Why do you steal his game Sup Forums?
Why do you steal his game Sup Forums?
I want him to die
Your game can't be stolen if you don't code it.
Remember when it was considered a good thing to show the necessary skill/smarts to not pay for something when you can get it for free?
Pirating isn't stealing. :^)
I work at an indie studio and I've just accepted piracy as an inevitability. If someone doesn't want to pay for a game, there's nothing you can do to make them do it. You're better off just establishing a good relationship with them instead of trying to guilt or shame them into buying.
Because he is wasting his money on stupid clothes and cheap beer.
Because most of Sup Forums are third world barbarians who never seen money
true art is selfless
>implying I even play video games anymore
Because I can
>Cheap beer
I'm not paying for his habits.
>making video games for money
Video games are art. Do you see painters complaning that they don't make enough money?
I am at the point where I get and just try games now to see how they play, it is extremely rare for me to continue any of them.
Tell him to just make some shitty survival FPS instead of something good. Problem solved.
I know I can complain when someone draws giant literal buttholes can make millions while other unknown much better artist don't make anythin, not complaining for the lack of money, just because fuck this planet.
>Do you see painters complaning that they don't make enough money?
Yes.
I don't. Why would I want to play a game that had less effort put into it than a TI 83 calculator game from back in the day?
Because his games arent worth 60 dollars and he should have a job
If it weren't for pirating most of these indie cucks would be dead in a ditch.
Maybe if he stopped wasting money on alcohol he'd have more energy and motivation to finish his game.
UHHHH BROTHER CAN YA SPARE A DOLLAR
JUST A POOR OLE INDIE DEV
UHHHH YOU PIRATES DIRTY RATS UHH
sorry, but not every indie dev gets to be a superstar
most of them have to go get real jobs eventually
What are "real jobs"?
I don't because his games aren't even worth stealing.
It's a term wagies use to describe some menial task job because they weren't able to get a job doing something they love. They assume that people who did get such jobs don't have "real" jobs.
I don't care enough to even steal their games.
Thankfully video games aren't art so it doesn't apply.
this
But what if I love building scaffold?
Good for you then
I think this says everything really. Piracy is one thing, but when people don't even know of your existence?
>I work at an indie studio
Are you okay user? have you eaten today?
You people need piracy because it gives you way more attention than you think, don't learn to just accept it learn to love it too.
A steady job that pays a lot that you like doing.
Failures like to think the only alternative to "working" and trying to win the lottery doing shit like youtube/streaming/indie game dev is a 9-5 job at McDonald. It's probably because given their talents, that's the only place that will hire them.
I just watch videogame movies on youtube.
Thanks Gamersplayground!
Twitch streamer or Youtube let's player
attention doesnt pay bills user
I tell you that because I went through it, you have no idea how many times a bunch of people bought a game because a friend of them that pirated it recommended it to them, so yes it does.
>But he couldve also paid for it and recommended it.
You're right but my point still stands anyway, because as you said piracy is ineviatable
No, but you need to accumulate enough attention in order to get enough people buying. You won't make much with your first few games but keep that ball rolling and you will have a loyal fanbase who will do your bidding and spread the word.
>when people don't even know of your existence
Shill yourself on Sup Forums, obviously.
