It's a super mediocre paper mario style rpg. there isn't anything of note in the entire product other than:
1. Eggman is legitimately great. Just like Bowser in SMRPG, he steals the show.
2. Sonic can flirt with Amy and Rouge even though it goes nowhere.
3. The soundtrack got dumpstered at the last minute due to some kind of weird legal issue and was replaced with MIDI sounding dogshit like .
Really, if you give a shit enough to check prerelease footage of that area the music is completely different.
That's all. it's super forgettable.

It's solid. The music sounds like ass due to a sudden loss in music rights before release or something, so you get poor midi. To me, the game actually got better when they went to space. It's got its fair share of puzzles, like simon says and low level elementary school math. If you can handle stylus movement, then this is an ok sonic RPG. You can complete it in about 12 hours on new game and possibly 5 on NG+. If you do play it, don't forget to go back to green hill zone when you get like Fly level 3 or some shit so that you can go get the chao that automatically the action commands for moves that require PP. Makes healers and eggman moves less annoying to use.

Not only is he a fantastic character, but he legitimately wins in the end. Not like the fucking Sonic Riders shit where he sorta gets the wish but nothing comes of it
No, he ships off Sonic and co to another dimension (at Sonic's request) for a few weeks, except it's been years for Eggman, and when they get back, Eggman's won. He's conquered the world. And that's how the game ends.
