Goddamn I love the "cinematic" cutscenes in this game, the way the camera moves, the music, etc. 10/10

No matter what people on this board like to say about Kojima, he is a fantastic director and it showed in MGSV/GZ
Sure the cutscenes look good, but the fucking story is a train wreck
>vocal parasites
>don't get to see the fall of big boss
>autistic horse face shoehorned in
>no satisfying ending
Yeah, that has nothing to do with the cutscenes, but you're right, but you can contribute most of that to konami being awful and preventing kojima from creating a complete game
The camera work is fine but the choreography is whack. People standing around in awkward poses making awkward faces to and away each other saying absolutely nothing.
Let's just have every soldier that moves or does a thing make a loud hearty grunt

Once you notice, it never stops being retarded.
Having the cast that would show up in the mission lead to interface spoilers on a couple of missions. The skulls loose a lot of impact when you know they're going to be sprung on you.
I agree, but I started to like it after a bit, kinda got me hyped for what the mission would bring
Yeah they're great
Whoever thought that was a good idea deserves to get shot, I closed my eyes at the start of every mission because of that shit
i always liked the credits at the beginning of every dispatch
id watch it like a movie
some of the best nights in vidya until you realize it's unfinished and factions don't fight eachother and there's only 1 helicopter etc etc
Yeah, I noticed this too, I think it's a side effect of the fact that's it's always one continuous shot
>don't get to see the fall of big boss
We already had two games about the fall of Big Boss. They were Metal Gear 1 and 2.
this user is right, MGSV set up venom for MG1
>he is a fantastic director and it showed in MGSV/GZ
He truly is a master
So? Ace Combat has been doing cinematic cutscenes since forever

Yeah I agree it's fucking hilarious how cheesy all the scenes are. I love it.
Never played MGS game before, but so far V is pretty fun. To the point where I'm actually kinda amused how well it plays because tactical\stealth games aren't really my thing.
For all of it's shortcomings and garbage fucking story, Assault Horizon was an impressive piece of video game programming.
It has surprising levels of detail on micro, mid, and macro scale and all runs in real time..
Eh, it still felt like a step backwards from Ace6 in terms of technical aspects. 6 had massive maps, tons of particle effects and enemies on screen at once, and some really photorealistic graphics, that all felt lost or toned down in AH
It was.
Too bad the story is crap though.
