Some 90's beat here. This game was a pure acid trip.
fuck that's good, is this the game itself actually anything special?
I was just about to post this.
youtube.com
I know that must seem extremely weird but i just really like the ost
While we're on Sega Genesis...
The game's a pretty good action platformer. It's kind of a spinoff of castlevania as well.
if you're a fan of platformers i'd say yeah

Whenever someone brings up this game the only thing I'll ever remember is this.
Give the song exactly 15 seconds, it gets better

this game used to be popular but now its populated by Brazilians
I wouldn't be surprised if most people dropped the game before they even heard that song.

Also some bonus songs.

I love this one. Well, I have this weird quirk with snare drums - the heavier/deeper, the better, and this game has lots of that. Shame this one was excluded in the PC version. The PC version has clearer sound. Lots of good music from the first game there.
I have never seen this game (or any Darius game) mentioned on Sup Forums ever. Can't get much more obscure than that! youtube.com
I fucking love Vectorman, i used to play that shit all the time as a kid. Great fucking taste user.
>Bomb shelter
There was area like this in CP? Its been 5 years but I dont remember that
I don't know how obscure this actually is, since it usually gets posted in these threads, but it's still fucking great.

Shits tight
Yeah, it's the area you reach when you get to the principals office. He has a secret passage there, it's also where you hide under the table while they dissect seikos corpse. I think there were a few tables with heads on them aswell.

Septerra Core. JRPG inspired game published by Monolith. Score was composed by fucking Marty O'Donnell of all people.
youtube.com
I would like to dump
Okay, but instead of obscure, I'm gonna post good mixes, is that allowed? Too bad I'm doing it anyways.

The only other game that does remixes of classical songs even slightly as well as Phantom Dust is Catherine.

shovelware games with weirdly good music are my shit

I don't know if they had it in the DS game but fucking hell the listening to the GC Custom Robo track just makes me hear the thing that plays when characters are talking.
Nobunaga's Ambition might not be the most "obscure" thing out there. But what is criminally underappreciated are the soundtracks.
There is some seriously beautiful shit in the PS2 games and onward, and I highly encourage you to go listen to them at some point if you like japanese-y orchestral stuff.

The ChoroQ series (also known as Penny Racers in the west) is also host to some nice OST.

Lots of very energetic and cheerful stuff that gets you pumped for races.
Thirdly, Asuka 120%. An old fighting game series that dates back to the x68k era.

There's not a lot going on musically really, but each theme is full of personality and very "sporty" for lack of a better word.
There's also like 8 different versions of every song due to all the systems and chipsets the franchise has been on.
Now this is good shit right here.

Shit, I remember seeing this game at one of the Games Done Quick events, thought it had great music. Top notch choice there m8.

This game is pretty obscure but I remember going through random GBA games on an emulator once and discovered this, the game was entirely in Japanese and I couldn't play it, but damn it had a great main menu theme.
youtube.com
I mean, the only video I can find is some dude fucking emulating it, which is a shame since the actual track is around a minute long.
There was an incredibly groovy japanese song, maybe yakuza or partially related, that was posted here a month ago or so. I wish I knew because holy fuck
