- SSB Goku confirmed playable, listed as an all-rounder with tools to cover any situation, but is very fast and difficult for beginners to control. His meteor attack is the Kaioken x 10 Kamehameha.
- SSB Vegeta confirmed, a powerful offensive character with devastating strikes. His meteor attack is Final Flash Attack.
- #18 also confirmed, with #17 spotlighted as an assist character in her moveset, including her meteor attack, Accel Dance.
- #16 confirmed, a strong but slow grappler type with Hell Flash as a meteor attack. Self Destruct is also hinted to be a super
- #16 is also featured in the story mode of DBFZ, in which he is rebuilt and stages an assault on the Z fighters, alongside mysterious copies of Goku and co.

- A new gameplay trailer will be shown after the Gamescom tourney
Dragon Ball FighterZ
I don't even care about this game or Super or even Dragonball anymore for fucks sake, but after seeing in the catalog so many OPs screaming never ever I feel pretty damn smug
so does goku going kkx10 confirm that this game will have super characters? do we have potential for Hit, maybe goku black?
only Super character with an actual moveset right now are Hit, Black and Merged Zamasu
>Alternate forms taking character slots
And people will still hype this roster compared to MvC.
Them and Beerus are all you need.
I have never read or watched any Dragon Ball and i am slightly hype about this. Mostly since there is no good 2d fighting game out there currently that is active.
Tekken is ok, but it's 3d.
those are the only characters that need to come in, plus beerus who you could argue is a Z character as well
would anyone actually be upset if those were the super characters they added?
>No Limit Breaker Goku
>No Super Saiyan White Chadhan
Shit game.
nope, I really want Black and would be curious on how they would implement Hit
>people seriously expected there NOT to be alternate form characters in a dragonball game
Like seriously man how hard is it to just think about it, almost every character in this show has alternate forms. Fuck off.
>thinking avengers vs. down syndrome will be good in any way
Is super saiyan white real or just an autistic meme?
>b-but it's only going to be Z!
>battle of gods and revival of F is Z! There won't be any super!
>there won't be any clones!
Z fags btfo.
I don't watch Super and I'd be fine with all of those as long as we get the DBZ-staples before them
If no
>Tien
>Yamcha
>Kid and Super Buu
>Ginyu
>Ultimate Gohan
>Gotenks
these are all that I think NEED to be playable since they are pretty much classics and all have very unique moveset possibilities and out of the movie characters I only think Broly and Janemba would be also pretty much necessary
the only one from your list that won't be in this game is Super Buu
Super buu's chances are pretty low but since yamcha is a meme in Japan and has a potentially unique moveset he might actually get in
I'm still not seeing any Super character s
From the way it looks SSGSS Goku and Vegeta are stronger than their base counterparts when it comes to high level play and that automatically raises concerns for balance issues.
It's the same problem other DBZ fighting games had and they're making the same mistake here.
Thanks for using my post from days ago as the OP, OP.
>not wanting Super Buu with super that allows him to absorb his friends when they get KO'd
but yeah I can see him not happening
literally how, has there even been gameplay-footage of them?
He's here ladies and gentlemen
The king of denial himself
Let's give him a round of applause
I actually corrected some mistakes and added some info
What? Where'd you come up with any of that? Goku is Ryu and Blueku is Akuma
I prefer super buu to kid buu but kid is more popular and is the last real DB enemy in the manga
>listed as an all-rounder with tools to cover any situation, but is very fast and difficult for beginners to control.
It's right in his fucking description that he's not meant for beginners.
Base Goku is said to be meant for beginners during the producer interview.
I see that! Appreciated!
So you mean exact descriptions of Ryu and Akuma who are both balanced in their own way?
I feel like from what the are saying with the ssb characters is closer to e.ryu/ryu and akuma/oni from sf4, same base character but rejigged with a more flexable toolset meaning all rounder that at a higher level is a more adaptable fighter. I just hope that doesn't mean evo wil be ssbgoku/ssbvegeta/frieza vs ssbgoku/ssbvegeta/cell
who /HyperDBZ/ here?
A better comparison is Ryu and Evil Ryu during USF4 when hardly anyone used Ryu and mained Evil Ryu.
Oni is worse than Akuma and e.ryu has certain weaknesses that Ryu doesn't have so he's not strictly better
And that's not what it means
hey remember that time daiGOAT lost to a regular ryu at evo? shit was great.
at high level e.ryu was better overall than ryu.
