Why hate on this game? It's not like it's some cod, cinematic experience, walking sim type game. I played the beta felt like a polished class based arena shooter. That's pretty much it.

Because trying to push a class-based shooter post-Overwatch brings the ire of Blizzfags, not to mention it's easy to shit on Cliffy for more or less abandoning PC gamers to make cover-based console shooters.

The creator is a cunt. In the video linked in OP, he says "Xbox fans are salty" or something along those lines. When he was previously making games for Xbox, he was then insulting PC players. He is basically insulting anyone that is not a potential customer for him. He also says all kinds of stupid shit in the video, like "We've created the Dark Souls of competitive shooters". The man oozes of reasons to hate him.

So what's the consesus Sup Forums? I didn't quite like the marketing but if it's a fun game I'd give it a try. I haven't heard anything bad about the beta gameplay, in fact I've heard more praise than anything about it.

Played a bit of the beta, it's not Quake-speed, but it's certainly faster than Overwatch and Battlestillborn.

If you want an action packed shooter then I absolutely endorse it. The game itself is good, but cliffy and nexon is doing a great job scaring people off. Zero g feels weird in the beginning but when you get used to it you'll boost around like a madman in no time.

Listen Cliff, personality in characters matter, because it makes it more fun to play the character. It's a hero shooter you dumb fucking nigger. The Heroes need to have personality. Battleborn Heroes have more character and personality than your shitty game you idiot.

And it does. But there's a lobby in between games where autobalance happens. If someone leaves at this point then the game waits until the slots are filled back up. That can happen instantly, or you may have time to get a cup of coffe

Decentish idea but poor execution. Movement isn't nearly as important as they say it is because virtually every weapon is hitscan. Also most of it is tied to abilities with cooldowns, many of which aren't much more complicated than "sprint meter but you go up a little bit too".

I don't blame you. I don't have any trouble finding games though and I've played throughout the day. It has a small playerbase, but also a very dedicated one. The few who play it won't disappear any time soon.

It has elements of both and more. It's not sad, it's beautiful.
