game?
It was kind of like Pacific Rim; a simple thing done well. It was just really, really solid and that can go a long way.
I loved Titanfall 2 and am praying for a "The Last Resort" DLC. Two-player bro-op that continues the campaign.
>at the end
What did he mean by this?
SCORCH BOYS
Oi
The PC version is full of bitchy faggots. Exactly why I bought it on PS4. Less dead and no bitching.
I guess keyboards really do bring out the worst in people.
>bought a pretty decent TF2 jacket for not even 30 Eurobux that has probably been catching dust in a warehouse for nearly a year
the best ones i've seen are "sometimes when you fall, you fly" and "dont throw your shot kid"
>Shit now I want a 4-koma out of this.
I agree, there's something really hype and aggravating with that line, especially when it's said right before a sacrifice.
I know that feel.
G34 EPG main here
>That exciting feeling when you see another EPG on the enemy killfeed
The enemies in SP were shit. The pilot fights being purely titan fights were a missed opportunity.
The titan fights arent that fun.
Should I get this game on ps4? Does anyone still play online?
PS4 scene is still very lively, also as a bonus you dont have to suffer through Orgin.
I've never had a problem finding a match and I've been playing pretty much every day since launch. Though it's kind of become nothing but Attrition at this point. You CAN find other gamemodes, it just takes a while.
Try playing on something else than easy though
>GF gives it a shot
>put campaign on easiest difficulty
>if you stand still they miss ALL the shots they take at you
>literally stand there, for 5 minutes, in the middle of 10 grunts
>start moving
>get instakilled
PS4 is by far the most active playerbase.
I can't remember which titan was, but one of the messenges when ejecting was "avenge me".
>Should I get an FPS game on a console?
No, user you shouldnt
PS4 has the most and no bitches but you're forced to play a FPS on controller.
Max Payne 3
CoD: Black Ops 2
Crysis 3
Dishonored 1
FEAR 3
Campaign was surprisingly good, yeah. I hope the next game improved CSS one boss battles and adds more platforming combat
>Black Ops 2 actually had more choice and story altering decisions than games that brag about that
Good times.
I feel you OP. I truly do.
Yes because fuck Origin botnet malware shit
The endings also depressed the fuck out of me. Also be under a rock till recently but why the fuck did Infinite Warfare do so bad? Its Steam rating is pretty fucking atrocious.
>MUH BOTNET
go there and stay there
It's strayed too far from what CoD "should be". Also loot crates providing objectively better weapons with zero drawbacks to people who have money to throw away murdered any chance at fairness.
It's a list of random phrases that can pop up.
I know it's such a small thing but it felt pretty good seeing them.
Enjoy your viruses and computer being used to vote for SJW BS.
>MUH ESS JAY DUBYAS
go there and stay there
kill yourself
It was great. Wish it was longer though. Finished it in 4 hours :(
kill yourself
Holyfuck this delusion
You're fucking hopeless kill yourself
>ywn listen to your titan brag about how much better his pilot is than the other titan's
My favorite is "Protocol
>delusion
>despite all the proof and actual findings on origin including in their ToS
Becomes the Master was some fucking bullshit.
What's your favourite Titan? Tone fags need not apply
Hell yeah. It had a good balance of platforming and combat in interesting arenas. It wasn't a masterpiece by any means but it was very fun with great characters. Definitely one of the better campaigns for a multiplayer focused game.
If anyone's interested, I did a review on this:
youtube.com
tone
AGGRESSIVE SUSTAINED COUNTER FIRE is my favorite.
BT-7274
Ion and Scorch.
No matter what, you're fucking lying if you didn't enjoy that campaign. That time jumping was too good..
It sure was.
Took me a good week to get it. Master difficulty mode was no walk in the park either.
Do people really still have issues with Tone? Maybe it's just because I play Ronin but I can't remember the last time a Tone gave me any real issue.
Will Battlefront 2 EA MP be as good as Titanfall's 2?
Campaign was pretty tame until time travel stage. From there out it was bretty gud.
Master wasn't that hard for me, I only had trouble when I fought Viper.
