Yeah it's worth it now that it's $25 on PS4 with 3 major content patches that were free. The game is actually pretty fucking solid to play.

Yes, some planets are barren, some don't have an atmosphere, and there are a lot of new strange biomes since 1.3 like pic related.

I recommend hitting up the /r/DayZ subreddit they are posting a whole bunch of videos/info. But in the next week the DayZ Devs are posting a status report and 1080p 60fps footage to show off .63 BETA demo and what is also in the works (base building hopefully since they already announced it).

its a massive grind and nothing is that fun to do. I spend the whole game grinding and waiting for something cool to happen, but it never does. It looks pretty at times but thats the best this game can do. Look good sometimes. id wait until they stop patching it so you play it when its as done as its ever going to be. Because they're still adding huge things.