Every game is different. There were many shotos in 4 and some were better than others but none of them were strictly better
What about sf3 with Ryu, Ken and Akuma where even tho Akuma was the harder one to use both Ken and Ryu were better than him?
Yep, big fan since 2015 and now my boi superbuu is in and im fucking hype, i really hope cell is on the way, but super hapy to see tien get some well deserved repect for once
Using any entry in sf3 as a basis of reference for balance is a bad idea
>at high level e.ryu was better overall than ryu
Overall, yes, but that's a given in any fighter that certain characters will be better than others. You're cherry picking right now. There are plenty of examples of the more complex character being worse
/superbuuboyz/
best fucking DBZ villain, we out here
But the argument is abut character variants, characters with the same supposed base moveset
From the description Blue Goku sounds a lot like if Oni was good; rooted in the game's most basic archetype, but a bit more powerful and with a lot of additional tools.
I think the intent may be to intentionally make base Goku a beginner character and Blue Goku the "viable" Goku that is strictly better but considerably more difficult to use (and maybe has a weakness normal Goku doesn't like less health or something).
Blue Vegeta seems to be different though; he's described as being all-out offense while explicitly cutting on defense. He's not a direct upgrade from Vegeta, but a MUCH more aggressive version that will hurt a lot more from a mistake. So, kinda like CvS2 Shin Akuma?
Buu is great to me cause he wanst a sci-fi threat, he was a return of a magical threat
We don't know if the blue do have the same base Movesets. They may have more unique Movesets.
Ken, Ryu and Akuma have basically the same Movesets anyway. Even Dan, Sean or Sakura are nearly the same. It just depends on many factors which character ends up best at high level
Please show me where Goku used Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken in any of the movies.
Goku was considered good in the demo build, so who knows, he may just play differently than Blueku, like how Ryu is more defensive while e.ryu/Akuma are more Rushdown
Tien and Yamcha's chances are pretty slim.
They said this game would represent "all eras", so the only character left on my wishlist is Tien.
meme
I love Super Buu specifically because when he first appears, he isn't the same smug, haughty villain we've seen twice before in Z. He's just a fucking deranged psycho, and that made him way more menacing. Seeing him follow the Z Fighters all the way to Kami's lookout was one of my all time favorite moments in DB.
use this pic whenever someone says Kale and Caulifla will be in this game
It's great fun but I think the power mode gimmick isn't really needed here.
Just show beers, fucking please
>are pretty slim
>I live in a timeline where Tien and Yamcha being playable in a DB game are slim
not like this, bros
Isn't Vegeta already considered the main rush down character?
Why do you guys think this? At least for Tien pretty much guarenteed bc he's the producer's husbando
Tien has most unique fighting style and Yamcha's VA hinted he recorded lines for something DB related recently
FOR THE LAST FUCKING TIME! THERE WILL BE NO SUPER SHIT CHARACTERS IN THIS GAME, ONLY BILLS!
FUCK OFF!
They didn't show up in Super DBZ so it's not like there isn't any precedence. Though I do hope Yamcha does show up at least, he's got enough to play with.
They're gonna wait until after Gamescom to reveal him as the last beta character.
Beta when for fuck sake ?
Signups are Tuesday I think. Beta is the weekend before Marvel Infinite launches, which is hilarious because it's going to steal thunder so hard.
I mean dude it's DB. Anyone who told you there wouldn't be AT LEAST 2 different flavors of Goku was delusional.
Personally I'm hoping we get kid goku. His staff and cloud could be really fun.
Also we might get a RRA rep if he happens.
>Also we might get a RRA rep if he happens.
We just got 16 & 18 though.
>Also we might get a RRA rep if he happens.
You have three RRA reps already.
>outfits from a Super arc
>Goku using a technique from a Super arc
>NO SUPER SHIT
user please.
Despite the narrative I really don't think the overlap between DBFZ and Infinite will be that big.
You know what I mean.
I want the fuckin pilaf machine already.
Either that or murasaki. A retarded ninja would make a great joke character.
DB shit has no chance besides Kid Goku, meanwhile GT has SS4 Goku, Pan, Super 17, Nuova and Omega Shenron
>Super 17
I could deal with Omega or Baby Vegeta here, but fuck this ass clown.
arm gatling, son
>Cell
>Piccolo
>18 w/ 17
Pretty happy with this team right now, though I wouldn't mind Pikkon just so I can play as three green dudes. I'm looking forward to seeing new footage when the beta hits, the pushblock in this game still seems really strong to me. If it costs no resources/doesn't work like UNIEL shields where you get assblasted if you block the wrong way, I can see offence not being easy despite this game having assists.