The movement in this game was so good.
Jumping up in the air and shotgunning people felt so fucking good.
Ion has been my waifu since the first time she recommended targeting the closest enemies first.
>Crysis 3
>Good campaign
>Dishonored 1
>Shooter
>FEAR 3
>Implying there's anything good about it
Just leave
No.
>boy
>not papa
Only Max Payne 3 applies from your list. The other 4 are abhorrent games (excluding Dishonoured, which had a fairly shit story but great gameplay).
Which is exactly why I use Grapple exclusively in multiplayer. The nuances of using that thing. I've been playing since and I still occasionally fling myself in a way I didn't think I could.
You're in luck
It's almost impossible if you don't know how to abuse it. Once you realize that the shotgun and arc grenades are all you need, then it's really not that tough. If you don't know about that, then it's easily the hardest trophy to get, by far. Otherwise, getting all the hidden helmets (without a guide) and beating the game on the highest difficulty are harder.
My favorite is "So long and thanks for all the fish."
The only one I can recognize is Ronin.
Some people shit on the invisibility cloak ability, saying it's OP as fuck and out of place. I think it's a great adition to the gameplay, instead of forcing you to run the fuck away and hide behind something when you're getting fucked, like you would in almost any other FPS game, you go into hiding but you're still playing the game, moving between enemies and positioning yourself better
Besides, if you don't see people even if they are invis, you are blind as fuck.
Respawn are humiliating Activision when it comes to game quality.
The campaign in 2 is 10/10 in my eyes. I actually played it through 3 times which I never ever do usually. I liked it that much.
Is there ANYONE who didn't have a tough time fighting Viper? I feel like he was the hardest part of the game by far. I finally managed to beat him by not taking cover and just being overly aggressive but man, he really frustrated me for a while.
From left to righ its Northstar, Ronin, Tone, Ion, Legion and Scorch
Monarch wasn't a thing back then, so here she is
*teleports behind you*
>fair
What is Tone, Monarch, R2, Pre-Nerf Devotion, Alternator etc pp
in titanfall 3 they should give the ability to replace your main weapon with a second pistol and dual wield them
Ronin and Scorch are obvious but the rest aren't at all. I'm guessing Northstar's on the far left because of the Goggles and Tone has headphones? We know who Scorch is so Legion is probably the other big breasted one which leaves Ion with the headband. More should be done to differentiate the characters though.
All shit that is easily countered by not always using the same playstyle?
>he has problems with Tone
Stopped reading there. Tone gave me problems too when I first started playing, but you know what I did? I tried dealing with her differently. And guess what; It worked. Because I was fucking up.
Ha, I thought that stupid anime sweatbead was a little horn, like she was demonic, so I thought that was Scorch. Fuck anime.
>t. never played against 8 meta-shitters
Ok then, Senpaitachi
This. I had a really hard time properly controlling Northstar and I always thought that it sucked. With enough practice, though, I've gotten much better and it's one of my favorite titans, by far. Every titan is surprisingly well balanced, depending on the map, except for Scorch who really needs just a little bit more of a buff.
>bitching about text chat
Guess consoles really are a haven for tumblr
Way to prove everyone's point. Go back to Redddit faggot.
Of course I've played against meta-shitters. But meta can be countered, sometimes simply by becoming the meta yourself. TF2 is unique in that there's no gun I've ever felt was unusable. I feel like you can do well with any gun. It feels incredibly rock-paper-scissors in that way. So if meta is shitting on you, change up what you're doing and work around it. Some faggot is camping a rooftop with a Devotion? Stop trying to R201 him, grab a CAR, and sneak around to fuck his day up. Stop bitching, adapt.
I usually switch to EPG for rooftop faggots. By the time they see the ball coming it's too late. 10/10
Well now, that's different. If you're playing with random teammates against a coordinated team then of course you're going to get completely shut down. That's how it is with just about any game. I would say that Titanfall 2 could use some kind of competitive or ranked mode with special rewards (similar to Metal Gear Online 2) but the game's population is so low that it would just fragment the community even more so.
