Surely you're good at typing, right? Can you beat me? I'm dyslexic, so no excuses.

last time I checked on that exact website it was 72 or 61 wpm
>4:00
go the fuck to sleep don't you have anything better to do
I might try when I'm more awake and not in a voice call.
>sit on pc since early age
>never formally learn touch typing, just get somewhat gud at ~4 finger typing
>tfw actually trying to learn touch typing
I have like 12 years of muscle memory to overcome, it's fucking impossible
You can do better, user! You just have to practice!
But user, I've lost control of my life.
Bretty gud.
If it's anything to you, I refused to learn the proper hand technique schools used to teach because it hurt my hands and I was an obstinate kid. "Proper" typing is bullshit.
I'M ONLY GETTING FASTER.
Test is trash. Bunch of random words that have zero flow. At least do a test that has a coherent excerpt.
Did you mess up any words, user?
But I agree, it's a bit too easy, but they make mention of that. I usually just do the test a buncha' times and average the result, then go on to another site and do it there and so on and so forth.
>40 cpm when attempting touch typing
goddamn
Yeah, touch-typing is aids. For my left hand, I rest Index finger usually rests on "E", my Middle finger on "W", Ring finger on Caps Lock, Thumb on Spacebar and my right hand I rest my Index finger on "N" when I'm typing and "P" when I'm using shorthand for vidya.
Didn't even see that read out, but I fucked up 3 in a row. "deep see" ended up deeps and ea, because my mind read it as two words..
>everyone is 100wpm+
Really makes you think
Hot damn. I give my praise to you guys. Here I was thinkin' I'm hot shit.
>tfw my one skill in life is rapid shitposting
I have a Cherry MX Browns if that makes much difference, I've heard that mech keyboards can in crease typing speeds by 10%-15%. First try though
>typing technique consists of just using index fingers
The best I can do with this is just 80 wpm. Is it worth it learning homerow or some other form of touch typing?
indeed
how do i into typing?
To those asking if it's worth touch typing, depends if you care. If you wanna increase your efficiency in typing and not having to look down at the keyboard all the time, as well as look like some crazy nerd when you type in public, yes it's worth it. There's free courses online that teach you, it'll take a few weeks but it's satisfying when you can do it
attempt 2
yes, but it'll be shit for you to learn because just starting out you'll be lower than 80 wpm
>Shitposting at 122 WPM
A fucking god, holy fucking shit.
carefully.
How can us 1 percenters compete when you got this 0.2% defeating us? There's no hope
YOU MUST HAVE FAITH, user.
For surely, if I am dyslexic and have never learned the proper techniques, you could perhaps even surpass my skill. You must fight forever, user.
I'm the 113wpm senpai. I just can't see myself hitting 120+, maybe one day with a MX Blue keyboard. We need these top 0.1% people procreating so we can have millions of people typing at least 100wpm
Don't fret. 3 of us could easily take on 0.2%ers
First attempt. Tired as hell, took typing classes a long atime ago.
Pssh, that's what you think - I'm a black belt. Nothin' personnel, kiddo.
Pretty ballin', user. Good to see you're still in shape.
Yeah, I feel like having a mechanical keyboard definitely would help. At the rate I go, I have to put in brief pauses to my typing or words will slur together.
It bites all the more too, because I have to cognitively "translate" every single damn word because words like "style" looks like "sylte", "from" looks like "form" and so on. It used to be where I just couldn't read, and after all of these years, I've come so far. To think that if I didn't have this disability, I'd probably be hitting crazier numbers but it's also comforting to think that I do as well as I do despite the condition.
>only type with my index fingers for the most part
>Get 90-95 wpm
I dont think i can go further than that
I average around 100-125
The best that I got was around 140
paint by letters
>tfw casual
>tfw apparently a typlet compared to you guys
I was doing well in the first half but fucked everything up after the halfway mark, gonna go again
It's insanely good that you're getting 100wpm+ with dyslexia OP. I wouldn't say "crazy numbers" more but I could see it being a good 20-30wpm, you would probably be in the top 0.01%
>typlet
At least you're not a brainlet with that creative name you made up
>tfw typlet
Thank you for the positive words, user. Means a lot. I'll keep practicing!
PROGRESS. One before this had no mistakes but was only like 86 wpm.
I'll be h-hayai like you nerds soon enough
