What game were you playing on 9/11?

What game were you playing on 9/11?

I was playing Crash Team Racing with my friend

>inb4 Sup Forums was like 2 years old

It was a weekday, I wasn't allowed to play games on weekdays. I had that type of parent.

Tekken 4 probably, i.e. best Tekken

uh nigga tekken 3 was the most recent one in 2001

fuck off underaged kid

Shit user I think I was in school when it happened. And I probably laughed about it because I couldn't comprehend the severity of the situation.

I was in school, I remember all of us were taken to the cafeteria to watch the live coverage and practically none of us having any idea what was happening.

Later that day I probably played some Tony Hawk and F-Zero.

isn't this real euro hours?

I was in kindergarden, I don't remember specifically that day. I think my parents tried to shield me from it.

Aus Boi here
Honestly, I don't remember
I woke up that morning, went into the yard and I remember my Mum calling out to me saying something happened
Some Military planes flew over, and there were Helicopters in the sky.
Whole world was on edge waiting for something else to happen.

I think I played crash or spyro when I went inside.

I was napping through a US government class in high school. Some panicked kid ran into the room and told us to turn on the TV.
Soon after that I was back home playing Legend of Dragoon. Fuck Lloyd.

>that morning
9/11 was at like 19.00 for aussies

I was at school not playing any games at all

Oh you're right, T4 came out the year after. Doesn't make me underage though, retard

I was high in high school

>not bringing your gameboy to the bathroom during 9/11
casuals.

American here. I was in 8th grade math class, I think it was around 9 AM since it was my second class.

I was playing those bitchin math learning games when the teacher shut everything off and made us watch the TV. I don't remember the game but it was about some skateboard kid stacking boxes or someshit.

I was 6 watching tv and I was all like "ok how is this any different from the usual sad news though"

I was in 5th grade and yes my friends and I laughed our asses off because we didn't understand.

We thought they hijacked the planes then proceeded to fuck up and crash both of them accidentally

>not bringing your ps2 to the bathroom during 9/11
pleb

It was a morning on a schoolday

>not bringing your top of the line gaming pc at the time, with huge speakers and ethernet port going down the hall to the schools router so you can play counter strike 1.6 online with your bros from other countries

sad!

...

I was up late playing Skies of Arcadia on my Dreamcast (it's Australia so it was night time), and I turned the TV over to see if David Letterman was on but instead I see a burning building so I assumed it was some Die Hard movie or something then went back to my game.

>top of the line gaming PC
>CS 1.6
>not using your superior power for running the secret Duke Nukem Forever build hidden in the Manhattan Project at blistering 1024x768

Don't remember the game, but I do recall I'd just got home and wanted to watch some after school cartoons. But every channel was filled with coverage on the incident.

I was just irritated that I was missing DBZ.

>dbz after lunch

p-paisano?

I was playing Pokemon Gold

Crazy taxi baby

>Johnny Bravo on the CW was cancelled for a speech from Dubya
I'm still mad. That Sunday I was supposed to go to a Giants game for the first time with my dad, uncles, and grandpa but that got postponed til the fucking spring.
I do not forget, I do not forgive. Islam will pay for this

>not being a rich kid and buying 20 computers and playing CS lan parties with your whole homeroom while 9/11

I was watching some shitty cartoon on tv

Celebrating my aunt's birthday at a buffet.

brbr

I was in school, I specifically remember other kids getting pulled out of class all through the day (getting picked up by their parents). They kept quiet about what happened so I had no idea til I got home and my mom was watching it on the news. I think I went and played DK64 after.

>I was in kindergarden
God, I feel old.

I was at school, but after that I was most likely playing Super Mario Sunshine or some game on my Gamecube

>The CW
>2001
>Bravo on anything but CN in 2001 during the prime of Cartoon Cartoon Fridays

It was still WB in 2001, where the fuck do you live?

I was eleven and I was playing Paper mario 64

>walk into room
>parents glued to tv
>see towers on the TV
>plane crashes
>"what movie is this it looks good"

>Gamecube

kill yourself kid

Team Fortress 1.5

I was probably playing Pokemon or Spyro.

I dunno but I was in 4th grade and was pissed we couldn't go outside, probably went to reread the nintendo power previews about the gamecube

my friends & i were having a resurgence with diablo 2

pokemon crystal

I wasn't playing any game at the time, I was with my mom getting her car fixed. But when I did get home I logged into Starcraft and we all discussed what we were going to do since the world is ending now.

>ITT: kids googling 2001 games

I was in school, thinking about my Pokemon Crystal file.
Take me back please.

it was channel 15 then; that's what the CW is up here in upstate NY now. I don't watch enough tv to know it was a different network then. But it definitely wasn't CN; that is 32

How the fuck would I remember that

apologies for poor english

i was sat at home eating smegma butter when pjotr ring

"wtc is kill"

"no"

I'm in Hawaii so I was asleep. I woke up to my parents freaking out about a terrorist attack. At the time I had zero empathy for people on a continent I had never met--I was an immature high school freshman with no perspective--so I was just delighted that school was canceled.

I was in CAD class. Principal comes on the intercom in tears, saying "we should pray for the victims" with no context.

