This game, man.

I barely thought it would live up to the hype, let alone exceed it. I've been playing for four hours straight across only two towns and about five houses, and it has been absolutely and utterly humbling. My breath is being taken away at every turn.

I just died trying desperately to fight a deathclaw with a minigun on a cold, lonely, massive town, with ominous growling startling me from far across some rocky, eroded mountains against the backdrop of a massive blue sky. Earlier I was marveling at a gas station. Raiders were shouting in the distance and tinkling piano chords played in the background.

I very much appreciate the technical and leveling aspects such as the settlement building and crafting, but most of all, this game has been an extremely emotional experience for me so far. I could barely pull myself away from my first settlement once I acquired the ability to build. No matter what I'm looking at, I have this excitement and this wonder and frustration that I am inevitably missing so much. I have never, EVER felt this lost. Wasteland just beckons, wordlessly. What a beautiful, beautiful, titanic game. I have no words.

Reminder that Fallout 4 is good and that a bad story is a retarded reason to dislike a game thats fundamentally fun to play

I honestly enjoy this game just for siding with the BoS. Everything else is average imo.

I like it. It scratches my Space Marine itch, running around with a flamethrower in power armor.

I'm honestly enjoying it. I bought it on release, and quit around lvl 19. Tried it again last winter. Quit again. Now, playing with 40+ mods, and it's a lot of fun. The thing with every TES since Morrowind and the Bethesda FO games is that they're much more fun with mods. Best to wait a couple of years after release, imo.

The game is too boring to finish even with mods. Most of the quests are fetch quests or shoot em ups and that gets repetitive. Story is terrible and I don't care about the baby.

I've played every Bethesda game since morrowind and this is by far the worst one.

I like all the Amorsmith related mods, wearable/craftable backpacks, camping. For graphics, Vivid Fallout, Flaconoil's textures, and true grass. Def UI + Cleanhud 2 for the user interface. There's a lot to choose from.

I like how you cut out all that can happen traveling towards the fetch\shoot em up quests.

Dis game is the perfect amount of frustrating. Been using my melee build nigga this shit fun!

Is a worthless loot system where every gun dropped has so many prefixes they actually can't show them all in the inventory yet they are all magnitudes worse than what you already have a good reason to dislike it?

Are bland environments and a draw distance from 2005 reason to dislike the game?

Sim settlements makes settlements amazing and Horizon is a great survival mod if you like that kind of thing. Both changed my gameplay experience immensely and made the game feel so much more immersive.

Fallout 4 is pretty good but even with all the DLC it left me kind of cold, I want a new Fallout game and it's going to take another 5 years minimum.

I've been desperately playing through New Vegas with total conversion mods but it's not the same as a new game.

Honestly I just expected more from the DLC. Way more. Sincerely hope some beefy as fuck dlc come out of that creator program, but doubt it.

Nuka-World and Far Harbor were fine, rest was just Sims-like item packs that sucked shit.

The game has an ocean of stuff to fuck around in. Each one however, is as shallow as a puddle. Personally, even if I look at this as a non fallout game, that might bump it up to a slightly below average game. Average at absolute best. And honestly, if it didn't have the Fallout name on it, I wouldn't have bought it. This was their last change however, next one I'm pirating first.

Here in my settlement. Just bought this new T51-b power armor here. Fun to wear around in the commonwealth. But you know what I like more than armor? Bobbleheads. In fact, I'm a lot more proud of this bobblehead stand I installed to hold these two new bobbleheads I found. It wasn't that long ago that I was in a little neighborhood across the state, sleeping on a cot with only 47 caps in my pocket. But you know what? Something happened that changed my life. I bumped into a settler, and then another settler, and a few more settlers. I bumped into 5 settlers and they told me what they do to survive in the wasteland. Again it's not just about the armor it's about the good life. Health, caps, bobbleheads, and happiness.