>Murasaki
>Not General Blue
Honestly, why hasn't he been suggested yet? His psychic abilities could make him useful for incapacitating enemies, and they could incorporate his aircraft like in BT3.
there was a possible leak of tein and yamcha making it in, problem is the game said there was alt costumes and i never seen that before. maybe it;s cause of bandai money.
...
Because Blue is underrated af
The pushblock being strong makes sense since it's there to mainly counter homing dash.
This game could probably get away with alt costumes since these characters are way less detailed than GG characters, but alts were already deconfirmed months ago at E3.
Will 100% be in the game:
>Ultimate Gohan
>Kid Buu or Super Buu
>Gotenks
>Tenshinhan
>Beerus
>Hit
You mean what 16 has already?
>Tao Pai Pai won't be in the game because he isn't popular enough
>You suggest fucking Murasaki
Can they just confirm Ginyu (Force) already?
soon, of the obvious heroes we're only missing Gotenks, Ultimate, Tien and Vegito
It's real all right
idk why, but these meme always gets a chuckle out of me. Reminds of me of when people were doing SSJ5 speculation with that infamous 'totally legit' artwork
Just want to let you guys know that this is a 3v3 fighting game with each character also having an assist function.
No. 18 is already being said to have 17 "assist" her in her moveset, but I think shit like that is extremely unimaginative, devalues the assist system, and has the potential to make the game more of a clusterfuck.
Now people actually want Ginyu to be confirmed with his team members as a part of his moveset and I'm just shaking my head at the thought, family. I don't want these characters to be designed on the same level of Sonico from N+Blasterz. These characters deserve more than that.
The autism is just too amusing.
only Recoome has moveset to be standalone, so no if we're geting Ginyu his going to have the summons
ginyu force might be excessive, but 18 having 17 for a personal assist isn't that different to phoenix having maya assisting him.
How does Recoome have a distinct moveset? A Bane style back breaker and a mouth beam is it
yamcha is a meme everywhere but he is pretty popular in Japan more than Tien
Tien and Yamcha are soft confirmed. Tien is the producers favorite character and Yamcha was hinted at by the VA. Its sad that we are even fucking debating this topic.....
Again, Tien and Yamcha aren't as guaranteed as you'd think.
I mean you know that realistically the best chance we have of a pre DBZ RRA reference is MAYBE one of the androids making a full metal jacket reference.
I just suggested Murasaki because he seems like he could have a fun playstyle like faust. Also the only reason they'd include a DB character is to try and have a reference completely out of left field to surprise people as a joke character.
I'd rather have them make up a moveset for him.
>No Champa.
Fuck you, user. I want to habeeb.
every dbzf thread on Sup Forums has been bitching about how there's no way super characters can be in the game because "it's a dbz game!!!" people will find a way to be mad about anything.
Personally I'd just love a straight (well I guess not if Blue's in it) DB fighting game. There are so many characters who would have incredibly fun movesets for a fighter.
Reeee get out chub furfag
Didn't that DB game on Wii have a fighting game mode?
Which one?
Advanced Adventure had a mode pretty close to it.
It was nice to see something different than blue.
I hope they add Super 17 just so that neofag kills himself.
-no waifus besides 18
-super stuff is only Hit, Black and Merged Zamasu as DLC
-Broly in base roster
-No DB or GT shit
-Nappa, Dabura and Ginyu are in
>-no waifus besides 18
I wouldn't be torn up about it. There's very few canon female fighters in the series that would work in this game. Even 18 is having her moveset supplemented by 17. I still think Videl is POSSIBLE, but I'm not hoping for her.
>-super stuff is only Hit, Black and Merged Zamasu as DLC
Makes sense. I would figure maybe Toei would force them to add a character that isn't as interesting that they want to push instead of one of the Zamasus, though.
>-Broly in base roster
Good. 16 can't be the only big body.
>-No DB or GT shit
Just give Tien some of his moves from DB, same with Roshi, and I'm happy.
>-Nappa, Dabura and Ginyu are in
Good, they'll all be fun. 16/Nappa/Broly big boy team sounds like a blast to play.
Was this meant to annoy people?
pathetic