We all go "The fuck was that about?"

what did you think using a tripcode was necessary for posting in this thread

unironically end your life

They let us out of school early, I went home to watch Digimon. Nothing but the news coverage was on on every channel so I turned the TV off and played Neopets. I had no idea what happened until years later

i was at shool. i didn't play any games.

It was a fucking school day in the morning, unless you weren't from America. What are you, Europoor?

I dont remember it well, but I know the school had the flag at half mast and stuff. Mostly uneventful day cause not American so it wasnt as big of a deal.

I was watching DBZ and Goku was about to go SSJ3 when it happened.

I was at school when it happened, came home and all the normal channels had coverage of it.

So I went upstairs, turned on ITV2 and watched Cardcaptors.

Were you watching it subbed? Cuz I remember the dub on Toonami that day was that Otherworld Tournament filler.

I was literally 3, probably playing one of those great 2000's freeware indy games that my brother had downloaded

How the fuck am I supposed to remember it? It was a normal day like any other day, nothing special.
Only Americans see it as a big deal.

are you from indonesia or something

every tv channel in europe was broadcasting it

I was in 4th grade, we had a couple hours left but they wheeled a tv in the classroom. It took me a bit to understand the implications of what was happening. Also I'm in Chicago so everyone was scared we would get hit next. This and when a new pope got chosen were the 2 times my school interrupted classes

I was packing my bags for a school camping trip.None of the shit in the news really fazed me at that age.

>probably laughed about it because I couldn't comprehend the severity of the situation.
Same with Columbine, we had fucking school shooting RPs with stick guns and all. Shit wasn't serious at all, it was just cool and epic.

I was in school watching live from the window, while my dad picked me up from school covered in soot from the blast.
Came home to play spyro.

>Ignoring that SMS came out almost a year after 9/11

Banjo Tooie

>Ignoring
nigga if the console wasn't out (my point)
of course no game was either

Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun

>I was in 5th grade and yes my friends and I laughed our asses off
What kind if broken person are you?

Saw my parents watching it on TV, called me over to look at it, didn't care, went to play Jak and Daxter 2. Took me a week to realize the extent of that mess.

I got pulled out of 6th grade early and got home and my family was glued around the TV watching the news. We lived like 15 minutes from the towers so I was like "holy shit." Then I stopped caring and went to play Sanic Adventure 2 multiplayer with my brother. I remember using that weird orange alt costume on sonic.

Wait, JaD wasn't released yet. Can't remember the game then. Maybe Crash or Spyro.
Or Gex.

I recreated it in Pilotwings 64

>had demo disc for ps1 which had an ace combat level
>friend and I spend hours flying as fast as we can into buildings

I'm glad I'm not the only person who wasn't sad about this. I saw a plane crash on the TV, and didn't feel anything.

Not me, of course, being two years old, but I was sitting in my dad's lap as he played Gamecube (forget which game). My parents were always huge into video games. When they met in college, they immediately bonded over SNES and Game Boy. Hell, my dad even proposed to her when they were both waiting in line for Zelda OoT, and, a year later, they had me.

I miss being a little kid, playing Wii Sports, Oblivion, the Halo series and others together with my parents, laughing as we all fumbled and made mistakes. Now that I'm going to college next week, it will be so weird entering adulthood and not spending as much time with them as I used to. Any other 90's kid feel the same way?

You should try reading entire posts before responding.

All I played at that age was pokemon or smash, so one of those

I did. It doesn't matter if he thought they screwed up or not. He still laughed after seeing a tower with hundred of people in it get destroyed.

Shit, my bad, bro.

Just asked my dad, it was actually N64, and it was Goldeneye.

I was playing some game where you torpede Dolphins on Joecartoon.com

I was an edgy kid in elementary school listening to shit like Limp Bizkit and Korn back then.
I remember being in an internet caffe at the time and a classmate randomly walked in there as well and went all "user, have you seen what's on TV. America is up in flames!" and I probably answered something like "awesome".

because teenagers are nothing but shits with no concept of empathy or the greater world around them.

Maybe spyro, Croc, Rayman, medievil or crash bandicoot. I can't fucking remember cause I'm French and didn't gave a single fuck about some burgers getting what they strongly deserved.

>those fukin names

Pokemon. I was in school when it happened but my mom picked me up early to head to the beach for my birthday.

>hobla habla
>jussuf mullah
>kebab wahhab
Wait a second.. i thought this fire happened in Britain?

Don't remember, but i do remember buying PS2 at October 1st.

I was in home room freshmen year of HS.

I actually don't remember columbine even though I was like 10 when it happened. I remember how being a kid was ruined after that and how I was suspended for bringing a blow gun I made out of PVC pipe to school but that's it.

They're trying to flee from yurope, but it's already too late

I was in secondary/highschool, was the end of the day and i'd just got home - probably about 4pm ish, I remember seeing it on the news in passing at home.

I remember laughing a bit. Never really cared for americans prior to that, nor more after - they probably got a bit less tolerable afterwards desu.

think i was 13
whatever day it was i was at my dads
was kinda pissed because every one in the house wanted to watch americlaps nevar forgetti happen
i wanted to watch cartoons, no one would let me
bored as fuck whole day

I was in college. Grammar class. Left the room and went to the computer lab where I alternated between news and webcomics to stop thinking about the news.

Don't remember playing games that day, but if I did, it was probably Ogre Battle 64 or Perfect Dark.

You're not a 90's kid if you were 2 in late 2001.
